Recostruction of the Kaiser William Memorial Church, located in Berlin on the Kurfrstendamm in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz. The foundation stone was laid on 22 March 1891, William I's birthday. The competition for its design was won by Franz Schwechten who planned a large church in neo-romanesque style, including 2,740 square metres of wall mosaic. The spire was 113 metres high and the nave seated over 2,000 people.
