Are you tired of using the windmill for small properties in the middle of nowhere, where no powerlines are available? Then here's the solution: A small power generator, running on natural gas that is stored in an external tank. The power output is the same as the standard windmill, but it has a (very small) pollution impact. If you don't even like placing a power generator out there, the SFBT Wonder Tree might be an alternative for you. It has the same stats as the generator lot, but looks much better. ;-) You may argue that a power producing tree is not realistic, but on the other hand, Maxis didn't include underground power lines in the game, so we have to trick the game to enhance the overall look of certain areas.

City Builder | Thanks very much. I can\'t express how much I grew tired of placing windmills when they look totally out of place and started to create my own electric building but then thought I\'d search for someone elses work instead and found yours. It\'s definitely a great answer to having to place windmills when they look so damn out of place everywhere but in windmill farms. Thanks very much for the work. | 2008-01-12 |
