One-way Streets

Hey does anybody know about development of one-way streets--not roads, but streets?

One way streets were discussed sometime back as a way to give a lower capacity (and speed) to the OWR (One-Way Road)-1 network. Between the disadvantages of the street network, mainly the difficulties creating diagonals, and because of the amount of effort required relative to the perceived benefits, the project lost steam a long time ago and I haven't heard anything about it in more than a year.

I don't know that there's ever been plans for a two-laned, one-way street network.
