It seems like yesterday that SC4 Devotion burst onto the scene. Now the forums are packed with information, ideas, mayor diaries, competitions, and even Podcasts. And,with more than 41,000 members racking up well over 3.4 million downloads, the LEX has come of age. Whether you're looking for the newest projects, checking a favourite mayor diary, or finding the highest quality custom content, SC4 Devotion has been the home of quality content for two years.
What better way to celebrate this landmark than with a a very desirable present? Something so huge, it couldn't be uploaded without crashing a couple power grids. Maybe like a disc bursting with more great stuff than we could ever hope to list here.
The SC4D LEX DVD is all of these things and more. There is a host of new work from the stables of Simgoober, JBSimio, Marcszar and CSX that will only be available on the DVD for some time. There is also one very, very special LOT that will only ever be available on the DVD. This has been years in the making and it represents the finest collaboration of custom content creators ever seen in the SC4 community.
Also on the DVD is a large portion work from the BSC, past and present, the BSC Reward chain lots (and full reward chain documentation), the complete SNM Military Series (excluding selected dependencies), a starter pack of CAMelots with their dependencies, the latest NAM with updated features, all of Cycledogg's terrain mods, Wouanagaine's and iLive's tools and much, much more. Whether as a "fresh start" or a backup for your existing downloads, the SC4D LEX disk is this season's "must have".
Our gift to you when you donate €25 or more. Hurry, there are only a limited number of copies available so make sure you don't miss out.
The disk comes with a custom made interface, coded by Daeley that will allow you to browse the contents, read the readme's and either install everything or let you choose what to install. Mac users are also catered for as there are no Windows installers...simply copy the files from your disk to the plugins folder.
We would like to thank all of the custom content creators who have allowed us to distribute their work on this DVD. A special thanks also go to Barbyw, Jestarr, Daeley, Andreas and Callagrafx for their work in compiling, testing and producing this DVD.

FYI, CAM itself is not included... as it would soon become outdated... ::)
However, whereas CAM itself is small, the CAMeLots and their dependencies are big...
Donate and get it, and you'll get them all on a single tray... ehm... disk! :)
Could you post a direct link to the Donation page? The button isn't working for me in FF3.0 or Opera...

Why is that a problem? Lee is handeling the UK distribution and, despite royal mails best efforts, delivery has been quick and painless. ;)
Okay, forgive my ignorance...but just how much is €25 in American dollars nowadays? Given the recent state of things, I'm thinking it might be somewhere around $546.39, but I'm not quite sure... %wrd.

Donated, sitting twiddling thumbs now.
I have a couple of questions...please take no offense to these as I am only curious. Can those of us who are subscriptors have some of our original donation count towards this? Besides what has already been noted , is there a list of content included on the disc? (I noticed Wous' programs...does one of them have an "X" in it?) :D
Regardless , I am planing on adding this to my collection!
Jayson
Once my paypal clears the 6-8 day waiting period (I have it set to take money from my bank account instead of one of my credit cards) you should have my donation.
"There is also one very, very special LOT that will only ever be available on the DVD."
Darn...can we at least know what it is then? Never mind...but will it ever be available outside of the disk?

So, when should we start checking out mail?
It will depend somewhat on the outgoing mail schedule. I can tell you that I got mine from England within four days of it being sent out... and my address is a very rural post office box in California... not sure if you can get more distant than that in the US! :D
Jon I beg to differ lol, I cant wait for my DvD as soon as I can get the money together for it!!!

To be more accurate, the reason it's a disk only exclusive is the same reason it's never been released before....it's just too darn big for an online file exchange
so how long is UK delivery? does it fit through the letter box btw or does a stern faced postman ring the bell?
It's sent first class so 1-2 days, large letter. And it'll fit through the letterbox nicely. As Barby said, we'll be shipping disks on certain days, not ad-hoc (can't keep running to the post office for 1 disk at a time ) but you'll be notified of it's shipment so you will know when to expect it.
Har har har! I donated 15Euro just a few days ago cause of threats to the LEX remaining up. If I donate the difference can I get a DVD? Please Please Please?
Nov. 15, 2008 Donation To BSC Exchange Completed ... -€15.00 EUR
sithlrd98: Subscriptions and donations are completely different and separate so one will not count towards the other, sorry.
There isn't a complete published list as it would be too big. Wou's magic tool with X in the name is NOT on the disk.
What you will find on the disk, though, is the complete collection of SFBT releases - even those that were not published in English so far. :)

Hi Mas san
To answer your questions
1) Yes. However, the initial run of disks is limited but at the moment there are still plenty.....shop early for Christmas :D :D
2) There are too many to list (I kid you not). What I can tell you is that the DVD is full, and as Andreas said there is some stuff not previously released to the english speaking community. There are also some exclusives and a whole slew of previously unreleased work by Colyn.....oh, and some new stuff from Simgoober.
Masuda-san,
We have sufficient DVDs for now.
There is not a detailed list of the contents as it would be a very big list ;D There is most of the contents of the LEX, all the BSC Dependencies, a selection of CAMelots with their dependencies (many thanks to the kind Japanese gentlemen who gave permission for their models to be included), NAM, some maps and terrain mods. There are also some of wouanagaine's programs like SC4Terraformer and some exclusive items including the remodelled Petronas Towers.
Just to give you a rough idea, the DVD contains about 14000 files in 2872 folders (3.65 GB) - this includes the readmes and such, so I assume you can expect about 1400 different LEX items. :)
Here's a list of what's on...These are just the categories & creators...under each are many, many more files to play with

So does this have all the dependencies available on the LEX?
All the BSC dependencies yes...plus a few other non-BSC ones that we have permission to use.
It goes without saying there is no PegProd stuff on there.
toxicpiano: It has all the BSC Dependencies plus model packs from the LEX where we had permission from the creators. External dependencies or those that we did not have permission to include are linked in a special section on the disk.
Ah ok :) I guess I'll just fill in the gaps then
Im confused? Wouldn't this be against the EA rules, as a majority this content is not available for free, so therefore, it is mandatory for the user to pay if they want the content, making the donation just a fancy word to cover up for price? Wouldn't that then breach the EA rules?
I am not trying to persecute you guys in any way, I just want to make sure you understand this and have discussed this so you don't run into any issues with the law. Would make life harder for all of us if that happened, eh? ;)
thanks for providing this however, i will consider donating.
Actually, the vast majority of the content on this DVD is in fact available for free here on the LEX. There are several items on the disc that will be exclusive for some time... basically until the various creators decide to make their items publicly available on this or other exchanges. There is only one thing on the DVD that will remain permanently exclusive to the disc and that is primarily because the file is so large it cannot be uploaded to most public exchanges.
Not to worry... it's been discussed. ;)

Laws and the especially the EULA are just plain weird. I guess this is somewhat of a legal grayzone, but I seriously doubt it is illegal... &Thk/(

I wonder if they thought of uploading it in parts, like Reliant stadium...
I think just the model alone on the Petronas Towers is the massive part in it self that exceeeds all exchanges bandwiths.. lol
I wonder if the game has a maximum bandwith charge... ::) (besides when you crash the computer, the internet, and half the national power grid) &hlp

You probably could sell content if you
really wanted to. Ever been to those sims 2 sites where they charge you money to download their stuff? There are loads of those and the door hasn't been kicked in by EA ever.

We are not selling BATs in any case here. Even if the "get a free gift for your donation" wouldn't be accepted due to legal complications (there are no signs of that, though), it only means we would charge money for a service, not for the BATs themselves. Running a server costs money, and producing and shipping the DVDs cost money as well. All money that is donated goes right into those, and none of the contributors will be "paid" for their creations.
Simtrop has had the STEX disks as thank you gifts for years now without any legal implications whatsoever, so why would we have any? ::) ::) There ARE no legal issues, as the disk is NOT FOR SALE. Any donations go straight to running this site, which sits on a dedicated server at a cost of around $180 per month...

Correct. A model file is always the largest part of a custom upload, and the petronas tower model is HUGE. I think... don't quote me on this... but we are looking at around 15mb for just the model itself.

Petronas_BSC_Towers.dat is 17 656 818 bytes (= 17 243 KB = 16.8 MB). ;)
Hey it came while I was out!
By the way did you say that all the lots require/ are Cam enabled??
Everything on the disk has been updated using the X_Tool so all are "CAM" ready. The starter CAMeLot sets on the disk all have their dependent models on the disk.

To clarify (sorry Barby)....
"CAM Ready" means they will function as designed with or without CAM installed.
A "CAMelot" requires CAM for it to grow
ahh okay thank you for explaining. The difference i was seeing between this and the STEX is that the STEX disk is basically the stex on a disk while the LEX disk contains some items not available on the LEX, but now that Jbsimbio has cleared that up for me, i will considering donating!
In fact both STEX disks contain exclusive items.

$40 Canadian equates to 25 euros at the current exchange rate....And the Euro and dollar are international currencies. Your card (or paypal account) will be debited in canadian dollars, you simply have to enter 25 euros in the box when it asks you... ::)
Today yes, on Friday it was more like 46 47, the dollar has been sending me insane the past month and a half. I'm actually offsetting the cost in a different way - I took a freelance project that pays me in Euros - no exchange rate required. I get paid next week - its nice working a job that you can choose what currency to be paid in :)
According to my paypal account my eCheck has cleared! I was lucky, it only took $39.93 in funny canadian dollars to convert to 25 euros.
I am looking forward to being able to clear just over 3 gig off some flash drives.

How do you donate for the dvd. is it just under the yellow donate button at the top menu?
Yes that is where you can donate. I aim to ship every Friday but may do an extra one in between if I have to go near the Post Office.
I got news that mine is being shipped out today (Thanks Barby!) and am impatiantly waiting. A perfect belated birthday present as SC4 is the only time I seem to get any peace and quiet (3 year olds can be noisy!) and oh how I enjoy peace and quiet.
Once again, thanks for all the hard work you guys (and girls) have put into getting this out. The amount of personal time you have given up is very much appreciated.

I wish I could claim credit for the speed of arrival, Catty, but I can let our small local post office know. It seems for once that French bureaucracy is efficient

Never, Never told them !
how do we know when the dvd will be shipped
You would normally receive an email when the disk is posted.
Oh btw Barbyw, do you know what's the company name that deliverers? is DHL, FedEx, UPS, Estafeta?? just to know
I send via the French POstal Service - la Poste. Very efficient to New Zealand if you read Catty's post.
I wonder if it is more efficient for a shipment to Germany than the UK postal service... ;)
Oi! Don't knock the UK postal service....it took 4 days to ship from me in Wales to a PO Box in the middle of nowhere to JBSimio and it cost about 1.5 euros  :D :D

Oi! Don't knock the UK postal service....it took 4 days to ship from me in Wales to a PO Box in the middle of nowhere to JBSimio and it cost about 1.5 euros  :D :D

I got mine pretty quick also...forgot to thank you for that Lee!

If it is any consolation to Andreas, it took my disc 7 days to travel from the UK to Florida. Although there was a holiday that week, so it probably would have been a day less under normal circumstances.
Still, I'm not complaining... the DVD was worth the wait. Simply awesome! I'm still finding all kinds of surprises, such as a fair few old favorites which have been updated with the legendary X-Tool. ;D
Many thanks to Lee and Barby for posting - and to all the contributors for this fantastic disc. Christmas came early this year!

You're welcome, and thanks again for the kind donation.
forgive me for my ignorance but all i have to do is donate 25 Euros and i will be sent a cd or do i have to request it
Its no problem there Kdavis actually in USD it would be a donation around $ 32.00 or higher if you shall choose.... then you will be sent the DvD with all the goodies on it!!! Any further questions dont hesitate to ask either here or if you want to via PM
cheers

Major question: Are dependencies included on the disk?
All BSC prop/model and texture packs are included plus as many other packs as we were able. That depended on whether SC4D had permission to include them. Any dependencies that we had no permission to include are linked in a special page. The CAMelots on the disk are only those that have the dependencies on the DVD.
thankyou the help is much appreciated
Important Notice!!!
OK... maybe it wasn't as important as all that, but now that I have your attention... :D
As I have mentioned in a couple different places, the University of Clayhurst was under a bit of a time crunch to make the DVD's deadline. Because of this, there were one or two little things that I simply ran out of time to perfect. I have just uploaded a <a href="http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1876>LEX DVD - Clayhurst Patch</a> here to rectify those things.
These are honestly very minor changes... nothing is going to crash your game or change your life... but I really wanted to "fix" this anyway. The patch also includes a more detailed and complete readme than that which was shipped with the DVD. To install this patch, simply run the Cleanitol file
FIRST and then run the installer. (I cannot stress this proper order enough... run the installer first and you'll wind up missing all sorts of cool stuff) You will not need to bulldoze anything... or rebuild anything... just install the patch and go about your day. I should also mention that if you don't have the DVD, this download won't really do you a bit of good... sorry. ;)
Thanks and my apologies for any confusion!
JB
ok i donated 25 euros and is there supposed to be a notification or something that the dvd is being sent
I apologise to all who donated in the last 10 days as I had a HD failure and lost all my data. I got my computer back in the middle of last week and have just rebuilt my data. I posted a batch of 12 out yesterday including yours, Kyle.
Ah ok that explains why I didn't get an e-mail but found the dvd in my mailbox yesterday. :P
Excelent work BarbyW and all the others involved ofcourse.
Hello,
Are the models DAT packed or separate? For example: If I want SimGoober's Ace Hardware. Do I have to put an 8mb DAT file into my plugin folder for just one BAT?
Thank you,
DK2
It will depend on the developer more than likely. A lot of it will be packed into Dats as it makes filing easier.

The files are not DAT packed, that wouldn't be logical incase of an update witch a cleantool file. ;)
If you only want to install SG's Ace hardware you just select that one building and it will be installed.
The models, however, are all packed into dats as per the ones on the LEX.
I just dropped $34, er...I mean €25 for the LEX DVD. I'm looking forward to finding it my mailbox!
Cheers,
Kevin
Sure current USD is around $34 but I am happy to help out! Big thanks to all of the hours to the creative minds here. Can't wait to see the disk.
What address do you send the disk to?

What address do you send the disk to?
if you donate....yours :D
:) well of course mine. But I mean is it the address paypal gives you or the address off my bank card?
It would be what ever address you used with PayPal...
mcarch: the DVD would be sent to the address that I am sent by PayPal but if you want it sending to a different address you can send me a PM with that in. One of the other donators has already done that.
Hello, I'm new here but have been downloading for sometime so I figured it was time to give back. Then the day I do to my surprise I see this DVD is out which sounds pretty cool but I noticed a minmum of 25.00 is needed which was no problem I planned on donating 35.00 anyway ;)
Then I noticed the exchange rate turned 35.00 into 25.00 &mmm
So that was kinda weak... but also I think it payed in two payments (I don't know how really pay pal works only my second use) so long story shortened I was wondering if it did this would I still recive the DVD? Because I don't have that kind of money to donate again for a while.
I'm sorry if this sounds like I'm more interested in the DVD than helping the site it wasn't my intention. ()sad()
As long as the donation is 25€ it doesn't matter what currency it starts out as. If you have donated 35$ that will cover the minimum amount. If it is in two lots it won't make any difference.
Ordered on Friday, received on Monday! What a service it is. I can't wait to see what goodies are on it. Thank you, every person who has made content included on the DVD, and everyone who compiled it.
Had an old account, downloaded a fair bit, but too slow internet to download massive amounts in a reasonable amount of time, so this is awesome - donation sent (26 euros), hopefully it'll be here on Monday next week :) Thanks!
46bit: yours went in the post today.
I sent my donation in on Saturday evening, I believe, but wasn't sure if I could expect it before Christmas seeing as I'm living in the UK. I donated 30 euros. Have used the LEX quite considerably in the past, and now I've actually got working discs of Sim City 4 again, as well as a new computer, I can hopefully enjoy the CAM to it's full benefit. Also, looking forward to seeing the finished Petronas, as I remember when the first design pictures came up for it way back when :D
I received mine some time ago now - and finally got round to firing it up to have a look.
All I can say is WOW, what a great job the BSC team have done on this. The sheer scale of the content is VERY impressive the number of external dependancies is pretty low considering the volume of lots on the disc. And the speed you can install it all (or select the bits you want) was very quick. I got some discs from another SC site a couple of years back now and the installation was somewhat painful - and I was kind of assuming this would be the same - but no, this is QUICK!!
I can't wait to start a new quad in-game with nothing in my plug-ins apart from the contents of the LEX Disc.
To any new comers to the site (or older timers like me) I say this disc is ESSENTIAL.
So to Barby and the crew, I salute you all and say this is a job amazingly well done - thank you.
Paul

Awesome indeed ;D
I also have recieved my DVD just recently and all I can say is this is a must have.
This disk not only looks great but is very easy to use and it just takes minutes to download over 3gb of high quality custom content. This is the perfect way to ensure you have up to date BSC files and all the dependencies needed to use all of thier stuff.
I must add that I have had a look at the PETRONAS, this may very well be the best model ever made. The amount of details and work put into this model and LOT is incredible and makes the DVD worth every penny.
As well you'll find some other incredilbe exclusives, but you'll have to get the disk to see them. ;)
I'll remind everyone that their is a contest going on in my MD and I love to give away things... ::).... ;)....maybe it's going to be a SC4D DVD. ()stsfd()
Support the site......Donate!! and get your DVD.

Hey I'm just wondering if my money was recived and if it was where is my disc (lol that sounded pushy sorry)?
I'm just on hold from the game until I get it! XD
At this time of year you are going to have to make allowances for the various postal systems around the world
As I have no idea who you are from your username or email address on here I cannot tell you if your donation has been received or the DVD posted. If you PM me your real name I can then tell you.
Not to sound pushy :P, but just wondering where my dvd (Michael Mokrysz, 26 euros, sent already) was sent from so that I know roughly when to expect it? Thanks ;D
46bit: Your DVD was sent from France on Monday 15th Dec as I told you above.
You may experience delays as a result of Christmas post.
I am also waiting for a new batch of DVDs. As these will probably not arrive before Christmas now there may be a delay if there are any donators between now and when they arrive. I have 4 DVDs left and once they have been sent out I will have no more until the new batch arrives.
Rest assured that DVDs are being shipped at least once per week and more often than not twice a week. If anyone has any queries please do not hesitate to ask.
Barby,
I assume Lee sent me my DVD from his locale in Wales?
Cheers,
Kevin
I just installed everything. wow &apls &apls &hlp
Kevin: your disk was sent by me on Monday last 15th December.
My DVD arrived yesterday, and have been playing like mad seeing all the new rewards and lots appearing in my cities. Now all I need to do is actually start making cities that look halfway interesting and I might just get some pictures up :D
Thank you, Barbara! Now how long does it take a DVD to make it from Brittany to Mississippi the week before Christmas? ::)

Kevin

Ahhhh, one of life's eternal questions :D
something to ask pls.....i have also received the DVD very recently , and i would like to ask something..
well , in the main window menu , there are two links that do not seem to work....external dependancies , and BSC reward chains..is that normal? and what are their meaning pls?
thanx
Both those links should open up a web page in your default browser.....
no! they don't.... :'(....is there any alternative way to reach those files? LEX may be?
Check the DVD itself, you should find the HTML files here. For opening them, simply double-click on one of those.
yes ! Andreas , i think it works !....by the way i have recently discovered your work and please accept my congratulations for your great work...
now , can please answer me someone what those BSC reward chains files means?
The reward chains were a way of making the game a bit more interesting by providing a reward instead of just plopping a lot. BSC developed the idea and there are many chains of lots required to get some of the higher level rewards. For instance you may need to grow x number of a certain type of farms in order to get reward A. Then some different farms to get reward B and so on once you have all those rewards you may be offered a new reward. If you follow the links in the different lots in the chain page you will find what you need to get each one.
lol, blooming postmen... wait's getting unbearable :'( Think I might order a second and hope one gets here soon ;)

Glad to hear it has arrived in Mississippi quicker than the UK. ::)
Took a bit longer to make it to Kansas (USA) but this is better than I expected it to be!!! ¡Aunque que hablo dos idiomas no tengo bastante palabras para decirles que bueno es! To those who are on the fence about donating...get off it and donate. This is an incredible piece of work! Installing now and if it is as good as I think it will be I will be sending you a few more euros.
Gracias

Well, thought it'd been lost in the post but it arrived today! Thanks, loading it up now. :)

Takes longer to hop across the channel than the pond ::)
Indeed, mad - truly typical of most everything here in Britain, or at least that's how it seems nowadays...
Anyway, to add my reccomendation to all those that have gone before: this is wonderful indeed, massive well arranged volumes of content. It also works perfectly on Vista 64-bit in case anyone's unsure and has been put off 'buying' because of that.

I will second that plug for 64-bit Vista. Working just great for me. That is ironic about delivery to the US versus the UK...so much for that fancy tunnel. ;)

Also haven't had any problems so far... then again, I never had any problems switching to 32-bit Vista either, which is apparently the worst thing that ever happened to computers so who knows? :D
JB
I'm assuming there's still copies around? Cause it would certainly make playing the game easier if I hadn't to fiddel with the countless files I have nowadays. Might even tempt me to throw out the "old" collection and start anew.
I was wondering if the new stuff on the LEX from Simgoober is also on the DvD or is this totally diffrent releases?
Only items released before the end of October are included in the DVD.
It is possible that another DVD or CD will be offered later in the year with items not included in the original.
There will be copies of the DVD available again in approximately 2 weeks. The hold up has been as a result of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
In that case: consider the donation made :)
I hope the loot comes in handy ;)
To all who have donated in the last week, I have all the DVDs ready to post but regrettably my local post office will not reopen until Monday so they cannot be posted until then unless the one in the bigger village is open tomorrow when I pass through on my way shopping. The joys of living in rural Brittany ::)
My DVD is taking forever to reach here. Barby posted it on Dec. 19th. Today is Jan 3. I still haven't received it yet. Anyone else's taken this long? I'm in the Central US.
Bearing in mind that I'm just across the channel from him here in the UK, mine took 12 days... not quite as long as yours, but bearing the distance for mine would be measured in hundreds not thousands of miles... anyway, I know how you're feeling. Hope it gets to you soon!
I got the CD yesterday. Thanks Guys/Gals for a great product!
Thanks goodness yours finally arrived, mcarch, as I have none left now and it will be next week before I get a new batch. I would have hated to make you wait even longer.
Once you see what is on the DVD, you'll forget about everything else. ;)
Robin ;D
I started to wonder...
Is there anything else I need to do after making the donation? Or do you have my name and adress?
Your name and address will be shown in the PayPal receipt that I get. I sent a batch out on Monday but there will be no more despatched until the end of next week at the earliest - that is if I get the new batch. I shall start sending out again as soon as the batch arrives.
great, I won't be at ease that everything went right until the disc arrives though
I am just wondering where I am at on the list for the disc. I donated several days ago and am just curious if I am on the group that was sent out or if I will be on the next list. No matter either or, I would just like to know roughly when to expect it.
Thanks guys! This thing is what I have been hoping for for a long time!

alright that sounds good. Thanks for letting me know!
After Customs finally cleared it, (They hate me for some reason, probably because I am addicted to eBay) and CanadaPost finally got their collective butts together, I now have my shiny copy of the DVD. I haven't even browsed through half the files yet and boy-oh-boy am I happy.
I PMed a thanks to Barby, but I thought I should also make a public ones to all the people who took the time to put this collection together and all the creators who allowed there material to be in said collection.
So, without further adieu

There was a bit of a delay on this as the duplicators did not keep the original master (as they were asked to do) and then the Christmas break held things up again. Deepest apologies to the kind souls who have donated but haven't had their gifts yet, you will get them as soon as the new batch is done. We didn't expect such a high demand and as such, misjudged the re-order time.
made my donation!! waiting, waiting, waiting....
@ Lee its all good there no need to appoligize... That is something beyond your control and something the Duplicators didn't keep track of...
@ sfchao just a wee bit o patience there my friend, as Lee did say there is a delay cause of a mishap at the Dupilcators....
I am happy to say that while I was home on leave from Afghanistan I received my disc. I have had little time to look through it but what searching I have done, it is definitely worth it and a big thanks to everyone involved!
Donation made ;)
Alright, I just donated, anxiously waiting for the disk now....
Donated about half an hour ago, I can barely wait! ;D :P I've been waiting to make a fresh start for ages, so I can start an MD.
Can people please, if they donate, PM Barbyw with the paypal email address you donated with so we can tie up the donators with the forum/LEX databases.....thank you.
I had a quick question about the Disk that I do not think has been answered or if it has I have just overlooked it. I have approximately 300 downloads and I am guessing that 295 of those are from the LEX. I would say that this would cover the majority of the content on the LEX Disk but am still very much considering getting it but wanted to know how does the duplicate material interact. With the installer from the disk will it take care of everything or am I going to wind up with a ton of duplicates since I created my own folders to organize; transportation, utilities, commercial, etc...? Also is the installer on the disk quick to use, a couple of clicks and are you on your way to Sim City Paradise?
Thanks for any feedback.
Well I sent the PM to BarbyW, but I haven't received a response of any kind, so I'm not sure if it was fully successful or anything.
Yes it was successful, commanderkai, and your DVD is on its way.
The DVD has a lot of exclusive material as well as much of the downloads available on the LEX. We included all possible Dependencies - the ones we couldn't include were those for whom we had no permission - and some of the tools available like SC4Terraformer and SC4Mapper plus all cycledogg's terrain mods. It can be regarded as a back up plus exclusives.
The DVD has its own browser - written specially by Daeley - but is browsable by folder via Explorer. The folders are divided into groups like Agriculture, Transport etc with sub folders in each. It has the April 2008 version of NAM, not the latest version as the DVD was compiled before it was ready.
Heheh...sorry about being all nervous, I'm not a fan of purchasing things online, to be honest. But no matter! I can't wait to get my hands on it!
Donated today!
Hope to get a DVD soon! ;)
Since my hard drive recently fried and my old back up is a mess, I'm thinking about buying this disk and start over. But since it's as expensive as buying the game again, I wanna make sure, are all the dependencies already in it? And are these compatible w/ NAM from Jan09?
The disk isn't for sale but is a gift if you donate 25€ or more to support SC4Devotion.
I was compiled last September so has everything up to that point in the way of dependencies from the LEX. It also does not have the Jan 2009 NAM but the previous version which can be updated with the Jan 2009 ones.
It has a huge amount of stuff on it including a lot of DVD exclusives.
Donation made this week!
Thanks to all batters, modders, etc. here at SC4D!
DVDs for donations made since Wednesday last will be posted on Monday. I had run out of packaging but bought some today. Sorry for the delay.
No probs, Barby! I won't be at my shipping address for another couple of weeks anyway. :)
Hey Barby and Lee just a wondering what is the rough totals of Disc handed out todate?
Just wanted to let you know mine arrived!! Thanks so much.
Pat, approximately 160 to date.
wow that is sweet!!! I hope that there is still some left cause hopefully after this weekend I can finally get mine!!!
Sure do have some left, and one with your name on, Pat.
This will definitely be of use to me, as I have barely downloaded from the LEX before (forgot my password ()sad()).
I live in the US. Looking up the exchange rate, 32 USD seems to equal 25 Euros. Does this seem right? I'm looking to donate real soon.

Yours was posted yesterday, Todd. Hope it arrives as quickly as one of the recent ones - from France to USA in 3 days - has to be a record. ;D

also what is the difference between this disc and the ones that Simopolus is putting out, as i own bout the STEX disc's i was wondering what extra content is on your disc that would make it worth the 45$ or whatever it comes to with the exchance rate
thanks
There are a limited number of DVDs left. The disks that Simtropolis has have content that is at least two years old. The SC4D DVD has content from the LEX that is mainly new. There is also a considerable amount of exclusive material including Petronas' Towers which will continue to be DVD Exclusive. It also contains as many dependencies that we were able to obtain permission to include.
k thanks for the info
will be submitting my donation in the next couple days
thanks

i figure with this dvd, the simopolus and the peg legacy cd i should be off to a great start with my city

Hello there! I am a new member and must say I am sincerely amazed by all the good things that are found here and the very nice way it is all brought to us by this very nice site. I would like to do a donation to uhm... of course in the first place support you guys and everyone involved in making all the new lots and everything else that makes this brilliant game even more a gem and making it all easily available to us. I would also like to know if the LEX disk is still available so I can enjoy all the new stuff to the fullest (sorry , i'm only human ).
I recently started playing SimCity 4 again and must say I'm hooked. The way Simcity 2000 did to me in the early Nineties. I still have that game and installed it just to see what it was like. That was a nice trip down memory lane but also a big evidence that the games has made a "slight" progress, in many ways, but most noticeably the graphics department, in the last one and a halve decade. Curiously I started looking on the web to see what the ever diligent mod community has done for this game. To say that I was both pleasantly surprised by the quantity and truly amazed by the quality that is to be found here is a gross understatement.
Anyway, not to be all to elaborate in my enthusiasm, I will donate to this site be sure, only I would very much like to know if the disk is still available and if it can be delivered to me in the Netherlands.
Cheers,
RemKoo
There are a very limited number of disks available so if you are quick you will get one. ;D
We are currently looking at preparing a follow on CD - approx 10€ although a final figure has not yet been set. Once this is compiled I shall order a new batch of DVDs and the new CD at the same time.
We shall keep you informed.
Okay, I donated. However the post address mentioned on the PayPal receipt isn't correct anymore. I tried mailing the right address to the e-mail address mentioned on the PayPal receipt, but that came back rejected. Please mail me so I can reply with the correct address where the disk can be send to.

I just got back into playing SC4 and found this site. Everything looks amazing, but I'm bewildered by how much there is and don't know where to begin. So, logically, I should probably donate and get the LEX Disk.
Do you have any of the Vol 1 discs left? And if not, when do you expect that more will be ordered?
I have 4 left and none waiting to be sent so if you are quick you will get one. Otherwise it will be 3 or 4 weeks before I have a new batch.
Awesome, done. Keep up the great work! &apls
I have received your donation and will post the DVD tomorrow or Monday - depends whether our local post office is open when I go out to shop tomorrow. We are very rural and our PO opens when it feels like it - well it seems like that sometimes.
Done as well!
(That took me a while, didn't it?)
YaY I finally was able to donate tonight, now is time for the waiting game for the best DvD collection yet!!!!
I am now waiting for the next batch of DVDs. These should arrive within the week now so all outstanding donations are in a queue.
You'll have to be patient a bit longer, Pat, sorry.
aaaaaaaaaaaagh darn my luck siiiigh.... oh well its worth the wait now that I gotten this far!!! Thank you Barby!!
How does this work exactly? I just have to donate 25 Euros and you then automatically ship the DVD to me?
Thx!

Hi there Goonch that is correct just donate 25 Euros or $34.17 USD current rate as of when I donated the other day....
Hey Barby I was wondering if my DvD has been shipped yet??? I'm like a like a little kid eagerly awaiting Christmas morning here hehehe
I am still waiting for the new batch to arrive. I'll try to find out what is happening on Monday as I emailed and have had no reply yet.
Oook (in a sad pathetic voice) :D :D Barby thank you for your hard work your doing on this project!!!
Hi BarbyW, I donated on 27 April. Am I also waiting for the new batch of DVD's or is there something wrong. I also changed in that session my home address because it was an old address.
Can I somehow verify the address where you are sending the DVD to?
Thanks!
pica: I have PMed you with the address I have for you. I apologise for the delay and will ring the duplicators tomorrow.
I am informed that the batch of DVDs was dispatched to me last Friday so I should get them in the next day or so.
hehehehe sweet thank you for the news there Barby!!!! I cant wait and try it out on my new machine for sure!!!!
Good news and bad news. The DVDs arrived this afternoon but too late to be sent out today. Tomorrow is a holiday in France so the earliest I can post them is Friday. I also have to go and get some more envelopes but that isn't a problem on Friday.
I shall post once I have sent them.
Better late then never Barby. And I'm sure everyone appreciates all the hard work you are doing (I know I do)and can wait patiently for such a great jam packed DVD.
Robin
Oooooooh Yea same here Barby!!! I so have much respect for you ma'am!!!! Heck I've been waiting this long whats a bit longer going to do to me??? :D
My local post office accepted 26 envelopes today with DVDs going throughout the planet. Norway to Australia, USA to Japan - a points of the compass covered.
I did actually see them being loaded onto the lorry to go to the sorting centre so know they are on the way from here. I just hope they all arrive safely and as soon as possible.
Barby thank you ma'am your a miracle worker!!!! I bet it was a real treat to see them loaded up and the post office was wondering what you was doing???
Okay so I'm interested in getting the DVD. For the donation do I just click that donation link up at the top and follow the instructions? A bit confused since there's the donation link and then the subscription.
-- John
DFire870 , just follow the Donation Link. The subscription one is different.
Barby you want to hear something real scary? I checked my mail box this afternoon and low an behold my DvD showed up!!!! Thank you ma'am!!!
Woweee, that was quick. Posted Friday in Brittany and arrived in Michigan on Tuesday. Congrats to the postal services on both sides of the pond.
Hi Barby, mine went a little further, but arrived Tuesday as well. But it was travelling downhill all the way ::)
Well I can only say this is wonderful news for all. I am amazed at the speed of delivery but very pleased.
Enjoy the DVD, all of you.

Oh come on Pat... you're all of 30 miles from Michigan anyway! Although, then again... I guess you could be Canadian by that logic too. Maybe you'd better just stick with Wisconsin after all! :D
Not that there's anything wrong with Canada I suppose...
JB

Once I visited an elevator in New York city and was asked in brooklyn-ese 'where I hailed from' and I said 'NeKoosa WI' he then welcomed me to the USA as he stated he doesn't meet many Canadians out side of Canada... ??? %wrd
I truly don't know if was yanking my chain or was for real... and if hes for real... God help us... I got off my floor before I could set things straight... although I'm in the Fox Valley now, I'm amazed by out of state visitors who are simply geographically ignorant, after it was my best subject, even winning a few competitions, in school... Alright, just donated and can't wait for my DVD to arrive. Since I cleaned out my SC folders I figured the DVD would be a great place to start up my files again.
-- John
Got my disk today, didn't take too long as it's been a week and a half. Can't wait to load it up and see all the goodies on there. Thanks!
-- John
10 days from here to you isn't too bad, John, considering two days are weekend. Hope you enjoy it.

I can ship anywhere. All four corners of the globe but I cannot guarantee your postal system, sorry.

Well really thanks for all the stuff you do around here.
Steve
Hi, I donated 25 euros last week and wondered when I would hear from you guys. ()what()

Sounds like yours. Hopefully if your post co-operates you should have it fairly quickly

Hey Juicebox I am happy you will be getting a DvD but remember a little patience is needed depending if Barby gets your order and also if there is any DvDs left from the last batch she might have gotten.... It took me about 4 days to get it when Barby sent it out from France.... I live in Rhinelander Wisconsin 54501 if that gives you any idea lol.... I am about 200 +/- miles from Canada border
oh, I'm not worried about how long it will take. I was just posting it up there showing that it was completed. I wasn't sure if I needed to do so or not. I figured it would take up to two weeks to get the dvd with me being in Florida. I wasn't worried about it or anything. It's not that big of deal how long it takes anyways, I'm still waiting on my computer to be shipped to me from my home in Cincinnati Ohio. Then Ill be wanting to play once I have my computron! haha. :)
LoL Scott sorry I misunderstood ya's there and normally you wouldn't have to post that unless there is a discrepancy in the payment sent...
Patrick
Ha, checked my mail today and I see that I received the disk already! That was pretty good timing. thank you very much!!!!
I shall be away from home for a week and then not available again for another few days. If you donate in the next two weeks it may be a while before I can send the DVDs. I will send them as soon as I am able.

Well, i suppose I'm missing the obvious %confuso - how do I donate to get a LEX Disk? I know that I need to create a PayPal account, but what then? How do I actually donate? When clicking on the "donate" button, I just get the explanation of how to support sc4, but I cannot find a link where I can enter the paypal code or something like that? ()what()
Well forget about the above .. it was just that my companies internet settings obviously filtered the "donate" button. &sly I donated 25 EURO right now, so hopefully I will receive a LEX CD from you ..? ::)
I recently donated here, and I would like to know when I can expect a confirmation that the DVD has been sent.
Your DVD was posted on Tuesday 4th August.

Hi BarbyW, thanks, received the DVD last week and already started installing ...!!
Just donated. Hope there's one more DVD left ;).
I donated today. I hope there are copies of the disk left because I am anxious to see what's on it.
Can I donate € 25 and download DVD image or files?
Cob0ld: if you donate €25 I will send the DVD to your address as supplied to PayPal. I'm afraid we do not have downloadable version.
BarbyW
I do not have PayPal and I do not want him to do ... I have only a credit card ... :'(
And you send a DVD to Moscow (Russia)? :)
We send the DVD anywhere
Mon Dieu, Barbyw, vous êtes très rapide! I'm sorry, that's about all the French I can speak. Anyway, I got the DVD today. I took a quick peek at it and ,damn, it looks fantastic. To all you people who made this DVD possible, I can only say: MAGNIFICENT! &apls. I just can't stop drooling all over my keyboard. I'm glad I took a couple of weeks off, I really gonna need them.
I am sending the first of the CDs - the follow on to the DVD - out today. These will be going to members who donated 35€ more since 1st Sept. One is being sent as a single CD, the other is going with the DVD as that donation has only just arrived.
Lee will be doing a big announcement - I hope - but basically the donation levels are as follows:
10€ - will receive the CD
25€ - will receive the DVD
35€ or more - will receive the DVD and the CD.
SC4D would like to thank all donators and hope that you enjoy the DVD and/or CD.
The CD is basically items from the LEX from Oct 2008 to April 2009 plus one VERY special exclusive which is not going to be made public. It is, however, something that a lot of people have wanted for a long time. If you get the CD, please do not post what the exclusive item is as it would spoil the surprise.

Not quite sure what to say apart from the CD is jam packed full of the best of the best, plus as Barby has mentioned, something really rather handy to have....
Our warmest thanks must go to Barby, who has once again done a huge amount of work compiling this edition...the BSC and this community would not be what it is without her. It's hard to imagine that less than a year after we launched the DVD, we needed to release an additional CD of content, and content of the highest quality. It's heartening to see that the custom content creators, testers, players and enthusiasts have made SC4D
the premier site for Simcity 4. This disk is, once again, a big thank you to everyone who supports this site.

I'm not one to ruin a surprise, but I just received my disc and it is well worth the 10€. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what it was!
If I'm not mistaken, there are a few other presents on the disc as well. It's good stuff.
Plus, you get to support SC4D too! What's not to like?
P.S. Special thanks to BarbyW for the fast shipping.
Just made my donation for the follow on CD
Looking forward to checking my mailbox in the coming days :D
Thanks to Barby and all for their hard work in compiling this CD

euhm, the donate button doesn't work for me: it says: error concerning content coding. I'm using firefox 3.5 btw
EDIT: grrr, just discovered that paypal only supports credit card payments for the LEX DVD from Belgium, which means I'm back to square one
EDIT2: was too impatient, just donated €36
I am in the US so for the DVD plus the CD I have to donate $51 dollars?
That is the current rate of exchange, fantnet.
I just sent a donation of the said amount. My email address that the payment came from was dr(dot)modena(at)gmail(dot)com
Can someone confirm this was received and let me know when I could expect the DVD!
I am so excited to receive it!
This is a repost: I wanted to all say that before you send the DVD, I was considering donating the additional amount to recieve the CD as well. Please confirm that I can go ahead and do such!
Thanks!
HI there modena,
yuppers you can still donate to get the CD as well... If you just donated for the DvD I wouldn't see why you couldn't chip in the extra...
Should I just send the extra amount? Can someone also verify that they received my first donation and when I could expect the DVD/CDs?
modena, your DVD is to be posted today. Sorry about the delay but I haven't been out this week. As the envelope is all sealed it will be easier to send the CD separately when you donate again.
Well I'm proud to say I finally got around to donating. I had a hard drive failure and lost all my SC4 downloads so I thought this would be a good way to not only contribute to my favorite SC4 site but also rebuild my plug in folder. Thank you all very much for your efforts.

I just donated 35 euros, can't wait to see what the special item on the CD is... :)
I'm on board for the follow up CD
just made the donation :)
I apologise to all who are waiting for their DVD/CD. I have had a combination of no transport and unexpected Post Office closing so any outstanding ones are being posted today.
Do I have to pay via Paypal or could I pay using my Credit card through the tool that pops up when I offer to donate (through Paypal). I only ask as i cannot remember the account name for my paypal account and I desperately need dependencies NOW :(
The disc arrived on friday... very fast.
Super, tnx and on to the next one in 2010
Bindie: As far as I am aware you can use your card to pay via the PayPal link.
Crazy_Ivan80: good to hear it arrived quickly. We do our best ;D
CD & DVD arrived. THANK YOU! &apls
Now, as I'm not that familiar with all the content, what is the secret lot that is only available on the CD? I didn't see any "Exclusives" folder there... Don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone by accidentally asking about it or something... PM me? Please :)
Ah, the special on the CD is SC4PIM. This was released before wouanagaine returned to the community from his RL. He then made some minor adjustments to the program and released it on the LEX. You will, however, have a back up of that (and the User Guide in fancy format ;D). There are some exclusive farming items as well.
Cool. Thanks!
Are there still CDs available? To make the donation, do I simply follow the instructions on the donate page (accessed through the Donate Botton on the horizontal bar)?
Yes CDs are still available although none will be sent out now until at least next Thursday. I am away from home so cannot do any posting of disks.
J'ai une question à quelques-uns.
1) Premièrement, I have made a donate of 30 euros last week. I want to know what the time of attempt for France?
2) Is there a lot of exclusive lot in the DVD?
Thanks!
I am sorry, issa76, but I live in a small village in Brittany and I have been unable to leave my house for over a week. We had 30cm of snow and could not use out car until today. I do not have a post office in the village but I will post all outstanding DVDs and CDs on Monday. If La Poste does its job, you should have on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

Wow. 30cm of snow! That's almost a whole foot! Hope yu are having some fun bobsledding or snow skiing! Am chomping at the bit for the LEx disk but understand being snowed in as have had that experience several times. Are you going to do a special city project of your home town under the snow?
;D
My village is FAR too small to figure in an SC4 project. We have a total of 200 inhabitants in quite a large area. ;D
hey why not? I'm sure that's a great place!
Euh, I ask again my question, in the CD, there will be exclusive lots?
There I placed my donation :D
Can't wait to get the dvd gift now.. Meanwhile work on my SC4 city building skills :)
Thanks for awesome site!!
I was just wondering when the Dvd is sent out ? I placed the donation on Jan 22. 2010.. And gotten no response back..
This email confirms that you have donated €25.00 EUR to BSC Exchange (bsclex@linkafrica.net) using PayPal.
I just can't wait to get it.... And some one in charge please give me a response :)
Thanks. Awesome site !! Keep it up!
I do not have a Post Office in my village and do not go to the town every day. I post usually once per week when I have 4 or 5 to send out. This week the packages were sent on Tuesday 26th January. Please be patient.
Thanks for response. Looking forward to recieve the mail.
G'Day Barby,

If so I shall organise the money when I return home.
Thanks

omg , Cd's where in my mail box when I got home from work today ... again thanks for awesome service!!
DVDs and CDs are still available.
After one week with the disc's.. Some trouble getting it all to work correctly, I must say OMG theese disc's is what every sim city 4 players need!
Awesome work putting them together in a very structured way.. When I finaly understand how things work with ( DAT, BAT , LOT, Dependencies, Prop .. I think I understand it all, but maybe I still got a few things I havent learned hehe . Will know if/when I start making my own Lot's etc )
So thanks sc4devotion.com for making this possible!!!!
Hooray. The DVD & CD were in the mailbox when I got home Saturday. Thanks a bunch, BarbyW! Now all I have to do is build a new PC to replace the old nine year old souped up Dell to speed the game up again.
Merci Beaucoup!!!
Made my first couple forays into SC4 tool and PIMX, got rid of some 'sparkles' and changed the wealth on a couple of lots. (Successfully I might add..after lots of reading!) I do have back ups of my back up of my downloads, but the DVD is the 'Ultimate' back up in my mind...
I have made a donation... and will be watching the post box for the first time in years! ;D
Was curious though.. is there a way to let the Lex downloader 'know' I have all the files on the DVD? I love the fact that the Lex download system lets me know when files I have have been updated!
Cheers... and don't hurry to the post on my account. ;)
Hi, I'm interested in making a donation in order to require this. I just wanted to confirm that disks are still available and that you'll ship to the US. Also, do you need anything beyond the 25 euros to cover overseas shipping?
Thanks.
DVDs and CDs are still available and the donation covers the cost of postage and packing.
Bonjour a ts et ttes.

Hello
Just got a small problem with the paypal thing. I Live in France and on the donation page, the only addresses possible are in the UK. :'( Is it me being stupid or is there a solution??
I would like to buy LEX Disc vol 1.
I live in Ireland but my English is not good.
On what account to send money? Can I pay in euro?
How long I'd wait on the LEX Disk?
Can I pay my account with Bank of Ireland?
Donations can only be accepted via PayPal, I'm afraid. You would need to set up an account with PayPal. Once you have a PayPal account, by selecting Donate you should be taken to YOUR login account for PayPal where you can make the donation. I receive a notification of the donation from PayPal and then despatch the DVD/CD.
I don't know about other countries, but in Germany, you can sign up at PayPal and enter your local bank account data, so everytime you want to send money via PayPal, they simply take the selected amount from your bank account. So go to the PayPal website, select your country, and read about their terms of service.
It is the same in France as I do that with my personal PayPal account.

You should be able to click on the country name and select France from the drop down menu, if that does not work just set your donation amount at the top of the page then sign in without inputting any information on the left column. :)
hello webmaster!
I began to play "SimCity 4" recently. But, I cannot Satisfied by usual play. &cry2
Then, "Network Addon Mod" was introduced, and it reached "CAM".
I was allowed to use your site frequently to collect the CAMeLot file.
It satisfies it with the favor very much. Thank you. :D
I contributed it for you though it was a little sum.
It would be greatly appreciated if it could use it.

Hey there, I'm new on this forum. - But I have played sc4 deluxe for quite some time now.
Anyway, I want to ask if this DVD gets shipped to you automatically when you donate £25, or how excactly does it work?
I really really would like the DVD, and if that means donating £25, I will gladly do so. Very nice with all these cool downloads available!
Thanks in advance,
Jonas

Yes, quite automatically, about once a week... ;)
...and our automated posting machine is called Barby... :) ::)
Once a week unless the posting machine has a bank holiday - four of them in May, transport problems - my car won't start and my husband's has a problem with the exhuast, or I run out of DVDs.
I am very close to the latter at the moment but will queue any donations that arrive if I do run out.
are you sending to Kuwait? Forget that idea... to get things in Kuwait.. have to send to company... perhaps can get and have sent to my states address??????????? will see when you get the next disk out with all the lattest and greatest on it...
PS. IS IT POSIBLE YOU CAN PREPAIR A ISO FILE TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD IT WHEN ONE MAKES A DONATION? perhaps would be better than trying to ship to some areas!!!.. thank you for the idea :-)
I have a few questions:
- After you donate 25 EUR, do you recieve some kind of notification?
- If all is well, about how long should shipping take to the US?
At the moment I am out of stock of DVDs but hope to have a new updated one ready soon. If you donate now I will put your details in a folder to be shipped as soon as I have some DVDs.
I donated on 2010/July/08. Will I still receive a disk?
I'm afraid you will have to wait as the last ones were posted out last week. You will receive one in due course.
Hello
I donated yesterday so did u'll send me a copy of LEX DVD ?
I am currently out of stock but have all donations recorded so they will be sent out as soon as I have new ones.
Cool - Can't wait for my disk to get here :-)
I will donate for it once the DVD is available again and announced here.

Can someone give me a progress report on the DVD? I know it's been about a month now. Thank you!

I've sent you an e-mail and a PM, gecko. ;)
Is there going to be more DVD/CDs or at this point is there just to little interest in the game to produce more? :(
The CD is still available, and the DVD is currently being updated. ;)
A few months back i donated for a disk which must have got lost in the post. Can you advise me when the dvd will be ready so i can try again.
Thanks

Hello
A few months back (middle of july) i donated for a disk which I never received. Can somebody advise me when should I expect teh CD/DVD (or should I just forget about it)?
Thanks
Bojan
To all of those who have donated, and are waiting for the DVD:
August 29th I sent everyone an e-mail explaining the situation, and offering a temporary solution.
That message was also sent to you Bojci43 in a PM on August 26th.
The temporary solution is to get access to my personal server and download the DVD from there.
So far only two people have replied and downloaded it though.
Right now there's nobody in charge of the DVD updating at BSC,
so I cannot give a firm date on when the new DVDs will be shipped.
Anybody wanting to download the DVD themselves is free to contact me in a PM to get the login details.
In any case, anybody who's downloaded the DVD will also receive the new updated one, once it's done.

Yes the electronic transfer is still available but you will have to wait for a couple of weeks as Ripplejet is on holiday.
Are you able to ship to New Zealand? I'm sorry if this has been asked before. :)

BarbyW post office :)
I just donated, can i get an PM?
I just made the donation. I should have checked on availability :-[ but I saw the front page advertising it and decided that I WANTED the collection that much. Is there a chance the late donors can still have access to it? It looks awesome! (and I love this site)
is the dvd still avaible?
but what's inside? couse i can download files from 2007 or later, what about file before 2004?
thanks for the replay
Every time I visit Toronto I think to myself "I can do it better" but it's been years since I clicked play. Now experiencing a plug-in DirectX problem which I assume is a plug in problem which means uninstall and reinstall... yuck.
Wondering about the direct download vs. DVD - is it an ISO for ready burn? I'm ready and willing to download because I'd like the add-ons sooner than later (especially if later is never if there are no more DVDs!)
Thanks,
Glad to be back.

Yes, it's an ISO file, packed as a RAR file to reduce the size of the download.
Donation by paypal. Anyone online who can help out with the download info?
Hello I donated about 2 – 3 weeks ago and I was just wondering when I would be getting it in my mail box

Since there are no dvds in stock (read the title of this thread), we cannot ship them out at the moment...
While waiting for the new dvd to be made (nobody is making it at the moment though),
you can always send me a PM if you want to download the old dvd as an ISO file:

Hi,
What's the process of donating and receiving the link to the download? I've got a paypal account, but it uses a different email and name to this account; how will you know it was me who donated?
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to donate to this site altruistically, but I'm rather skint at the moment so getting something in return is appealing.
Thanks,
Holydave
I have made a 25 euro donation via paypal yesterday. Do we need to download from the link for the DVD or are they being shipped?
I have give 10 euro it there in already some supporting time, I want to have access in downloading or what one dispatch the CD by post.
Thanck you.
Paul

... or is it sold out? ...
It has been for some time. But it may come back. About a year ago I was tasked wth the project to go through the DVD to find and correct errors. Matt325 helped. I did that and then the project stalled out for a while.
I traveled to London this summer and handed a corrected/revised master copy of the DVD to another LEX admin. I was given in return the BSC CD and was asked to give it a quick going over. I am (this week in fact) plowing through it. Finding read me's with broken links, missing images, removing unnecessary files, etc.
The idea discussed in London was that CD would be merged with the DVD. I think the idea is still on the table. I hope to be done with my part of the project before this weekend is out.
This response to your question doesn't answer "when". And though you didn't ask I suspect that is what you're wondering. At least you know there is something happening behind the scenes.
Take Care
- Jim

Hi,
I am looking to buy the dvd / download link too. Please let me know how much it is.
Thanks
Anything?
The last time anything was officially said was 2 years ago!
I want a DVD! >_<
EDIT: I just read the post where RippleJet stated that he is currently hosting the DVD on his own personal server. My bad.
Question is now... is it updated?
