Hi WC_EEND

Just a reminder that you are running out of time to finalise your entry for
the first Thematic Comp. Entries will close 12 Midnight 3/12/2009. I don't think we
have any entrants between west coast USA and the dateline, so lets say midnight
west coast USA time as the deadline.

In anticipation of judging, please ensure that your entry is contained in one clearly
marked post within your thread as we will be moving your entry to another
board for judging.

WC_EEND's Village

My village is called "Pekelharing" (Pickeled Herring in English) ("Pekelharing" is also a street in Gent) and this is what it looks like:

I'd also like to tell you that this is the first time EVER I built something (more or less) rural and that I photoshopped pictures, so go easy on it 

note to judges: I can NOT provide you with an overview picture since my game crashes every time I try to zoom in/out, I hope this will be taken into account. Crashing solved Also, half of the photos are on photobucket and the other half is on imageshack. I switched halfway because imageshack failed to upload my pictures 4 times in a row

No need as you've made some excellent pictures. Too bad about the trouble you're having aquiring an aerial view. But such is life sometimes. I like the picture called 'the police office' and find it funny that the store across the street is called 'cheap beer and wine' ...     

I don't know if there will be future competions like this one. I look forward to your entering them again if there is another one.

Nice work, WC_EEND.    I especially like the church and the under-construction barn.  The river is also nicely done.

sad(-ish) news: I have had touble in the past weeks making time for SC4 (school work), so I'm not sure if I will make the deadline in time. I'll do my best to have it finished by tomorrow night and have the screenshots uploaded to photobucket.

edit: After spending a long time thinking about the deadline I decided to resign from the competition. I will however finish my village for the fun of it and put the pictures in my topic. This was not an easy choice for me to make. After a lot of thinking I decided school should come in first place (although I somehow disagree )
