Wonderful Ghetto, Alek King of SC4!

meinhosen

Alek, that neighborhood is so awesome it ought to be illegal.  ;)  I know this is an odd comment, but if you take the trees off the streets in that large bloc of apartments, it almost looks like a neighborhood where I got ambushed in Iraq.
You're telling me I get to be home for more than 12 months?

TheTeaCat

Fantastic Ghettos everyone. Very slummy indeed - always the hardest thing to make look decent! :-\

Rayden

I like the small railyard with empty wagons parked. Very realistic indeed. ;)

This was supposed to be a mid-to-high wealth area...and this is what happened instead.

Hence why you see all those mansions and parks next to those tenaments.  This is my only large ghetto, but it does feed that commercial area across the freeway, so it's not too bad...

That is a replica of a living city Masochist  &apls ...  Architects develop a great family housing project only to find out that within a few years the scum of the nation moves in.

this is a cool thread. my favorite things to build in game are the bad areas so it's cool to see how other people build them.

NikNik

One more nasty ghetto. This is on the city tile next to the previous ghetto, at at the same orientation. On the region view it's like the ghetto carries on but it is two different tiles.

Notice the use of Awall's lots and the street is not changing to high wealth?

Even though there officially are no poor people in the Socialist State of Rodina there are areas with some resemblance to the "ghettos" of the decadent West...

Great addition Sepsis!
I love the repetition of Krasnovod and the Vodo-Varbinsk is a masterpiece. That football field, phew wow, great stuff.
