Priceless. Simply priceless.

Congratulations threestooges!

Congratulations to bat and threestooges, both worthy of recognition for their respective accomplishments.

Shadow Assassin

Very nice recognitions of both bat and Three Stooges.

Though, for some reason, I was expecting "Three Stooges" to be some sort of a landform... :P

Well, Curly was in fact a pretty large guy...

Yoman

Everyone knows the Marx brothers are better ;)

dedgren

Ah yes, the Marx Brothers...

Louis and Karl.

David

p.s.:  I'm at work and don't have my laptop up, so I can't do pics.  Who, inquiring minds want to know, was Louis Marx?  No using the Internet to find out...

...Nixon-  That would, uhhh... be wrong...

...let's see who was around, like me, in the 50s and 60s.

Louis Marx? I never heard of him. I'm going to look it up, but I'll keep it to myself!

jestarr

Hmmm...I had a Marx train when I was a kid, many, many years ago. :D

BigSlark

jestarr is on the money. The Marx Company made toys, and were best known for their trains that were cheaper than Lionel or American Flyer.

I'm an old Classic Toy Train fan and wannabe collector.

Cheers,
Kevin

Our Loozyannuh friend jestarr has it right...

Those Marx boys- wotta pair!  Throw off your chains and play with your trains!

Here's a little more about Louis Marx and his company [linkie].

Looks like some more 3RR recognition is headed this way.

Guess what I saw on the way home?

I'm a sucker for rainbows.  Those, and the smell of burning leaves in the fall, get me every time.

Later.

Well now, this is a pleasant surprise to find. I can't let its 15 minutes of fun pass without at least giving some thanks for it. You may (or may not) be interested to know I happen to have that golfing pic on the wall by my desk but interestingly have never seen that scene. I was hoping to get some more detailed info on that historic marker. If I recall, it was initially just the plaque (as a "fact checker" induction) but I have been wondering exactly where that fell on the map. I was hoping that it might've been in my quad so that I might be able to develop the homestead a bit (but there is plenty of time and many quads to go). As far as SA's landform comment (and the response), I think it goes past that. I think it may have been that Curly generated his own gravitational field (hence the many hard knocks he sustained). But I digress (so what else is new?).

Congratulations to jestarr for his memory of a man that helped establish a very enjoyable hobby. The only marxes (?) that I am familiar with are the other fools of Hollywood fame (and vaudeville/theatre as their earlier works went). I don't think either group was better than the other, as far as I am concerned, each is funny in its own style. I will leave it with this: "that I once shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas I'll never know...

But that's completely irr-elephant (irrelevant) to the situation."

Looking forward to the continued progress of the quads and to the recognition that will be coming jestarr's way. Have a good day, and take it easy.

Wow David I have not been around since......since ages I guess.
I have not gone through all the pages I missed but it must have been dozens.

Guess now I am back and I am stepping right in at the comic section LOL. Speaking of good timing.

Looking out for more laughs.

Cheers, your friend.

That rainbow looks beautiful, David! And those burning leaves in the fall get me, too. It reminds me of Christmas for some reason. I'll be looking forward to see what you've got for us next, my friend!

bat

Yes, a great looking picture of that rainbow! Also looking forward to more...
