CTD with XP SP3

Hello out there, I have a problem!

Due to quite a bunch of private problem I don't have my pc around me but have to use my mother's laptop. I used it before with XP Sp2 (home edition) and my old SC4+Rushhour installation without problems (except performance with only 512 mb RAM)

Recently I updated that laptop to SP3 and bought new DeLuxe CDs (my Rushhour CD does look a bit used). Installation was no problem, but if I try to open any city tile (empty or Maxis Maps) it makes a CTD.

No custom content installed yet, not even NAM & Co, no hardware change, only updated to SP3.

Hardware specs:

CPU Intel Celeron M 1,30 GHz
512 mb RAM
Graphic card:  Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Grahics Controller
Conexant AC-Link Audio
3 GB free space on drive C:

RAM is a little low, especially for SP3.  Also, can you check dxdiag, see if it's reporting issues.  There is a good chance the graphics card cannot support SC4.

I don't think it's the graphic card as SC4 run on this laptop with XP SP2 without problems (actually I could do som basic cities on a way older laptop with only 256 mb)

Anyway I started dxdiag. DirectDraw and Direct3D 7/8/9 all successfull.
