The other thing that threw me for a loop was that the avenue curves were moved...I thought they were missing at first since they were no longer with the ave pieces tab.

Great job on keeping everything straight David!

I've never managed to get a pic of one of these before.

I think that's pretty cool.

I hope that doesn't mean they're going to the same end as Grishnákh, heh heh. David, I'm comtinually amazed at how much you are able to accomplish and how you are able to inspire others to do so as well. Whenever the NAM is ready, however imminent that may be, it'll certainly be something (more) fun to play with in part thanks to your contributions.

As for the single post contest thing, it took some work and some research, but here's my list. You know I can't resist one of these contest things... not sure why though, I can disregard dozens of pages of cases at the drop of a hat... not sure why about that either, they can be good reading and the subject is fun. But that's another matter. Fun little thing you've put together here, I was surprised at some of the names I saw on the list, and it seems to have brought a few out of single post status too.

I think Matt might be getting the "green jacket" for this round--provided it's like The Masters, of course!

And brilliant ornithological catch there, David! I didn't even know they were in there!

You always learn something here in 3RR!

What is the difference between game roads and rural roads and RHW-2 besides the center line being dashed?

David...what can I say?  :o  "Can't wait for the NAM" No...something like "you are amazingly a modding nut."  ;) Your contributions with FAR/FARR/SLR/RR/WC/Thislistcangetridiculouslylong are quite amazing. I love to program and would love to learn more about SC4 modding. I definately have the time in my schedule this semester at the University than in previous semesters.

Best with the NAM release.

Sort of an odd day here - one of those days that you just never know what might happen.

The last couple of lines are eye-openers, aren't they?  86 MPH is 138 KPH.  105 MPH is almost 170 kilometers per hour.  Not exactly kite- flying weather.

So I'm working at home.  What else might happen today, I wonder...

I guess we'll see.

Later.

Hey David I feel like such a lurker, haven't posted here in quite a bit.

That's some odd weather you're having there.  There's odd stuff in Southwestern Ontario too, a cold front came in yesterday and hasn't moved since.  The system has been churning one snowsquall after another and just dumping it here.  But enough about the weather.

I am happy to see you've been doing some work with DTR (standard) rail.  With the way my planning styles work, STR is not an option, I need to squeeze as much capacity as possible into as little space as possible.  If you made a TTR (triple track rail), it would be more useful for me :P

As for the avatar contest, I just don't have the time or patience to sort it, so I'll leave it to someone else to figure out  $%Grinno$%.

Anyways, just thought I'd stop by and say "hello".  Oh, and try not to fly a kite today ;).

Best,
-Haljackey

    105 mph     :o   yikes

That is insane.    What is the wind chill with winds that high?

Stay inside and stay safe and warm.

---Gaston

EDITAl, here's a wind chill chart published by the US National Weather Service.

I found it here [linkie].  At the current temperature of about 35 degrees Fahrenheit/2 degrees Celcius, someone outside in a wind of that force would experience a wind chill temperature of 14 degrees (F)/-10 (C).  Brrrrr!

So, I take it that it's good 3RR weather up there.  Believe it or not, there are probably people in Minnesota and North Dakota that would give anything for the weather you're having now, since they aren't even getting to see 0° F for a few days, let alone 32° F.  The wind does make a difference, though.  That's Category 2 hurricane wind that you've got there.

Buck here.  While basicly a lurker I just wanted to chime in on your weather versus mine.  We here in the Los Angeles area are experiencing a beautiful clear day with current tempeture at about 80 F.  But to be honest, if I had my druthers (sic) I would much rather be where you are.  Now that's easy to say with me being here and not there, but, I do know there are many quality of life reasons for living there.  Beside, who knows how much you could continue to contribute to this great game if you were off to the beach fishing, swimming or surfing, or to the local mountains hiking and sking or tripping to Las Vegas for game playing, or to Palm Springs getting in some sun, if you were not locked in a house with nowhere else to go or do (how's that for a run on sentence).  Seriously, I truely appreciate what you have done for this game and hope your health and desire let's you continue to enjoy your life and the game.

Keep up the good work.

Hi,
Where should I place the rural roads plugin in my plugins folder. Could you tell me the file path exactly because whatever I do, the only thing there is a picture and no writing just the name of the file. I don't know what's wrong, I expect I have put it in the wrong place. Could you please enlighten me?

Darraghf

EDITMy friend, welcome as well to 3RR- you should put the file in the "Plugins" subfolder of your My Documents "Network Addon Mod" folder.  Let me know if you still have any issue after you've tried that. -DE

Wowzers David, that is gusty. Here in Southeast Wisconsin, the air temps tonight will be about 12 below F and tomorrow will be cold. Winchills reaching to a max of 45 below F. Bet that people. JKB
