There's no place like Gotham City.

Some have described it as New York by night, that Gotham is New York below 14th Street

Gotham City was founded in 1635 by a Swedish mercenary and was later taken over by the Kingdom of Great Britain. During the American Revolutionary War it was the site of a major battle and various occult rites were rumored to have been conducted within the city. Perhaps for these reasons Gotham is a dark and foreboding place rife with crime, grime, and corruption. Despite this, Gotham City has maintained a thriving economy and is considered a major economic center of activity.

Gotham City proper is a city of contrasts. The wealthy and the very wealthy have few barriers between them in the central area, but the vast majority are desperate, poverty-stricken, as blue collar jobs become harder and harder to get. The middle class has retreated to the suburbs and some of the very wealthy have put up walls around estates north of the city, frightened by the masses which are often violently envious of their good fortune.

But overall city statistics show a different picture. Money flows through Gotham City in ever-increasing amounts, economic development is on the rise and improvement seems to be consistent, when one looks at the numbers. There is simply a huge gap between the numbers and the reality.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi74.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fi280%2Fheyden_17%2Fbbhd3large.jpg&hash=20222b15925484c212dbe9ba3ea55d6a919c443d)

Gotham's morale decay has been ongoing since its founding. However, the advent of the Depression some thirty years ago seemed to accelerate this degeneration with economic factors as well. Crime grew exponentially with the mob element moving into town and taking root like an infestation. Even after the end of the Depression, the rot had settled in deeply enough for organizations such as the League of Shadows to ensure that Gotham's criminal descent was complete. With the arrival of Carmine Falcone onto the stage, Falcone's dominance of Gotham's underworld was assured. Even the efforts of well meaning citizens like Thomas Wayne who built Gothams Mass Rapid Transit System, did little to stop the tide of growing violence and corruption through all levels of City Hall. The deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne did serve to alleviate the violence for a time as respectable citizens were galvanized by their senseless murder into devoting money and resources to improving Gothatm's social structure and ease the need to turn to a criminal life style. However, this state of affairs lasted only for a time and until the advent of Batman's arrival in Gotham, the city was still rife with gangland influences from the streets to the highest levels of office. Gotham's present Mayor is Mayor He Who Will Not Be Named seen Below.

Gotham City occupies three large (and a handful of small) islands between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gotham River. It is in the state of New Jersey. Several smaller islands and areas on the mainland are also part of the city. It's occupied by about 10 million people. It's 0-20 degrees in the winter and about 70-80 (usually) in the summer.

Tricorner Island – Carl Grissom's Territory

Just off the southEast corner of the Lower East gotham , this risland is most notably home to the Tricorner Naval Yard, which was decommissioned by the U.S. Navy in 1975. The neighborhoods on the island are dominated by those still working in the other, much smaller naval yards and docks on the island. However, Tricorner Island has become synonymous with organized crime and police corruption. In some respects, Tricorner is "wide open". Carl Grissom controls most of the unions for the labor on this island and is set to control a great deal of power due to the industry being re-energized due to lucrative Wayne contracts. His warehouse on the Docks is located here.

"$Deal"$ Update one  "$Deal"$

Old Gotham - Maroni Territory

Old Gotham is where the city was born, today it looks just like any Gotham area except it has many older buildings that you would not find any where else. The area is controlled By Salvador Martini a local kingpin. Old Gotham is home to a large casino called the Skin Kitty which is ran by martini and several buildings from the time of Gotham’s founding. The area has tons of trees that have replaced the old buildings that have fallen down , the trees were added to give the area a nicer look to tourists visiting the amusment mile nearby.

Chinatown

Gate Street is the main street of the main portion of Chinatown. The construction of the newest, tallest building in the area, the Kyoto Towers, is proceeding. Right along the waterfront is the large building of the Gotham Port Authority like some immense temple. Then there's also, near the edge of Chinatown, the Vauxhall Concert Center, home of the Gotham Opera

Architecture

The unique architecture of Gotham City can be traced back to Judge Solomon Wayne during the pre-American Civil War era. Wayne's entrepreneurial skills made him a leading citizen in Gotham, starting a dozen businesses including the Gotham Buggy Whip Works. His campaign to reform Gotham came to a head when he met Cyrus Pinkney, a young architect looking for a commission. After the promotion of Pinkney's designs in the Property Holders Association, Wayne commissioned the first "Gotham Style" structures to be built in what is now the center of the city's financial district. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the Gothic architecture became a focal point for a thriving commercial center. Wayne and Pinkney would raise a dozen similar buildings in the years that followed, as Gotham took on a new face that would make it famous the world over.

GCPD and Corruption

In addition to rampant organized crime activity in the city, the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) was steeped in corruption up until the late 1980s. The strongest blow against police corruption came in 1986, when an increasing amount of conspiracy charges against Commissioner Gillian Loeb forced him to resign his position. The Falcone crime family, which had had a stranglehold on Gotham's underground for generations, finally crumbled by time Batman arrived in Gotham, following Carmine’s association with the League of Shadows. Following his institutionalization, the result of this vacuum was rising gang violence that threatened to severely crippled organized crime in Gotham City. Simultaneously, the ebbing presence of corrupt police officers allowed James Gordon to rise in the ranks and eradicate crime wherever it existed.

Gotham City 1989 , after years of roaming the world learning to fight and homing his skills Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham city. These days the city is crawling with crooks and corruption is everywhere. Over the roofs of gotham Gargoyles stood out but one of them was moving . Out of a theater downtown a family poured  out  onto the city Streets Mom , Dad , and little Jimmy as the mother stopped the Father kept walking. "for gods sake Harold can we get a taxi" the mother yelled the Father or Harold just kept walking soon the were down Park row a deserted side street where punks and muggers hung out . as the past a stack of garbage cans they heard a voice call out "Hey, mister. Gimme a dollar?" Harold looks down to see a homeless person with and outstretched hand  . Harold continues to walk while jimmy runs to keep up soon the father is face to face with a mugger. The mugger takes no time and knocks out the dad  Steals his wallet then he turns to lady "Do the kid a favor, lady. Don't scream." The poor woman is utterly horrified. TEARS stream down her face. But she keeps her wits about her, stifles the urge to  shriek, she then checks to see if her husband is alive .The  mugger  turns  , chuckles, and  races off in the opposite direction. meanwhile up on the roofs a dark figure moves silently.

Six stories up. The mugger sits down  on the tar-and-gravel roof, sizing up his take he barley notices the dark bat like apperation gliding off a roof behind him.A chill wind whips across the roof as the mugger is picked up by a huge unknown identity.Scared he panics "what do you want he gasps" the punk tries to get loose now yelling "Don't kill me... don't kill me..." as the figure holds him over the roof then he speaks I won't kill you. I want you to do  me a favor. the punk looked at him with fear in his eyes, "what is it" he asked , the figure pulled him closer to him "i want you to tell your friends about me all youir friends " the punk then looked at this figure " what are you" he yelled "IM BATMAN" the figure said as he threw the punk onto the roof then he jumped off and disappeared .

Nice.

I like the nice hue that your pics have too. I don't know what you did to them though? Perhaps it's just that you shrunk the screen shots. I often find that SC4 shots look better when shrunk myself.

Jack Napier sat in his favorite chair watching the T.V . On the screen it showed a room where an oversized campaign poster fills one wall: "A NEW GOTHAM. HARVEY DENT FOR DISTRICT ATTORNEY".it said then standing at a podium was the man himself Harvey Dent."it is no longer enough to go after the small-time punks and petty criminals who infest the streets of Gotham City.Crime and corruption must be attacked at the root!" Harvey said as the crowd in front of him sat quietly " we must work together so that we can make Gotham safe for decent people to live" he continued . Jack turned the television off and headed for Carl Grissioms Building. Jack was a mobster , working for Grissiom a long time Mob leader also on the side Jack was having an affair with grisoms wife .Meanwhile at the Harvey Dent campaign dinner sat commissioner Gordon. next to Gordon was an empty seat with a sigh on it Reserved for Bruce Wayne it said.

Jack watched as the elevator doors opened and a spectacular penthouse suite came into view is just one of the power  perks available to CARL GRISSOM, kingpin of Gotham City. Carl grisiom greeted him"hello jack how are you " Jack looked at his boss " I'm good sir " Jacked walked over and began to shuffle a set of cards he owned as grissiom sat down. "the Police are moving in on axis jack and i want you to go and rob the Place before they do" he said Jack pulled out a joker card with a bullet hole and nodded " OK "he said as he set the cards on grisoms desk and began to walk away . "whoa jack"grissiom said "don't forget your lucky deck" as he tossed jack his cards "thanks" jack mumbled as he walked into the elevators closing doors. Grissim picked up the Phone "get me lieutenant Ekheart he said"

You have really created a specific atmosphere in these shots.
The island layout and the shadows really contribute to that.
It's really cool, and leaves us wanting more.....soon ;)

You've created quite an atmosphere for Gotham.  I haven't seen many cities that qualify as having a "dark" atmosphere, but your recreation of Gotham is just outstanding at doing just that.  I will keep a close eye on this

One quick thing- I noticed in a few of your screenshots that you still have the U-Drive It icons turned on... you might consider turning them off to enhance the screenshots.  Besides that, great job!

Lady Gotham island National Park

Lady Gotham island national park is one of the many parks in gotham . This park is built around a huge stone statue built in the depression .  The statue symbolizes justice and how inportant it is. The Batman is some times seen standing on it over looking the city he protects ,the island also has one shopping mall for tourists.

Jack Napier and his Men stood in axis chemicals main office, Jack watched as his men broke into the safe and searched the office. As jack flipped threw his deck of cards the safe door opened, it was empty. "Well boys" jack said "we've been ratted out so watch for the cops" one by one jacks men began walking out of the office as lieutenant eckheart and several police officer entered." freeze the officers yelled  As jacks men began to spread out among the factory.

Meanwhile up at the Wayne mansion a spectacular party was in full swing hosted by Millionaire Bruce Wayne himself. Bruce stood beside a craps table watching commissioner Gordon as a uniformed officer came up to him "um sir eckheart has Napier and his boys at axis and he needs assistance  Gordon nodded and walked to get his coat while Bruce Wayne smiled he had heard every word .  Bruce walked up to his butler Alfred and told him to keep the party going. Then he walked over to a deserted room and pushed a button a huge statue moved and a secret entrance was reveled the last thing Bruce saw before he walked down the stairs was Gordon leaving.

Jack Napier stood on a catwalk over looking the mayhem before him "ha ha "he laughed As he saw commissioner Gordon walk in he didn't even notice the Giant bat like object swooping down behind him .as Gordon pointed at the batman jack turned around and drew his gun as he aimed at the bat like figure he fired, but he was to late the batman deflected the bullet and it bounced back on Napier hitting him in the face. Jack grabbed his face and began to fall backwards he just barely grabbed the guard rail, and the batman reached down to grab him but he was to late Jack let go and fell into a huge chemical vat.Batman saw the police advancing on him so he fled using a gas capsule from his belt as he left the factory he never noticed the white hand reaching out of the river beside the factories waste disposal pipe

Great update! Bently looks fantastic, I love the farms. You may want to look into some custom content for the seaports, though, the Maxis ones are somewhat plain. Just a suggestion, though! I'll be looking forward to the next update!

Derek, I usually always spot one thing in an MD update that stands out for me.  The Statue of Liberty at the end of that formal park, especially with the enhanced shadows, is a stunner!.  I've got a few other observations- I'll get back to you with those.

Okay!,

Finally got around to checking this one out. I must say, I gotta add it to my "list of prominent MD's" here at SC4D. I won't get into too much details about that list, but dangit, you're on it!

The writing is very straightforward and serves the story very well. There wasn't one moment of confusion while I read it. Although the story has been told before, there is an icy cold feel to it. Awesome!

Also, I think it was menitoned already, but the atmosphere of the images is awesome. SMP's mod really suits gotham city, I gotta say.

Keep it up, I'm ready for "The Joker!"

  "$Deal"$ Update 4   "$Deal"$

Gotham's Industries

Manufacturing remains the single largest area of the non-service economy in Gotham City, although the decommissioning of the Tricorner Naval Yards in 1975 was a severe blow. U.S. Steel, Gotham Steel, Wayne Steel and the Stockton Metalworks continue relatively strongly, their proximity to other Eastern Seaboard cities helping them weather the economic changes that ruined the Pennsylvania steel mills.

Most of the aerospace work takes place just outside the city limits, to the north in Sommerset. LexCorp Aviation continues to be a leader, along with Ferris and Wayne Aerospace. Oceanic shipping provides most of the shipping traffic of Gotham City, although the Gotham Railworks continues to move a great deal of cargo through the switching lines. The usual smattering of air cargo companies also exist.

The leader in high technology firms in Gotham City is WayneTech, with the national high technology firms S.T.A.R.Labs and LexCorp coming a close second. Biotechnology and drug research is conducted at Drake Medical and Cornelius-Krieg as well.

Archie Goldwinn International Airport

In 1978 Archie goldwinn came to Gotham city , his dream was to build a large scale airport costing over $10 000 000 . His design consisted of one large terminal with 2 wings , and construction began in 1979 years later construction was halted as Archie passed away . Harold goldwinn , Archies son seemed content with finishing his father's legacy thus the airport was named after Archie Goldwinn Today the airport is owned by Wayne areospace.

The largest and most official harbour of gotham is located in east gotham and services the entire city and over 34 others , over 60 million tons of cargo goes threw it a  day . This area of town is called Toxic acres due to the large amount of industry there .

The plastic surgeon stood over his patient overlooking the the bandages that covered  the patients face "well now Mr napier lets see how we did " he said as he began to unwrap the bandages. "oh my " he gasped at the face when it was revealed . Jack held out his hand "mirror " he said the doctor grabbed a mirrior off his table and handed it to jack , as he looked into the mirror jack began to laugh " HA HA HA " then he smashed the mirror "thats the best you can do" he said to the doctor as he graped his collar . The doctor showed jack the tools he had and jack began to laugh more he then got out of the chair and left .

Carl grissiom sat in his desk with the paper , and there on the front page in big bold letters it said JACK NAPIER MURDERED BY THE BATMAN   grissiom laughed "yes that moron is dead "  and at that moment the door opened and in came a dark figure . Grissiom got up and looked "Marty is that you" he said  the figure shook his head and as he walked a little closer he said no grissiom its me your old buddy ,  grissiom looked a jack with hate in his eyes "your supposed to be dead " jack reached in his pocket "jack is dead my friend" he said pulling out a revolver then he took 11 shots  and after that he stepped into the light showing grissiom his face " but you can call me joker"  he finished then he sat down at the desk and grabed the paper  . . . .

well now this is an honour never did i expect to have these great things said about gotham , I can officailly say that Gotham city Part 2 "two faces or evil " will be launched on  may 1st 2007  and i hope you will enjoy it .

Warning the 2 faces of fear may contain text and visual photos for ages 13 - 60 if you have a problem with any photo our text you may pm me and i will change it ASAP .

That last part was just in case  and here is a preview of the story

We last left of with joker arrested and harvey dent prepareing to convict him in court , but when joker smuggles in acid to the courtroom and attacks dent , mayham erupts and harvey is transformed into the murderious 2 face and joker escapes . Robin will make his appearance here and the new tale of the dynamic dou starts . Now batman and robin must join forces and take on both the joker and 2 face , you might as well call it a double feature lol ha ha ha flips a coin .

Some questions about 2 faces of  fear from our fans

Q: what happens to the hate between joker and 2 face after joke messes up his carrier .

A; the joker and 2 face unite due to there common enemy and because batman didnt help dent when joker escaped the courtroom

Q: how many parts are there to the city journal  and what inspired you .

A: im trying to write at leats 4 parts with 4 different batman villians , my inspiraration came from all the batman movies and  pictures of NYC

I HOPE THAT KEEPS YOU WAITING

By the way, the map was hand-terraformed so I don't know how to give it to you. Sorry about that.

I'm eagerly anticipating Two-Face. Nah, maybe not. But now that I think of it, it's a good idea. Or is it? I'm not quite sure. Should we let the coin decide? Yes. No.

"$Deal"$Update 5 "$Deal"$

Suburbia in the GGA (Greater Gotham Area)

With a population of 10,000,000 people and climbing Gotham's suburbs are huge and home to most of Gothams middle class families there are at least 10 huge areas of suburbs that span nearly 3-4 miles each and they are Upper West Side or UWS, Midtown or MT for short, Chelsea, Coventry, Upper East Side or UPE, Robbinsville, The Hill, Newtown or NT for short and finally Otisburg. The Hill is the most Wealthy and most secluded it's located in Gotham heights and is also the location of Wayne Manor.

Downtown : The point

There is hardly anything special in this section of downtown except the many large businesses there, this section is called the Point because well it's on the point of downtown. Gotham Square is located here and that's where Gothamites gather for the lighting of the Christmas tree and the Mayor's speech's, Rowan Park is also there.

Media and The Gotham Globe

Gotham City has the usual affiliate television stations and the usual collection of radio stations. There are a couple of notes, though. The tiny AM radio station WGNS, a talk and news radio station that is partnered with the Gotham Examiner has started to stand out. Although it's a little less effective than its print partner, it does have the ability to get information out to the public quickly. About twenty or thirty ISPs serve Gotham, most focusing their attention on the suburbs.

There are four major newspapers in Gotham City, three of which have the lion's share of the readership.

-The Gotham Globe
- The Gotham Gazette
- The Gotham Times
- The Gotham Daily

The Gotham Globe is, however, an energetic and deeply investigative newspaper with good quality stories. Unfortunately this means that its journalists are often persona non grata in many places .This paper is where Alexander Knox works and covers most of the BATMAN stories.

The Gotham Gazette is a typical corporate-sponsored newspaper, heavy on ads, light on real news. Its journalists are not encouraged to do deeply investigative reporting. One of its major contributors is Lex Luthor.

The Gotham Times -Tribune is slightly more overt about its dedication to the status quo, ever since the hyper conservative Tribune suddenly purchased the Times about five years ago. Nobody is quite sure where the Trib got the money to do this.

The Gotham Daily is a tattling, garish tabloid whose only dedication to substance is trying to get as many gruesome or titillating stories on its pages at once.

Bruce Wayne stood in the Grand hall at Wayne manor  in his finest suit , this was his annual charity ball for the homeless and nearly all of Gothams finest were there including Commissioner Gordon .Shortly after the Axis incident Bruce told Gordon who he was and surprisingly Gordon understood . Bruce associated with his regular crowd then walked over to Gordon  " hey Bruce great party Gordon said " as Bruce nodded "good to see you to James"  Bruce stood there as Alfred walked in and took Bruce aside " Master Wayne it seems there is a crime in progress at the docks " Bruce nodded "tell Gordon as soon as possible I am going now and keep our guests entertained tell them that joke you know" Alfred nodded as Bruce locked the study door and headed down the secret passage to the bat cave " so much for a night off he said as he began to get the batsuit on , minutes later batman was driving into Gotham and heading for the docks .

It was nearly midnight and Carmine falconi stood on the docks over looking his thugs "hurry up " he said "joker wants this stuff by 2 am " the thugs began working faster unloading jokers new poison  as a dark bat like figure loomed overhead . Bobby the goon a long time thug with Falconi ran to get the last canister in a box about 60 feet away from the truck when a large black figure grabbed him " oh Crap" the thugs yelled "its the bat " as one by one they ran to get away but batman was to fast he grabbed them all and tied them to one of the docks buoys the he went for falconi who was hiding in a near by car. Batman jumped on the roof and punched in the sunroof "what are you falconi yelled as batman pulled him from the car "IM BATMAN " batman said and I have a job for you falconi laughed "I am not doing it, not for you " batman smiled do it and ill let you free " falconi thought for a moment then nodded "ok ill do it he said " batman pulled out a note "give this to joker " he said then he vanished. Joker sat at his desk when falconi ran in "hey boss i got something for you "he yelled coming in the door joker stood up "what is it " he said falconi handed him the note  and joker read it . Then with an angry look on his face he shot falconi "so the bat wants to play eh well then we shall play".

Thank you and we hope to see you back soon Next update is the part I finale

I was asking the same question myself, "All evil?" Well maybe it's because your using the campy Tommy Lee Jones version.  :P

The best Two-Face adaptations weren't from the 1990's Burton/Schumaker films but the Animated series and Batman: The Long Halloween/Dark Victory (the comics).

Still...I'm actually anticipating how you'll pull this off!  :)

Hatchet , New jersey : The woodland town

Hatchet , New Jersey is a small community just outside the Gotham city limits years ago gold was found here and the city was turned from a small hick city to a prospecting town . Today it still prospers but is alot smaller Bruce Wayne visits here almost all the time because this was his mother's home town.

Downtown: Continued

This section of downtown is famous for the start of Grand Avenue and the many Large Scale offices its here that many Gothamites hang out and relax since it is the lesser crime infested area ,Wayne Botanical garden is located near here and same with Wayne Tower. It was once rumoured that this area is also the location of the home of Batman's ally, Mr. Lucius Foxx.

Joker Stood on the Catwalk over looking axis while his men began to prepare for jokers master plan to ruin Gotham all over men were running around some filling giant balloons with laughing gas others where out in Gotham robbing cash to bribe the citizens to come to the party. "yes the joker proclaimed , Work your butts off and get this ready for tonight" men looked at joker "yes oh funny one " joker then walked over to an area set up like a news room where he would film is speech to the whole city meanwhile miles away in Wayne manor Bruce Wayne was just getting up out of bed . Bruce sat up in his bed when Alfred walked in "mourning master Bruce" he said handing him a paper "it seems you made the front page again " he chuckled as Bruce read the article . "Thanks Alfred what are my plans for today "Alfred looked at his boss "well the Gotham city Baseball championships are tonight any idea who you're taking " Alfred said Bruce stood in amazement "yeah I got just the girl"

Tia Sari sat by her door waiting for Bruce Wayne its not every day that you get to go out with Gothams hottest bachelor Bruce showed up about 5 minutes late and hugged Tia "ready to go he said "grabbing her hand " "oh you bet I am she replied" they got into Bruce's limo and sat down "To Gotham stadium Alfred" Bruce told the driver "yes sir Alfred replied " after a short drive they arrived outside the stadium , as Bruce and Tia walked in cameras snapped photo's "dangit Bruce said "why do I have to be so popular " Tia looked at him "its because your so hot " Bruce smiled " not as hot as you" they then walked into the stands and took there seats .Joker stood in the room set up like a news set and prepared to go on live at the baseball game; he figured that's where most of the people are today. Moments pasted and then he was ready he turned on the cameras and the screen on the scoreboard at the game changed, the joker was on TV." hello citizens of Gotham tonight you are invited to a party along grand avenue, and don't worry this is worth your time " Bruce laughed " its going to be a complete waste of time if you ask me " but the joker continued " tonight at midnight I will be dropping $20 million dollars on the crowd that shows up and at the end a showdown between me and batman , mono et mono "Bruce sighed is was going to be a long night.

After the game Bruce drove Tia home and asked her not to attend that little party she argued and agreed, she actually lied to Bruce and was really going to go. Bruce ran down to the bat cave and prepared the Bat plane he was going to need it tonight. At about 8 pm people began to line up alone grand avenue and soon fights broke out , and people began to yell it wasn't till a float carrying the joker and goons handing out money came by did they calm down. Joker stood on the float which was being followed by very large balloons and at that moment he grabbed a microphone "well Gotham who do you trust " he said and a large group of Gothamites  replies "joker!" joker smiled "that's right, im here handing out free money , and where is the batman , he's at home washing his tights. And it was at that moment batman flew over head in the bat plane.

Joker smiled "okay men time to make it happen, release the gas" .Tia watched as a green gas flowed out of the balloons, she covered her mouth and ran away. All over people were dieing from a safe distance Tia watched overhead as the bat plane swooped down and destroyed the balloons. Joker cursed at his goons" why didn't you guys tell me he had one of those things", bobby the lead goon shook his head and joker pulled out a gun and shot him. Batman brought the plane around and began to head towards joker as he got close joker pulled out a rocket launcher and shot the plane down as it crashed at the base of a old run down cathedral joker spotted Tia "a hostage" he said to himself as he grabbed her and headed  up the cathedrals main tower .

Batman pulled himself out of the wreckage of the bat plane "holy crap" he said "what a head rush" then he looked up the tower joker had Tia and batman had to save her he started to run up the tower when he heard sirens "oh great police" batman began to climb the stairs when he heard a loud crashing noise Joker had melted a bell of its moorings and it was falling down the tower. At the top joker was dancing with Tia "you know what lady if you left I would just kill myself" joker said pulling out a gun but as he pulled the trigger a little flag popped out, bang it said and Tia laughed but at that moment batman came round the corner and grabbed joker "hey there old friend he said punching joker in the face". Joker fell back and pulled out a gun this time it was a real one "tell me mister batman have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight" batman stood there for a second then he disarmed joker "you bastard you killed my parents all those years ago" joker looked at him "ahh you are that kid well would you look at that I made you, you made me I guess we are even" Batman looked at joker "no we are not even" then batman punched joker till he fell over the edge and hung on the guard rail "go ahead batman kill me now and ill see you in hell " batman reached his hand down "id rather see you in jail"

Joker was arrested by police and Tia was safely returned to her home the batman however disappeared. About five nights after the tower incident a giant light in the shape of a bat appeared in the sky and batman went to see it. Gordon stood by the signal when batman tapped it "nice" he said Gordon smiled "I knew it would get your attention" batman laughed "yes it did" Gordon took a sip of his coffee "from now on" he said "if the city needs you ill send up this" batman nodded "joker's trial is set for next month DA Harvey dent is going to prosecute he's on our side" "ill be there" batman said  Gordon looked at batman "you know I never did get the chance to thank you" batman looked at Gordon " and you'll never have to" he said as he jumped of the building a moment later the Batmobile speed away " I got to get me one of those" Gordon said as he turned off the signal and went home .

I think we've got a Best-Seller here!

Part II will definitely be worth a look, if Part I is any hint.

Way to go, Derek!

Isn't this piratism? Using trademarked charcters and pictures without DC Comics' permission.  :-\

Hmm let me ask you this have i ever said i created these characters ? no i didnt so in that case as long as i say that Bob kane created batman and give credit to DC comics at the end of this cj it is not piratism.

You mean plagiarism, and no, I don't think it is (but I'm not the law expert here). The reason I don't think it is, is because it is used for non-profit, personal reasons. (I have had a thorough education in plagiarism and copyright laws though, being a member of the academic world, however, this is out of my league. I do think the same principles apply though).

Maybe David (dedgren) can be of some assistance?

THE SIMCITY UNION AND SC4DEVOTION PRESENT'S

GOTHAM CITY: PART II
"TWO FACE'S OF EVIL"

"$Deal"$ Launch post "$Deal"$

Gothams Transportation network

Gotham is a large city and has one of the world's most largest networks that spans the whole city from the interstates to the airports, the harbors to the rails its all over. Gotham has many main highways some which head to New York, Atlantic City, Philadelphia and Hatchet New jersey. Below is a map of Gotham's transportation network.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi74.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fi280%2Fheyden_17%2FGothamcity-5.jpg&hash=44aa5191a3c908933c3cdd0c25ef50493f1771ca)

As you can see there are many routes all over each route as a destination some even going to different States and cities. Each Highway has its own marker telling which highway it is so that citizens can find there way easily, however the highway to Atlantic City eventually turns into a ferry route down the coast of New Jersey. Here is also an updated region shot as you can see its not fully covered i still have the farms in bristol and hartmann to finish and the main Downtown CBD.

Gotham Heights suburbs

This is the wealthiest area of Gotham it's the location of Wayne manor and a couple thousand of Gothams richest people including Archie Goldwin JR, Rowland Daggit and James Earle the Former CEO of Wayne enterprise. Gotham's underground section of its highway system is also located here.

The sun rose over Gotham city as Bruce Wayne woke from his sleep; he then walked over to his dresser and poured himself an ice cold glass of water. Alfred walked in and sat some clothes on Bruce's bed while Bruce watched "mourning master Bruce" he said, Bruce nodded "good mourning Alfred"  Bruce said as he sat down and began to get dressed "It seems batman made the paper last night, not as a vigilante but as a hero" Alfred said putting a paper on the desk, Bruce walked over and picked it up on the front page in bold text it read "BATMAN SAVE'S GOTHAM FROM THE JOKER'S EVIL PLOT" Bruce laughed "well looks like I got the last laugh" Alfred nodded "better hurry Master Bruce your meetings in 40 minutes at Wayne tower" Bruce agreed and Alfred left Bruce to finish getting dressed.

Traffic in downtown Gotham was terrible and the Wayne limo Was stuck right in the middle of it Meanwhile at the GCPD headquarters Commissioner Gordon Stood with Harvey dent "So Gordon will meet with batman tonight then "Dent asked Gordon nodded "yes Mr. Dent be here around 11.30 and ill send the signal" Dent nodded "great I guess we are done here Its finally time we put this Idiot clown behind bars" Gordon walked over and opened his office door "yes I agree" he told Dent The two walked down into a large Atrium where hundreds of people where standing "busy out here today" Dent said aloud.

Bruce Wayne stood in the Wayne Enterprise boardroom looking out the window While a meeting was going on behind him "Mr. Wayne our stocks are up 78% and we are buying out Nigmatech 45 to 10" Wayne smiled "well seems you guys have everything under control im just going to go now" Wayne left the boardroom and headed to his office it was 11:23 and he needed to go, he pulled his chair onto a circle near his desk and looked up "lock doors" he said aloud and his office doors locked  a moment later the circle vanished and Wayne fell into a small pod that sped towards Wayne manor . The pod came to a stop inside the bat cave beneath Wayne manor and Bruce steeped out "its time "he said and a moment later Batman was standing where Bruce was moments ago.

I hear, likes much your review in your newspaper, simply it beams for writer, excellent work there. That map sees something empty I recommend to you that you put but effort in your newspaper, and will leave to you better very many but in himself I like your plans and as the map is seen. I will continue waiting for your updates, cuídate

I can see why it can't translate that well. :P Google mangles everything. (does the last word mean friend or something similar, Hableurg?)

Anyways, Derek. Good story, good cj, but I want to see closeups. ;)

That's a real shame you're thinking about closing this MD.  Shame, too, about the criticisms.  However, I wouldn't let that get you down- as long as you like your work there's nothing to worry about.

Derek has requested that we consider this MD closed, and we have thus moved it here.  Derek- please do not update it further now that this has been done.  Members may still comment, but please do so in light of the author's decision to move on.

Posts and comments that are at odds with that will be removed and the thread will be locked.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
