Lovely maps, and I love the detail in the maps you have created, is the New York City map completed, I would love to have that map in my collection. :D

I guess you worry a little about my brain  :D ...then please have a look at this mornin' experience :

Whitewater Bay, Everglades - Florida (1/3 arc resolution) :




About color editing in SC4 Terraformer or Mapper, please have a look at the readme file which explains how to modify the default settings. It's not that hard, just have to know that colors must be in HTML code.

Indeed, I think that's sometimes half the fun! It's a very unique way to explore new places, or even become more familiar with places you thought you knew by heart.
