Show Us Your...Tiny Islands

It's easy to do big islands in SC4 (at least that's what I think).

Little islands, though, are a different story.  I think they're one of the hardest things to do right.  Mine tend to all look pretty much alike...I'd very much like to see some of yours.

I went on a cruise in December and came home inspired by the islands. Some of mine are large, some small. Here are some views. I even play Jimmy Buffett and steel drum while working.

Shoreman:  I was down in the Keys over Christmas this year (visiting my uncle.)  Those shots look like they came straight from Key West.  Great work.

I don't mean to hog this thread, but it's so much fun. This region I am playing at the moment was inspired by a December cruise to the Caribbean. The best part of this theme is being able to use many tilesets. For instance, St Marteen/St Martin is dutch on one side and french on the other. I just couldn't resist modeling all this in SC4, within the constraints of the game of course. This island is inspired by Merritt Island in Florida, home to the space shuttle, which I got to see launched from 45 miles at sea (what a sight at night).  Everything is compressed of course, but it captures the feeling.

I agree with David, but I'm quite intrigued by the name... What was the "Holy Assumption?" What did they assume?!

Just kidding... I know that the Assumption refers to Mary's journey to heaven after her death... I just had to be irritating.
