Welcome back, NCD!

Yes I'm reasonably sure that is the incompatibility error - at least, it's the one I get.

EDIT:  Hey, n_d- Merry Christmas and welcome to the Double-0 Club! -DE
My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

Well here is my report and it seems to be a good report. Some "bugs" that I have noticed is that the game shows the rail in use, but no sight of trains using the rails. Country roads work like a charm Other wise, it is awesome to use and to do a layout. One piece I would request; A spliter where two STR meets to form a regular maxis double track rail. Progress report pictures:

Now that I'm done with testing I thought I'd share some pics of what I've done with the STR.

You have a while longer to submit your guesses.  We'll probably roll 200K on the old page view odometer around midnight tonight.

Later.

Hehe, it's kinda funny that this single track widens to a double track for a tunnel - you'd think it would be the other way round, due to the excessive cost of tunnels. ;)

Didn't those make the cut? I know I made some,...hmmm,....possibly Phase 2 stuff. Don't worry bakerton, we're  on it!

David: those are right perty pine trees, but I don't have access to Peg's beta stuff. On another note, those bushes and stuff, what terrain mod is that in? Does my SC4 graphics setting have to be set on high?

       Three things I noticed today

First , my guess was probably to low. Second, since I have never played on Christmas , I never realized how difficult it was to test something you can't see...

And finally , Pegs new pines look awesome!

Aw man, if my city wasn't that low, I would've seen the snow %wrd.

Ahh David those STR pics reminded me so much of my first HO scale trains... It really foes look like a layout built right out-of-the-box.

Oh, and my guess is 221600 .

Merry Christmas David. I just got back from my grandparent's house and the big family Christmas. Still seems I have one more present though. The STR pics took me back to childhood as well. My dad actually put an O-Scale 4x8 setup together for me, came upstairs to it on Christmas morning. Thanks. I hope you'll be able to pass your collection along some day. I still have mine around, though not currently assembled... maybe after law school when I get the room. At any rate, I hope Christmas was good for you and your family, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

First of all David,
Thanks for your kind wishes in AVR, mucho appreciado!
and also for the FAR/FARR files!
Barely had a minute to look at the menus and plopped a few test pieces, I have to say that I'm a sorry excuse for a beta tester... can't wait to actually try them for real, but as we are actually receiving the family this year, we are up to our ears in cooking, decorating, planning, cleaning and a lot of other things ending in "ing".
But I must say that all the the pics I've seen so far are so promising! (aaaauuughh! another "ing") that I'm drooling in anticipation!

Warmest regards to you and all the family for the holiday period, may the coming year be good to you.

-John

P.S.
Happy holidays to all 3RR regulars too!

Back last summer on July 6th 3RR at SC4D passed 100,000 page views [linkie].  That took us just over 18 months.  Tonight, with a little more than an hour to go until midnight, we've got about 80 views to go before we hit 200,000.  That's our second 100K in just under six months.  Whew!

The updated list.

Why no, David, nothing more than some simple math.  ;) Based on average post counts per hour, according to my calculations we should hit that point around midnight New Year's Eve. It is a little high though. Hmm... maybe I messed up.

Pre-Congrats on 200,000! Only about 70 left now.

Uh! There rolled the odometer. Didn't catch it right at 200,000 though.
