Good work Dedgren PS:How does one do line breaks anyway? I thought it was simple as double spacing lines, but apparently it seems more involved then that now.[/data][/row]

[/data][data]I'd like to say thanks very much, not just to the friend who stopped by at about 8:25 p.m. AST (GMT-9) last night...

...but to everyone here at ST who has been so great over the past 16+ months.  We'll have a suitable celebration posted, including some ST-exclusive content and responses to some of the recent questions in comments and PMs, shortly.

Later.

[/data][data]No celebration post yet.  I'm focusing on gettting the collaboration quads into the hands of the folks who are going to be developing 3RR, and so I'm a little back of where I'd planned to be at this point.  Each quad gets a topo map and a fairly detailed backstory, and I've got almost 20 of them to do.

Here's Dustin's (thundercrack83) topo map for his quad.

You can see a larger version here [linkie] that will open in a new window.  There's more too over at 3RR [linkie].

Later.

[/data][data]The map is awesome, I look forward to seeing the completed product. I like how realistic the road planning seems with multiplexes where two routes share one road, etc.

I don't apply pp.22-24 of this instruction.

region is displayed and colored as it was seen in SC4Mapper, and when I save city, i get error message 'error saving file'. after exiting it, on cities place - completly flat terrain,

help me!

PS sorry for my English

[/data][data]That's a clever map - sandwiched between US and Canada. And I just spent some time looking at your SC4 devotion site - wow, your patience with and dedication to mapping is unbelievable. The results - spectacular!![/data][/row]

[/data][data]And here's the latest map of 3RR's highway system, a Simtropolis exclusive.

As you know, 3RR is a 16x16 quad (large city square) region.  Here's a 2,560x2,560 pixel view (just under one meg) that will open in a new window [linkie].

There's way more, if you're interested, over at 3RR [linkie], where we just hit our 99th page.

[/data][data]thats a sick highway system u got dave, do tell all your secrets. whats the difference between the blue and the red lines? always nice to see intricate detailed maps of other transport maps. gives great idea's as to what can be done in this game, and i'm always shocked![/data][/row]

[/data][data]The large map is just unbelievable - all that detail! I think your choice of road shields is excellent - simple, yet distinct.

How did you decide on the numbering system?

[/data][data]Just a quick pic of the form of road map we'll be putting in the 3RR Atlas.

There'll be 64 of these, as there are 64 townships.  Each township is four quads, and a quad, you might recall, is a large SC4 City.  So, Hay Flat Township, which doesn't have much in it but wheat, milo and sugar beet fields, is five miles/eight kilometers on a side.

I note that, in order to make these maps, I've created a lot of 400x400 pixel highway shields.

There's an obvious mistake on the Minnesota sign.  Anyone else spots it, let me know.

I've made them available here [linkie].  Feel free to copy and use them as you would like.

We hope to be seeing you over at 3RR [linkie] soon.

Later.

[/data][data]...and I thought sure someone would grab that 1,800th post...

The 3RR Road Atlas pages are starting to go up.

You'll be able to see all 64 of the township maps shortly here [linkie].  I plan to post a few each day for a while until they're all done.
