This is hard to decide. Oh wait, someone already said that 

I'll tie it back up. Both are beautiful and also both would be better if they didn't have fall and summer trees mixed

Hi noah,
I have to make a small note about the mix of fall and summer trees;
as you may know there are trees that lose their leaves in the winter and in fall are yellow / red (decidious trees), but there's others that are always green (evergreen trees).
In the case of the Mediterranean and in my pictures: there's evergreen trees ( parasol pines, oaks ( some oaks are evergreen trees like "Quercus ilex"), "pinus halapensis", "quercus coccifera", "pinus pinaster", palms,... and there is decidious trees mostly located near the river like ashes and poplars. (ashes are not very common in the mediterranean but is what we have at the moment). Decidious trees usually grows near rivers where there is more humidity.
You can see in the uper right corner some vines wich are decidious also.
So the picture is taked in autumn

I try to be consistent and prudent with the types of species of trees that I put in my region (of course depending on the custom content available)
