I've noticed that Imageshack have been having some server issues and some images have disappeared. I've recovered some but I'll need to re-upload a few others and replace the links. I'll do that tomorrow :)

I'll also post the second batch of images this weekend or on Monday.

Thanks for all your comments, it's really appreciated :D

Great work with the logistics and train maintenance  &apls  It never even occurred to me that a train wash would exist :D  Not sure why as I used to drive buses through a bus wash....  Nice use of Helsinki Central as well

@kelis - Thank you! The only thing I'd change in regard to the transport is the maxis highway, I'll maybe look at replacing that in the coming months. I need to spend some time practising with RHW, which I haven't done so far, and try my hand at compact junctions and slip roads

@Vizoria - I'm really pleased you think so, I did I think take some creative licence but I tried to keep it realistic at the same time.

@vortext  - Yeah I did worry slightly abou having fence overkill but in the RL almost every site is fenced and I thought it wise to replicate that.

@noahclem - The train wash was so awkward as nothing exists within SC4 custom content. I have to put it together with some random props but I think the result is decent. I may revise the tracks there though and have tracks on both sides......that's for another day though :D

All of the images from the previous update should now be fixed, and showing, following Imageshack's server issues :)

I'll go through the MD and fix any other broken links.

The blue-roofed warehouse?

It's by Moonlight and can be found on this site - http://blog.livedoor.jp/moonlinght/archives/cat_59226.html - you'll need to scroll down through the images to find it.

Beautiful scenes... your images always have a crispness as well as realism, I don't know how you do it
Pay heed to the tales of old wives. It may well be that they alone keep in memory what it was once needful for the wise to know.

The linen trade played a pivotal role in the social and economic development of Passau. The manufacture of linen was the catalyst that allowed it to grow from a town into the region's pre-eminent city. It grew most rapidly during the late 1700's and early 1800's – by the end of the 19th century Passau was one of the largest linen producers in the world.

One of the largest producers of linen in Passau was Beal's. Founded in 1728 by Daniel Beal it grew to become one of the most important and largest linen manufacturers in the world. Located on the western bank of the Carrick River on what was originally farmland it grew over the years and at its peak was the largest mill in Perseus.

Despite the development of the city around the site production at Beal's continued unabated until the general decline of the Persusian linen industry in the 1950's. The majority of the mill buildings were demolished and the land redeveloped for light industrial use. Not all of the original mill buildings were demolished however and in 1990 after many years of dereliction the last remaining buildings were given protected status and restoration commenced, conservationists were also able to save the last remaining chimney.

The conservation project included the restoration of the buildings and their conversion into a range of uses including a linen heritage centre, offices, cultural space and a hotel. The area also benefitted from the construction of new riverside walls and walkways as part of the city's river enhancement and flood protection programme. The new complex opened in 1997 and was subsequently updated again in 2010. The complex is managed by the Beal's Mill Preservation Trust and is one of a handful of restored mills across the city.

@reddonquixote - That's very kind, thank you! I try to make elements look realistic but I do carry some artistic licence as well  ::)

It's the modified set but I'm also using a texture replacement that Vortext created to help the embankment sandstone blend better with paeng's sandstone

You have made an exceptional work of reproduction with manufacture of linen and, as always, a very realistic work on the industrial area. A real pleasure to watch.

It not often I'm seeing a CJ and rush to download a building I've seen, but the mill here is totally reminiscent of some of the wharfside buildings where I grew up.

I've not commented of late, but I always enjoy seeing your updates.

A very impressive update! You've done a thoughtful job! A great industrial monument!

Very interesting piece of history :) Good, that you think about the old industry in your MD. And even better, that you found a "new place" for them in the city ;)
Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, this is my busiest time of year with work, travel and socialising.

I have found some time however to fill in some empty areas and add density, I'll try to show progress within the coming week. I'm also working in LE on a few Christmas lots to show before the festive season :D

Thanks for all the recent comments and for taking the time to read and comment, it means a lot.
