Back in middle school I was frequently called a nerd by people who usually were black and very apathetic as far as nerdly_things go.  When I made myself an email address I decided to shove that back in their faces, so I came into the iWorld as nerdly_dood@yahoo.com.  Since you just type in your username for most Yahoo services and games, nerdly_dood seemed easy to remember and not very common, and I use the same username on every site I sign up for to make it easy for me ... so here I am.

My SC4D nic, metarvo, is simply a random word that I made up.  At least, I had never heard it before.  It doesn't really mean anything at all, to my knowledge.

So it does...

met would be short for metalli = metal (that wasn't that difficult)

arvo though is the finnish word for value.

Thus, metalliarvo = value of metal ...



My own nick doesn't really mean much...
I've been RJ in other places and needed to come up with something that could be shortened to RJ when registering for the SimCity world.

Ripple was rather easy... I'm living on an island surrounded by them.
To come up with something for the J was more difficult... and I didn't want it to be too long.
While trying to figure something up I was working on a project involving boats with WaterJet engines...
Since I didn't come up with anything better, I finally just picked the Jet from there.
