As a railwayfan I must confess these are some fine railway pics on this page's updates!   &apls

Nice work with the new Kanals from Jeroni, I must confess I wasn't able to make something out of them that I could show anywhere ... Just the "connection" to Glenni's sewer "irritates" me a bit: the water level seems to be lower in the sewer yet the water seems to pour out of the pipes with a rather high speed and power - so strong pumps over there?

Take care and don't forget to make Backups!

What do I think? I like it very much!

Some little props you added look very good, I think it could be even more of them (but not too much :))

What could be improved?
1. Maybe a bit more streetlights around the station and the bus stop?
2. I like the roof of the big bus stop, especially it's shape. Maybe it would be good to make some metallic sheen on it?
3. I would like to suggest you to check some other bus automata. They can (but don't need of course!) be more colourful, it would make the station's surrounding more alive.

Of course these are only my personal opinions, everything looks good as is

Just pictures for now, I'll explain in the morning....so tried.....

Good morning everyone.  My wife woke me up at the computer last night at 1:15 am.  She says Im addicted to the game and asked if there is someone I could talk to here about my addiction and to get help.  I told her, I am getting help.  Badsim is giving me pionters so I can learn LE".  I explain to her what LE was and she just walked away saying, "Just a hobby......."  I'm sure everything is okay, this morning I found a little note in the bathroom,"I LOVE YOU."   ()stsfd()
Anyways, I got about four hours of sleep, I'm at work now and I feel fine.......for now. Soon I'll have my coffee.

So, check out these pics.  I'm really proud of these.  I think it turned out really good.
The tram station in this pic is at 191% usage. This is the very middle of my down town.  ()stsfd()

You know every time I do work on the my rail lines, I think of you for just a second.  "I wander if bernhard would do it like this?"
I'm glad you like it.  I do have a question, maybe you know the answer.  How many train modds can you use at once, one or lots?  Why I ask is because I do have one.  I DL'd a Go train modd from STEX by bigredfish which can be found here. [Linkie] if anyone else wants it.  Now, I'm not sure if it's because of this modd or not but I don't see freight trains.  There can be both on the track at the same time, right?  Call me the new guy or whatever, but I never used a modd for my trains until a few weeks ago.  I guess I could try taking it out and see what happens, right? Oh and before anyone says anything, yes I read the read me.
Anyways thanks for stopping in and the great comment.

Ennedi, super reply, thank you soooo much.  I really like criticism, it's the only way one can improve anything.  I think the station can use more props as well.  I'm trying new things all the time.  I'll keep posting new pics of the station as I add the new props.  As for the bus automa, that sounds interesting.  I should do that.
You can critique my work any time you want.  As a matter of fact I want you to.  Thanks in advance my friend.  ;)

thundercrack83, I went to bed right after I posted and it seemed like as sound as I got to sleep, I had to wake up.  I get up for work every day at 5:30 am to be at work for 6:30 am.  I'm usually in bed around 10:30pm.  Anyways, it's the weekend now and if needed I'll just take a nap with my son.  hehehe  To my wife....."Sure honey I'll put him to sleep for you."   hehehehe  This city is going to be all about life around the rail lines and industrial areas as you'll soon see in this next update.
See ya next time, my good friend.

urban, Hey how are you?  Have you been here before?  Never mind it's not important cause you're here now.  Glad you like the city.  I'm trying to make it as dirty, yet still as liveable as possible.  The city basically surrounds this main rail station as the focal point.  As for details, isn't that what's it's all about?  The more you can add the better it should look.   ()stsfd()

Anyways, that's it for the replies.
I'll leave you all with this attempt at photoshop.  What do you think?

See ya later.

nice update. good "atempt" at photoshop, too.

Oooh, I like the Photoshop, Robin! It gives it a bit of an antique feel! I can't wait to see more of your experimenting!

With or without photoshoping , great work Robin !     &apls &apls

You used a lot of Lots I don't know , so that's not easy for me so see your changes ... your priorities now have to be ; people , trees and streetlights .In front of Gare du Nord , for example , between the avenue and the road of the station , you could use carefully (very carefully) a ploppable tree from the Mayor Mod to plop regularly the same tree ... have you ever tried that ?
Love your work with Jeronij's cementary walls (isn't it ?) along the railways with diagonals . ( I have to get them ! ... ::) )

Keep it on . ;)

I have to admitt, that I wish to write 10times as many posts as I wish too &ops

I like the grey in that picture, wich makes it more dirty and the opposite of affluent (don't know what the opposit of affluent is %confuso wait.)... impecunious.
I can smell the smog of the factories and how it permeates throughout the windows and walls of the flats and how it lays down like a haze on the trees and plants :satisfied:

Robin, you like the pic's, I love them. Exceptional work, the attention to detail is quite superb

That second photo with the rail station and tram depot is brilliant, that deserves a place in the Hall of Fame &apls

Can't pick a fault with anything here, you are really setting a benchmark for the rest of us to live up to  :)

&apls &apls Geez , What a great job you did with this industrial zone. We not just see it , we can feel it . So that`s mean you done an gave an excellent layout to your work . Very nice and detailled pics too. As your photoshoop try , it`s a good one too. Have fun Robin

sandokan

This MD never ceases of amazing me. You're a true genius in mixing the residential buildings with the dirty, smoggy, wonderful smokestacks of the industrial ones. I can't distinguish your photoshop pic from a real postcard of any real life industrial city. Really outstanding. What is the BIG train station you're using as the center of your town? And what are those diagonal walls? Are those available for download or did you modify it with the LE?

THANKS for sharing your talent!

SANDOKAN

Nardo69

Great pic (I guess I should know that by now ...  ;D )

As for the automata, well, unfortunately I am the completely wrong person to answer your question. I would say meinhosen or swamper should be the right specialists for these kind of questions.

Bernhard

Great pictures.  I particularly love your train network.  I struggle in trying to make mine and yours looks so natural.  I am in awe.  Great job.

Mind-blowing, Robin, without an exaggeration. This has got to be one of the best MD/CJs I have ever had the priviledge of reading. Your last update was particularly mouth-watering; it doesnt get any more realistic.

Hello all,

Time for some Replies,

dragonshardz, Thanks alot.  I sat "attempt" because I'm still doing a lot of experimenting.  Most of the effects I don't like.  I want to be able for viewer to not see what I did and still have the pic look as good as possible.  ;) See ya soon.
thundercrack83, Hey, how you doin?  It's always nice to see you here my friend.  Where do you find the time to do your stats and still have time to play and view these threads?  You must have extra hours in your day, about 30 hours or so?  I think a good antique feel would be to use the sephia effect.  I like it and think it looks good, but I have heard others say they don't like it.  I thought I would take out some of the colour and the pic you saw above is the end result.  More experimenting is this to come.
patfirefghtr, Yah, I can agree with that, you haven't said anything here for a while.  Since your last post I have taking up LE and stepped up my game a little.  This may sound arrogant, but it's my aim to have the best industrial, residential city here.  ::) For instance, I played for four hours last night and I wasn't happy with any of it so I quit with no save.   >:(  I'll have to try again tonight.  ;D
Badsim, Always nice to see you stop in here.  I won't be spending too much time photoshoping, just enough to have a little break here and there.  I'm sure the lots you don't know are the ones I am testing for BSC.  I am now a scrutineer.   ;)  Anything else you see and like, just ask and I'll gladly tell you where I got it.  I see your point about people, trees and street lights.  But the Gare du Nord is already at max props or something like that.  It will no longer save as with the new stuff I out on the lot, which is why I PM'ed you about what you did.  I think I'm going to rip apart the entire lot and start again.  I DL'd everything you suggested, but I'm having problems configuring ILive's Reader.  If someone could help that would be cool.   I have some other lots fixed up.  You should be able to see them in the up coming updates.  Yes, those are Jeronij Rural Walls SF - Warm Version, which can be found here  [linkie], these are the ones I am using, and JRJ Rural Walls Lots Cold Version which can be foundhereI just wish he had made a crumbling wall lot ;) Maybe he is reading this.  I really like the warm version, but both are great and very easy to use.  Anyways, I hope to hear from you again soon.
urban, hey, no worries.  There is no need to comment here tens times more, just remember to comment each time I post.  hehehe   ;)

This was my goal.  Thanks for noticing.  Now come back very soon, okay.
bat, Thanks for stopping by, always good to see you here.
sebes,  Thank you very much.  I'm just learning the ins and outs of LE.  So it's taking some time to go through the props I have, but when I find some I write down their number so they don't get lost again.   ;) I'll have more custom lots coming very soon, in the second or third update from now.
tooheys, good to see you, how are you doing?  Thanks for such a nice comment my friend.  I do try extemely hard now.  It's all about the smallest details.  As for a bench mark, thanks, but there are alot of MD's here better than mine.   ()stsfd() But it's nice to be in a category with them.   ;)
kimcar, Thanks.  This is exactly what I am aiming for.  I'm glad you like and feel the pics so well.  Does that make any sense, ...oh well.  You understand, I'm sure.   ;) Right now the photoshoping is just for fun, good or bad.
sandokan, I do believe I have a new poster here.  Thanks for taking your time to stop by, I hope to see you here more often.   ;)  I don't know about genius, but thanks.   ::)  As for the train station, that is the JENXGareDuNordBeta, one of the best train stations ever and can be found here. [linkie]  And the walls if you look at Badsim's post above, I have included the link there.  I hope to hear from you again.   ;)
Nardo69, my good train enthusiast friend.  Your rail line/ train pics get me every time.  One of these days I'll get ya.   :D  Until than I'll just keep on visiting your awesome MD and watch for all your tricks.  Thanks for the suggestion, but for some reason everything is okay now.  Maybe there wasn't enough demand to show them.  There is now!!!
tkirch, Thanks for the nice comment and stopping by.  As far the rail lines go, just watch what I do (I guess) and go check out Nardo's MD.  Now he has some great lines.  He is truly the master at this art work.  The only other thing I can suggest, Some time less is more.   ;)

Okay, okay, you are making me blush now.......Thanks a lot.  You can come back here any time you want with comments like that.   :D

It means a lot to me when people post such comments.  My drive to continue is always raised to new levels after I read all my comments here.  Thanks to all the commenters and to the viewers.
My next update will be tonight or tomorrow morning.

I haven't had one recently, but I do need one.  ;)
