VIA: Here you go:

Canadian Pacific is 1st in 3rd row and VIA is in fact one of the icons as well, 3rd in last row.

So I finished of the last three engines:

So it was two Southern and a Burlington Route.
As some of you may noticed I am still playing around with the green on the Pullman cars. Tried to place the color close to both Southern (the two on the left), the Maine Central (top right) and the orange/green Great Northern Empire Builder:

The Burlington Route engine completes the California Zephyr set with the two others railroads:
Denver, Rio Grand & Western and Western Pacific.

EDIT:
.... and here are all the icons:

I am pleased that you you caught it... as when I recommended the 'grand canyon' it was the "Rio Grande" I really had in mind... THX     ...

I am not certain what railroad had the grand canyon routes...   ???   ::)

this ought to round out the train set real well now -right?  :-\

Well there is a Grand Canyon Railway. Not that it going through the canyon, but just to the South Rim.

Have started to work on images for the readme and installer, trying to wrap up the modding.
Readjusting the colors a little on the Soutern Railway engines. Trying to make them fit better in with Pullman cars.

So rethinking the structure of the files, a spot opened up in the cars package:

I took out the Burlington Northern engine with the white front (BN1 b) to make room in the engine package.

Oh wow....that looks wonderful!   &apls

APSMS

A welcome decision. The livery and engine look great together.

This will be one exciting release!

I like the matching combos.  Just adds to the realism, nice work!

The installer for the passenger engine is almost done. Is in the process of being checked.

In the meanwhile I am working on the cars:

As the passenger trains called Zephyr and Chicago commuter rail,
ran for great deal longer under the Burlington Route name than under Burlington Northern,
I renamed the car mods from BN3 to CZ after California Zephyr.

The Burlington Northern Railroad was a of a March 2, 1970 merger of  between Great Northern Railway,
Northern Pacific Railway, Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway and the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad.
The interctiy traffic was taken over by Amtrak as of May of 1971.
So a little over a year Burlington Northern had intercity passenger service.

The Burlington Northern merged with Santa in 1996 into Burlington Northern Santa Fe. Now just known as BNSF Railways.

BTW: The White Face color scheme (BN1 B) that I took out, appear a lot later, as late as 1989.

Had to take a break from modding, readme's and picture making.

Working a little on the older passenger cars. Added another roof type:

Now there are 3 types of roofs.

Beside that I got the unwrapping in place, so now I will return to the readme's and modding.

BigSlark

Wow! Older style passenger cars are my favorite! Any chance you might apply your skills to steam locomotives in the near future?

Cheers,
Kevin

Have uploaded the passenger cars to LEX:
VDK Trains Mods, Volume 10. North American Passenger Cars.

Please take your time to read the readme.
Add some extra info in it about the mods and their RL counterparts.

APSMS

Wow! It's finally here. Thanks for all your work; looking forward to using these.

Modding all the mods to work right and have right corresponding nightlight textures was a bit of a task, not to talk about the installer script.
That was 2780 lines, were as the one for vol 09 was just 1254 lines.

The zip is also big, 14 mb with the readme with its images.

Jack_wilds

a big THX... luv playing with train sets...  &apls &apls &apls  the effort is well appreciated...

vester

Thank you Jack.

"Proof of concept":

First canvas in place and model is done. Thinking of doing three main types of cars. This is the first.
Think its called a harmonica roof. It do look a bit like one.
