Ok, as the title implies , I am looking for either a custom icon maker or template. I can make them , but they never turn out as good as what many others create. I have tried the different "How to" tutorials , but mine are always terrible.
Please help me make pretty ones ;D

Ok, I guess I might as well post these actions here for the general use... :)
Enclosed are PhotoShop actions for creating custom icons.
They were created by GasCooker quite a while ago.
You may credit him in your uploads, if you find his actions useful.
Place the file in \Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Photoshop Actions.
Open Photoshop, click on the Actions palette, click on the options menu for that palette, and select "Load Actions".
Open an ingame image of your building in the game.
The image can be any size, but should somewhat square.
Play the action, save the icon, and you're done... :)
Import the icon into the ploppable SC4Lot file with iLive's LEProp.

Here are the templates that I made years ago, but still use very often - they are PSD files with separate layers for the borders. Also included are some "corner" templates, those are basically markers over which you can place a 44x44 pixel icon and use the eraser tool to make round edges until the red corners appear - simple, but effective. ;) So if you don't have Photoshop, but a program that can read PSD files, you can use these.
