Quintin is a small village of just less than 1800 inhabitants in the hills about the lake of Medievia. It has grown around agriculture which is still the main industry. In this aerial picture, taken by the cameras of SNAPIT, you can see how the fields and forests still dominate this area. The dam was built by the indutrialists who wanted to build some factories and provided the funds to make electricity for the village.

The village is running at a small loss at the moment but the Mayor hopes that soon the budget will be better balanced.

The farmers' wives demanded somewhere to shop for basics so BLS Construction built the first shopping mall on the heights of the village. It catered for basic supplies only but was well used by the farmers and their wives.

The first church was small with a small graveyard attached and with the local market next door. Both are still well used by the villagers on this side of the river.

The local water tower is also on this side of the river and makes everyone smile when they see it. It provides water and happiness so what could be better.

While we are looking at this side of the village we may as well see the local agricultural supply depot built by simgoober himself.

Turning our attention to the other side of the river, we can see the village now centres around the new plaza, church and town hall. The church is unfinished and one day the villagers hope to raise the funds to add the steeple. The town hall is another example of simgoober's exceptional building skills. The town plaza hosts a market every week. The stalls are removed

Opposite the Town Hall is the village cricket ground. Now some people say that cricket is not a sport but the Quntin Cricket Team will not agree with that. They are top of their division in the regional cricket league. Mind you they are the only team in the divison at the moment. There are always plenty of sleeping spectators at their matches.

The newest shopping centre is next to the cricket ground so is handy for the spectators when they get bored with the match.

Up above the cricket ground there has been some subsidence and the housholders are not at all happy with the Mayor.
Mr Carling is organising a protest as he is having great difficulty in accessing his house. The Mayor has explained that road upgrading will have to wait until the budget is in profit but these householders are threatening to refuse to pay their taxes if something isn't done quickly.

High above the main part of the village among the trees, are the factories owned by the sims who funded the dam. These are small but very efficient industries and still provide much of the tax income for the village.

That concludes the tour of Quintin, a small settlement in the middle of nowhere.
