Hi all!  This is my first attempt at an MD, and I don't know how to do anything remarkably fancy, so I am very open to suggestions (and tutorials on how to use those suggestions).  Right now, I only have most of the low-residential houses downloaded from here, plus a few other things (NAM, CAM, graphics, etc).  I don't remember who made what, but if you recognize something, please let me know and I'll officially pass out credit where due.

As the title says, there will be ZERO plopping (beyond the obvious hospital, school, etc)...I like to see how things develop naturally.  As far as inspiration goes, I'm using Santa Maria, California as an extremely rough guide, although that won't be recognizable for sometime, if ever.

Without further rambling...welcome to Paddington Farms!

Circa 1900, population approximately 30 humans, 200 barnyard animals.  The three farms make up the only source of steady employment.

Money is rare...often non-existant...but love is aplenty.

Of course, with nothing else to take up the free time...the population soon doubled.  By 1905, the town could claim 70 residents...and that was just the beginning.

Soon there were more hands to work the fields...and more mouths to feed.  New farms were plowed near Paddington.

But not everyone was content with farmwork.  By 1910, the village's population had grow ten-times over to 300+.  Not everyone was content with farmlife...soon a pizza parlor, hot dog vendor, and mechanic opened up.

But are these entrepeneurs ushering in the next natural stage of Paddington...or have they paved paradise and put in a parking lot?

Nice start Donnerna. That's a quaint and quiet little town you've got developing...I'll be watching to see where you go from here. If I may make one suggestion: along the HUD toolbar if you go to the "my sims" tool-set, you can turn the U-Drive-It icons off.

Good luck! Looking forward to your next update...
