The 24 hour rule has been in place just after the start of the contest.  I think it's important because some pictures have a lot of interest and get the votes while others may not, in which case there needs to be an end sooner than later to get onto the next round.  I'm willing to listen to any ideas on changing this rule if enough think it is needed.  I think it is necessary to have a 24 hour rule although I would consider changing the number of votes to a lesser amount to shorten the time span to win.  Tell me what you all think by PM or a short post in here after your vote.

Glad to read that Robin .  In fact it was a denunciation ( with humour ) of something I consider more important than the 24H rule ; use & abuse of photoshop effects , most of the time ruining pictures , praises , always praises everywhere !   ... I know objectivity isn't by this world , but at least in that kind of competition we should have SC4 strictly pictures ...  Well , the joke lasted enough , you can break this round and let another challenger come in ... but just think about it .

48 hours sounds like it'd be worth a try. We could always change the rules back if we didn't like them. Reducing the number of votes required to win could work as well but I'd prefer the 48 hour rule.

I think we shouldn't change the 24 hour rule. Instead, people should vote more often instead of lurking in the topic.
