I think that Gizmo's mod is a closer representation of moonless nights.  According to most standard calendars, the full moon occurs approximately once per month.  The default Maxis settings might represent that night, but this mod is a closer representation of all others.  The only problem is that the mod seems to darken most streetlights.

Even so, these night pics are very impressive, Haljackey. :thumbsup:

(sorry for the Maxis buildings - in the last 45 days, I restarted my SC4 from scratch to account for the many changes in plugins since I last played regularly. I need a custom content boost and have slowly added and added in.)

You'll also see that I have a tactic for keeping the wealth up in 6x6 blocks: put a 2x2 park in the middle. It also makes it look like a common backyard especially if it's all Euro W2Ws.

i cant read korean too, :-[ all my understanding are from picking some simple english word and guess .

Well, I don't do too much night pics (not even dawn ...  ::)) because I do most of my shots "at work"  ;). And then, a nightshot of a field and some forests at new moon doesn't look very ... well ... you might be able to guess how it looks ...

There was a recent discussion in this forum on increased nightlighting of transit networks, partially stimulated by kovlodog's observation that real-life cities viewed from a far zoom (in his case an airliner) are dominated by a spiderweb (or grid) of roads and highways. I'm not suggesting he was the first to notice that, but rather that his observation prompted development of a new mod  $%Grinno$%. Your picture shows that in a way I've not seen before in the game  &apls &apls

Elias (Terring7) Although I hate light pollution in real life (after growing up in an over-lit suburban area I've been fortunate in this respect to have moved to a small town with well-designed streetlights and now a rural area, both with phenomenal views of the night sky) I love it in simcity!  $%Grinno$%  Maybe it's because there's not a way to look up and see the stars in the game  ;)

its a really late reply, but, try BAT_C. each bat with a small disk next to it is available for download unless password protected. the bats with trees next to them have photos.
when you select a bat, the download option is in the top right corner next to the disk.

@ Elvis - straight shorelines are not a mod they just take experience at terraforming and are helped by certain tricks, like removing all the water to terraform sea floors like land.

@ cammo2003 - really great-looking plaza with the USL effect! The effects of that mod on lots for me has been really nice for the most part but a couple lots have given me trouble. Good luck getting nightlights to work for custom content.

Not bad IAM!  Kinda want to combine the images into one layer or image.  Then you can photoshop everything on the mosic without worrying bout layering editing issues.

As for the city, it is a fictional city named Peoria. It is a medium sized city on a large tile with a population of about 111,000 in the city and surrounding suburbs. It is also the county seat of Douglas County. Since this picture was taken awhile ago, the population has grown in the suburbs bringing the population of the Metro to about 180,000. BTW, this pic is facing SOUTH instead of NORTH. Please tell me what you guys think.  I might start an MD soon about this region.
