Title: LEX ... Download History ...
Post by: Colyn on February 05, 2007, 10:53:30 AM
Go check out your Download history on the LEX  ... now you will get even more help from SC4D to manage your downloads and to maintain the depemdency files ... we keep track for you of updates to files you took and we remind you about outdated ones you downloaded.  "$Deal"$

Big thanks to Relic.

This is a great idea.

Can I make a suggestion though? There needs to be a "reset download history" page or option (for those of us whose computers decide to go kaput, as my old one recently did). Perhaps on a profile page or something?

Cammo ... I understand you request but think about this ... and that is the logics we applied when designing the Download tracking ...

Your machine crashes and you loose everything ... when you come back to the LEX you get your Download list and you know exactly what you had ... now you just work through that list from one end to the other and you know that you have restored your content from the LEX ... am I wrong ?

Any chance of a little legend on the page? I've just looked at it and see a Green tick and a Red X. Does this mean I'm up to date on one and not on the other?

yes ;D
Red means there has been an update and green is that you are up to date.

Will there ever be a time when all the updated files will be at the top of the list so you can see at a glance what's needs to be re-downloaded?

It should show you on your download history if a file has been updated. Also if you select Recently updated the uploader SHOULD tell you what has been updated.

It does, but since my d/l history spans 2 pages, I checked on the 2nd page and the first two entries on the 2nd page show that the files have been updated.  I was just wondering why those weren't at the top of page 1 with the other updated files.

Also, do you (or Colyn) know why some of the items are yellow and some are blue?

thanks, Barby.

1. We will look at the sort order of the Download history.

2. The yellow and blue is windows "visited" and not visited colours from the style sheet .... but it is a bit flakey at the best of times. ;)
