DirectX Problem & SC4TF Won't Open

Hi, I downloaded the latest DirectX to my computer, but I'm not sure that it really is DirectX because all the files I downloaded had something to do with "Driver Detective." Secondly, I downloaded the SC4TF, but the installer wont open when I double click on it's icon or do the right click open thing. I appreciate any help...I'm using Windows XP.

You need directx 9.0c from after April 2006,ie the dx version that ships with eXtra Patience sp3 is not new enough. Get the lastest from Microsoft, the re-distributable is dated Feb 2010

Also you need gdiplus.dll and msvcp71.dll, use your favourite search engine, there are plenty of dll repositories around. Place these two files in c:\windows\system32.

It'll work.
