the text on the left looks good, but from a point of view of just being simple to read, I'll vote for the one on the right (Clearview).

Good to see some work from you here, Ryan. As for the fonts, I must go with the Clearview. Sad to see there won't be any old button-copy signs, I love old patched signs.

Just an update . . . . going to be taking votes for approximately 48 more hours!

FHWA Highway Gothic:  3

Clearview:  4

Rock The Vote, y'all!

IMHO, Highway Gothic is the "true" sign font, so it will be the one that I choose.  Clearview doesn't look bad, but I'm used to seeing Highway Gothic.
Find my power line BAT thread here.
Check out the Noro Cooperative.  What are you waiting for?  It even has electricity.

Here are some rural power lines.

Clearview looks better, I think :)

Only 24 Hours Left To Vote!

FHWA Highway Gothic:  9

Clearview:  6

Once again, only taking votes for another 24 hours!  Get ahold of me any way you can to vote!

Of course, comments here are the preferred method.  ;)

Well, after many votes & opinions, I'm pleased to announce that I will be using

FHWA Highway Gothic

on Orleans County's highway signs.

Thanks to everyone for voting, and we'll start finishing off the highways & seeing development really soon!

D'oh! Well, that's my opinion as a rebel to the true roadgeeks.

I'm eager to see the highways and development soon, Ryan.
