SG Commercial Lots - Brown Boxes

G'day once again,

right now I'm having 2 serious problems with SC4.

1. thw game (without me touching the mouse) crashes to desktop within 30 seconds of pressing 'run' (I usually save in 'pause' mode) = I will try to deal with this on my own for the time being. It all started after I built a sunken highway which cut through 2 tram lines, which I haven't managed to re-connect due to the not yet available transition piece Tram-FLUP to subway... This could be the reason - I will see...

2. brown boxes with several of SimGoober's commercial lots, particularly California Pizza, Chocolate Factory, Kelly's Escorts, etc.
Weird thing is: I used to have these building in other cities before - without any brown boxes!

So I run BSC Cleanitol, which came up with several missing dependencies (but also with "You seem to be up to date..." - LOL), some of which I'm sure are installed for ages. Several of them should be part of BSC Textures Vol.01 - a real basic file.
Just to be sure I download the pack again, run it a second time, only to find afterwards exactly the same errors in the BSC Cleanitol report:



Now I'm more confused than before

eg. the last file in the list, WTC Textures.dat, is according to the link on www.sc4devotion.com/dependencies.html part of BSC Textures Vol.1 -
so why is it missing in my directory if I have JUST re-installed BSC Textures Vol.01???
PEG base textures is another file which leaves me... 

Some of the others I cannot even find in the list on The Dependencies Page

For SG's lots you need the CS model packs which are avaliable on the LEX. Maybe you accidently removed them? That Cleanitol is correct because its making sure that those old files aren't there. It should be red if they were missing and it would say "not found." Those should be in BSC Textures Vol 1. (Not sure about Peg's but it might contain the older ones)

For SG's lots you need the CS model packs which are avaliable on the LEX.

Excuse my ignorance: what are CS model packs?

(Nothing with a similar name listed on http://www.sc4devotion.com/dependencies.html - only lots of CSX files, most of which are locked because they are part of the BSC essentials.)

OK, there is something hinky going on here.  That list has been updated to December last year, and by clicking the brown box at the top of the page you'll get to the latest version.  But for some reason the link above leads to the old version.  I'll bring it to Jeronij's attention.

That's actually what the Cleanitol is supposed to do. It doesn't only check for dependencies that you need (eg. BSC Textures Vol 01), so they can be downloaded, but also old, deprecated dependencies (like WTC_Textures.dat), so that it can remove them from your plugins. When Cleanitol says 'Not present', it's just telling you that everything is OK (you don't have deprecated dependencies lurking around).
