This is my 1st MD here at SC4D, although Stone Creek is my 5th CJ at Simtropolis. I update the ST version of Stone Creek around everyday, but I will try to update this one as often as I can.
Some of you know me from a few pictures in the Picture Competition or the Show Us Your... threads so, you might recognize some of the pictures.
I always thought of starting a MD here but today io_bg saw some of my pictures and said I should, so, I did.

Nice look, where did you get those diagonal residential lots? It looks like they could work at the ends of cul-de-sacs and/or diagonal roads.

Absolutely beautiful, you should mirror all future updates from your simtropolis CJ, and post them here as well, because some people (me included), don't use ST at all anymore, except for the stex occasionally. The community here is much more tight-knit and friendly than over there, at least from my point of view. Not to mention, ST is rediculously slow most of the time :p
EDIT: Travis, some people are on ST all the time and don't come over here to SC4D. We are all part of the larger SC4 community, and each site has something unique to offer. For those who find spending time at ST enjoyable, I don't think the comparative speed of that site is a big issue- I know the folks over there have always worked hard on that sort of thing. Beyond all that, check the rules here [linkie] (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?board=60.0). If you don't have anything nice to say about another fansite, I think that it's pretty clear that you really don't need to speak up about that sort of thing at all. -dedgren

Welcome to SC4D!!!! I agree with you, that ST is your home and all. It is mine too! Both sites are great! The only thi ng that you need to know is that MDs here get a lot of views but not so many comments. Don't expect to get the normal amount (like at ST) in where Stone Creek is placed(Recently Published).

How do you get streetside / roadside seasonal tree?
I am using uroncha's seasonal farm street and SFBT street tree mod,
so parts of my city are seasonal and parts are ever green. Kind of unsatisfactory.

Beautiful city! Your downtown and suburban river are both really nice, but I especially love all the seasonal trees in your first pic. Are those all a combination of the streetside mod you mentioned and plopping individual trees, or did you also use some seasonal tree lots or any other kind of mods (e.g. something to replace all Maxis trees, or a seasonal tree controller for a terrain mod)?
I will have to try to catch up on your older CJ posts, but I also look forward to seeing more here.

First off let me apologize for the pictures not working. What had happened was that you can only use a certain amount of Bandwith a month, and I had already gone over the limit with this last update, meaning that I couldn't update Stone Creek untill the middle of April. But because I wanted to keep Stone Creek alive, and I love all the readers of Stone Creek and ST overall, I paid $39.95 for Photobucket Pro, just so I could keep Stone Creek going for you guys! The reverse shots always look good. For my personal opinion, I prefer shots with positive colour saturation, unless it's a really dirty industrial site, then I find a washed out negative saturation adds to that 'dismal' look.
Always love to see what you're working on. The last picture there in particular is very well done. Your neighborhoods are very clean and well thought out, but the infrastructural details like the parking lot/train station combo are the bits and pieces that really add realism to, the scenes. I love c.p.'s corner lots too, but those streets on the lots always seem to end up emptying into a lamp post or tree. Oh well, if that's the biggest nitpick, I'd say the civic planners are doing a fine job. Always great to see your work.

Nice update and welcome back &apls I like the idea with the Christmas lights on the houses, though it'd be nice if you could make them "glow".
Nice pictures, my favorite is the one with the sunken railway station as i love these old rowhouses there. And the shot with the lights on is cute... :thumbsup:
