WOW WOW WOW!!! It's great. That a details...

DebussyMan

Thankyou all for your kind words  ;D

Done with the courtyard... I still have to make the most important part: the Tower... which will block the view of most of the courtyard I just made... but well... at least we know it is there  ()sad()

Ah.. Those nice sc views :-) i know the problem. Personally I have learned to accept to only model the parts that can be seen in the game (which is hard to accept if you are a perfectionist by nature). But for me being less perfectionistic was to only way to finish something.
I see you are sticking to perfectionism ;-) ... as this looks GREAT!

I don't know the real building... Is there roof junk that you will add to the flat roofs?

my final question: would you be willing to share your wall textures?

Thx, alex

DebussyMan

Thanks, Alex.

About the roof junk... I'm still thinking how I'll handle it. The building was restored in early 2000's leaving the roof with just tar and a couple of vents here and there, however, I have early XX century pictures where one can see the roof is flooded with skylights, so I'll probably go for that look to make it more interesting.

Regarding the wall texture, I'll send it to you first thing in the morning tomorrow...  ;)

That's a beautiful courtyard  &apls  It's a shame the tower will block most of the view  :'(

Nice work on the courtyard, Carlos! Too bad I'll be not shown in the game. :P
I'll take a quiet life... A handshake of carbon monoxide.

Hey Carlos, how about making a second version of the city hall without the tower? I don't know how well that would actually look, but you'd get your courtyard on full display. Worth a try?

Cheers,
Willy

Well... I'd could try, wouldn't be hard at all. However, the courtyard won't be completely hidden by the tower, but will partially block some of the details.

what's next?  ::)

What happens is that I lost all my "packaging, testing and modding" software in my last PC breakdown, so I can't upload to the LEX until I get them all up and running; my free time right now is scarce so I'd rather spend it BATting instead of downloading, configuring and packing. I will eventually work on that and upload my works to the LEX.

Next I plan on working in more Berlin buildings, perhaps advance a little on the Louvre and another big model I got in the backburner.
