Thanks for the textures! They look really interesting. But unfortunatly I don't know how to handle them. I put on the sandstone texture to a simply cube, choose "Bump" with an amount of 80 and entered the bump-image you attached. On the little preview inside the ME I can see the pattern, but on the cube it doesn't appear.

FromTheAshes: Are you using gmax? If so, I'm afraid it doesn't support bumpmaps, only 3ds max does.

I think you've outdone yourself. Between Notre Dame and Metropolitan Cathedral I'm not sure which is better. Your rendering of the inside of the cathedral is just breath taking.

It's true that Chartres looks realy big (which one is the bigger, BTW? ) and is untouched since it was build almost 900 years ago.

But, Nôtre-Dame de Paris (has it is in Paris and because of the Revolution, Napoleon and Victor Hugo) has an unmatched historical and romantical impact on the entire world spirit.

About Chartres: I do have it planned, but not sure when exactly will I start it.

Meanwhile, to rest a little from Notre-Dame (It does get tedious, specially with such big projects), I started another church, much more easier, it is Frauenkirche from Munich:
