Thanks all. The texture is indeed darker on purpose, so it doesn't look that "new", given that the renderer usually makes textures look brighter than they really are.

Here's another update. Slow but safe, the nave, we don't want it to happen like Beauvais.

No importance because, the cathedral, it's in restoration!

Badsim: I don't think I'll make beauvais, it is too much work to never see it complete. Though, maybe someday I could experiment with it.

Anyways, here's another small update. The nave now with textures, and I've started the transept.

I think so too, and besides, I think the Notre Dame de Paris is overrated and over-publicised, I've always admired Chartres Cathedral more. And Debussyman is doing a superb job at recreating it! I am still in awe.

I still remember when I went up the spire of the Chartres Cathedral in 1998, it was very rainy that day, fun trip though.

Soon I'll be able to add a perfect representation of that huge impressive Cathedral in game

Yeah!!Me too.... I thinks la cathedrale de Chartres its more gorgeaous than Notre Dame de Paris, but its my opinion, because i think, Notre Dame, it's similar than other cathedrals like Amiens or Reims!

Well , well, let me give you my opinion :
- 1st/ Notre-Dame has a location. I mean, Chartres or the others cathedrals cities may be very nice but ND is in the heart of the "Ville Lumière", close to everything that counts (don't ask me to make a list).
- 2nd/ Notre-Dame has an history. The History of western Europ since the middle-age and even before (since archeologists have found under the cathedral, the remains of a church that has been built around the yr 800 - Charlemagne - and even before some Romans ruins) , the 100 years war , the Revolution, Napoléon, etc. I don't even wanna talk about Victor Hugo's novel.

Notre-Dame de Paris is not only a magnificent church, it's much more, it's a legend , it's the symbol of our civilisation.

Well, in my opinion, Notre-Dame de Chartres and Notre-Dame de Paris are hardly comparable. Notre Dame de Paris is mainly a romantic building, with lots of history and mystery to it, which makes it a very interesting site, plus it is a very beautyful and magnificent building. Notre Dame de Chartres on the other hand, is sooo medieval, undesacrated by the romance as ND de Paris was, makes it a magical and awe-ispiring building, with perfect proportions, that takes you directly to the middle ages and makes you humble before the presence of God.

Anywho... here's another update. Almost complete, just missing the absidal chapels, some changes to the north transept (the rose isn't yet ready, in pic it can't be seen) and some other minor details like the statues, etc...
