Have you managed to make much progress, or has RL been getting in the way?  ;)

It is back to the RL issues atm I'm afraid, like always I dare not (Or cannot) sit down and concentrate on it for fear of loosing track of my time and work. But shall step back up when I do have a chance though, but again I apologise for the lack of heads up for this...

Certainly we have all been there; and there is no need to apologize. We'll be here when you get back, and until then, take it easy if you can.

Pat: Cool, thanks for the understanding and the didication!

kimcar: Finnish for yesterday? lol, that too I wish for in some respects. Would certainly get things rolling with a bang :bomb:. Thanks for being here all this time my freind and looking around.

threestooges: Thanks, I will apologise regardless, there are people (And my reigon) that are waiting for casinos and even some requests that are posted and I always feel like I am letting them down, but I intend to return every time I do vanish and it is the best I can do for you and for me too.

Hogmeister: Thanks for understanding too Mike, and hopefully you are getting better.

tag_one: That indeed is a shame, but here's to your return also.

Well gang I just wanted to let you all know I have some spare time to myself to look forward to (Permitting the other half and work), and have dug up the files and looking for a restarting point.  To be honest I didn't get quite far with the base as it happens, I started reaching into the realms of detail and got lost before being reminded of my coursework commitments. When I find that point of restart, I will show you every step of the way.

I am about to find some preview shots for you all to be reminded of and to just keep saying thankyou for the feedback and commitment you all have given me, and again like before with the SGM, it would sure mean nothing at all to me if it was not being supported by great people like you. I will keep saying this until my deathbed, telling the world that without it, I would be nothing short of a nobody.

So here's to you all; you've been very kind, pateint supportive and above all others - Immensively critical. ;D

Check back later for those previews...

 :)

Here is where the tower's completion is concerned:

Day

Night

I may play around with the dark & dull base of the tower itself when I start building the actual Casino hall around it; maybe add some flood lights or something. Now just to find a starting point...

The tower looks amazing and the night pic looks pretty good. I know what you mean about not being able to update, and I'm glad to see you will be sticking around. As for how to start the base, I suggest starting... from the beginning. Ok, wise acre remarks aside, I think a large rectangle would work well for a basic shape, with the edge of one of the sides stretching from tower tip to tower tip (leaving the 3rd tip to extend back down the middle of the rectangle... if that makes any sense) and use the part between tower tips for the entance. Perhaps have the entrance wall bend in a (very) little bit to compliment the tower curve as well. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I was thinking of that, would remind me too much of the old one so I decided to start with some ideas off of the original and cut/paste as I saw fit, some places are basically rectanglish in comparison so expect to see some Matt!

Ok; here is where I started and I continuing from...

More as I continue...

Hey Neal, love your work and think this project is coming along wonderfully.  I liked the first rendition you did of the building but see how much better this one is going to be.  I'm guessing RL is getting in the way again as you haven't posted aything since July.  Hope all is well and look forward to this project completion.

I hope to be in the right place here. I have downloaded and installed the SGM Casino. But it does not appear in my Landmark menu, nor is it getting built in any of my cities. I also have all the necessary dependancies installed. What is wrong?

For this to grow you need CAM installed, this is a stage 9, and you need a large amount of demand.  As for not seeing it in the landmarks menu, it should be there.  I have used this before with no problems.
