BuildingUp

It's been awhile since my last update in my previous thread and I've just not been able to keep it updated. So I've decided to make a general picture journal with different views around my current, and new region. It's all still new, the fresh paint smell is still in the air. Right now the region is flat, just like you start out with if you choose to make a new region in SC4 and choose not to have water tiles. It's green, and it's unaltered. This will all change and hopefully will become something worth viewing. Anyways, I appreciate any viewers or commentators.

And Merry Christmas!

THE SMALL TOWN OF CHRISTMAS: UPDATE 1.1-1.2 (There isn't a 1.0, I am starting off with 1.1)

Speaking of Christmas, in this new region, a small town was founded. Named after the mayor's favorite holiday, Christmas harbors a small number of residents, but is slowly growing as the regions first town and first sign of life. Below, a regional view is visible.

As you can see, the overview of the town shows how small it is. But not all towns stay small, and Christmas continues to grow every day. As you can see below, a close up view of one of the portions of the town show how green and lively the town is.

The next update will focus on other parts of the town, and explore it's growth from small town to town, and so on. Eventually I hope to introduce new cities and towns.

Thank you for viewing the first update!U

Alright, let's go to other parts of Christmas. Now with a little over 6,000 residents and still growing.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY: Update 1.3-1.4

The fire station can be seen here, along with some shops and a few homes.

The Mayor, Ferris Quantum, is the first mayor of this new city in this new land. A statue was dedicated to her near the Christmas High School.

Time for some more views around the town. Now up to 8,000 population.

MOVING ON UP: POPULATION 8,000 Update 1.5-1.6

Suburbia continues to grow, and the greenery doesn't seem to cease here.

Even more houses. Some of them quite old as you can see.

More to come!

Battlecat

Great start!  Your photos look quite nice and warm.  It's a great looking area already!

I have to agree with Battlecat, great start.

About your pictures, please convert them to jpg.
By resaving two of your picture, the file sizes went down from:
a3l3zt went down from 1.06 MB to 116 kb and
2is8s4n went down 1.00 MB to 98 kb.
This is with the quality setting set to 70 %, using IrfanView.

With this settings set to 75 % the file sizes would be: 129 kb and 108 kb.
This is the setting I used most, as it is were there is a minimum quality loss.

I use this program as well to take screenshots directly to jpg.
(Pressing C to start the screen capture.)

Thank you for catching that Arne.  Have a karma point.  &apls  Robin

Thanks for the help, I converted the last two using Irfanview. It really does work well. Anyways thanks again! :)

Time for a teaser image.. :)

Just north of the town of Christmas, whose population was approaching 12,000, a smaller town named Vista Falls exists.

This update we explore the wealthier sector of this new region.

TomasNeto: Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too, hope you all had a great holiday!

Here's my first poor attempt to piece some pictures together to make a fuller view. I hope it's not too big.

This is the whole size of Vista Falls so far.

sumwonyuno

It's a nice attempt.  It does take practice and skill to get a seamless photo.  ;)
