File Names

   I just wondered if anyone has ever looked at using CRC Values to track files. I have been playing for Years and always get frustrated with keeping track of all the files and dependencys. The new Starup Manager and Cleanitol has done wonders and got me started again but the Cleanitol tracks exact filenames. My biggest complainet is the simple things like BSCMegaProps on some and BSC Mega Props used on others. A _ here and a space there throws everything off. Using CRC Values would allow you to Name anything anyway you want and still be able to find files. You could also search for Duplicate files and there are tons of programs out there used to Track and Orginize files by CRC Value. I have found the same files on one site then another with simple file Name differences. It really does become a Nightmare.
