OK I think I can manage that one Gaston lol....  Anywho OK Cabrabuitre here are some marching orders from me OK you ready?

First off I would like a region pic of Northern zone with a population chart so I know what I am working with...

Second I ask that you rebuild the rail connection as I would like to exchange goods, you know to make it easier then using the roads as since well there are a few fundamentilist out there and I have no control over them yet...

Third request is simple at this time seeing as your stuck in the south and we have a nice hot spring I would like to have a small park constructed with any flare you would like it has to be nice though.... But one thing it can't have a hot spring in it.... You may build this park in the south there and it has to be near Route 10...

Once these simple request are fullfilled I will then have further request aka marching orders for the construction and beautification of the North....

Ohh I forgot to mention that in the region view pic can you please have the city boarders and names on for me thanks a million

Here are the orders I have laid out for Mevarvo:

Sorry this took a while to post.  My grandfather just passed away and life has been crazy with work.

Now for the orders!  You'll be building all of this in tile I.

You were right about the power plant... we Southerners hate the thing!  The constant breeze from the north blows soot onto our land and the sulfer smell is always there too.

The first order is to build some sustainable wind power.  And we don't want those fancy modern wind generators... we want the ones made by gshmails over at Simtropolis!

And while you're at it, let's conserve some water supply on our side too... such as the old Chicago Water Tower.

After we don't have to worry about being cut off from the essentials from the North, we want to make something special of our land to the south.  You should develop housing and commerce with the proper services (police, fire, medical, schools, waste elimination, etc).  Also, please build an industrial park that is set apart from the housing with some sort of buffer (natural or otherwise) with a rail connection to tile M (to eventually link to the rail connection there) that also connects to tile H (for future development in that direction too).  Also, make sure that you have two road connections to tiles F, H, and M

And finally, we want a central park to be built with a central fountain.

These are your orders!

A couple of questions Pat...

1.  I can get you the population with city names and a regional pic without so you can see development... but there is only development in tile B.

2.  In this challenge, we're working in just one tile... so which tile would you like me to build in?  And where would you like the rail to go?  The rail connection in the south is severed... it will take several weeks to fix, so you might want a rail connection going somewhere else... :P

3.  Park will be forthcoming... though technically I could decline that request because it is in the area I control.  I'm trying to mend relations though!

These are on my other comp, so I'll post them this afternoon before class or tonight after.

Here's what you asked for... not sure how useful it will be though, so I'll post the transportation pic with it.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh5.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FSgKTwZW9M-I%2FAAAAAAAAAVA%2FqboB6_ni6hE%2Fs800%2FGhiglieri-1241682462.png&hash=f5401733a066a5320ecac62ae95b05e3a5d2e88b)

Can't really see much... because there isn't much to see.  The only development is in tile B.  Only Tile A (Roycemore) has had its name placed on the map.  The other tiles HAVE names... but the mayor hasn't had a chance to get them on the map!

Tile B has 234 people in it and there are 605 in the south.

Hey Cabra sorry for my absence... I do like the pics you have posted so far and very good!!! I will show you where I want development soon...  I still would like to have the Rail Line that was severed be restored and we can talk about having another line somewhere else soon....  True you could decline the request for the park but I was merly trying to be nice to give you a gift from the north...

OK, I can restore the rail line.

I've got some ideas for the park... I think it will be something completely different...!

I'm going to try to work on building up the South some as I normally would... the whole separation was a shock to the mayor, seeing as the region is so new (just a few weeks!).

Do I have any more orders for the North, or do I just rebuild the rail connection and build what was requested in the South...?

OK Cabra C is now officially going to be called Cherry Valley and where we would like to have devolpement to start here in the north...  As you can see by the colored Legend is a roughly what for farming, industry, commercial services, and residential.... Commercial and Residential shouldn't go over $$ for now but no pop cap... Build Services as they pop up IE hospitals and fire stations.. Basically run it as you would normally but please build in the designated areas...

In K we would like the Rail line to connect to Sim Nation like so please... Make sure that Cherry Valley is Watered and Powered and there is adequate garbage removal too please and thank you...  The Seperation is also very hard on us as well too and we look forward to working with you!!!

The rails in Binkhaven Nord are a bit difficult to see, but they're there!

As you can see, I have yet to do any other building yet...

OK Cabra C is now officially going to be called Cherry Valley and where we would like to have development to start here in the north...  As you can see by the colored Legend is a roughly what for farming, industry, commercial services, and residential.... Commercial and Residential shouldn't go over $$ for now but no pop cap... Build Services as they pop up IE hospitals and fire stations.. These seemed pretty straightforward and not too demanding, but I found I had quite a bit of communication issues talking to the contractors who were building in the north (... I had a TON of crashes to desktop throughout this challenge...!)  To remedy this, I also complied with a previous request from the Separatists:

Quote from: CabraBuitre on May 02, 2009, 12:51:12 AM
The leader, Hooshmand Kadkhodaian, said that the north half of Ghiglieri had seceded from the southern half.  He said that the Northerners had voiced their grievances and these grievances had not been addressed, so they decided to break away from Ghiglieri proper and create a new land (for which they had not yet come up with a suitable name...).

"What are these grievances you say you've voiced?" asked Mayor Cabra.

"You mean you didn't get our letter?" said Hooshmand.

"Uh... no, no I didn't," said Mayor Cabra.

"Well, for one... WE HAVE NO MAIL SYSTEM!" screamed Hooshmand.  "We slave away, doing the majority of the manual labor around here, building all of your fancy roads and bridges, and we don't have any way of writing home to Mom.  Without a mail system, we simply cannot be a part of Ghiglieri.  We tried to write some letters to Governor Bison, but these were ignored too.  ... Largely because they didn't have any way of being sent."

"Wow," said Mayor Cabra.  "The national mail service doesn't come out here yet... I mean, this region has only been established for about a month or so.  We've all been using email to communicate to our loved ones.  Doesn't that work for you?"

"NO!" screamed Hooshmand.

So the first thing that was built up North was a post office (red building).

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh5.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FShIUHBOCOnI%2FAAAAAAAAAV8%2FJmz5Q4vfoAU%2Fs800%2FCherry.Valley-C-Nov.%252021%252C%2520581242634996.png&hash=3f3895852401c343db8c4afa53e40238c98d1105)

This area is the pride of Cherry Valley.  In the bottom right you can see the BWW plant (Bavarian Wagon Werks).  This German company was involved with making wooden catapults in WWII that were very accurate and had very long range... but the Allies made them stop their catapult production after the war so instead they switched to wagons... and the rest is history.

Here you can also see the separatist leader Hooshmand Kadkhodaian's house.  He wasted no time in crafting a magnificent abode for himself!  He also had a statue crafted in his likeness which you can see between the heart shaped ponds at the curve of Hwy 10.

After the BWW plant, a few other large employers moved in:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh6.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FShIUG6yYNQI%2FAAAAAAAAAV4%2FTZzKGdeab4E%2Fs800%2FCherry.Valley-C-Nov.%252012%252C%2520561242634913.png&hash=627acbc7f3f49a62e52171ad516cbdc0a07f8ee3)

After these large plants moved in, many entrepreneurs thought they could make money in the rising industrial sector so they set up their own labs and small factories.  They generally had about as much success as the unfortunate clod who is one of a couple of boys who are playing with firecrackers and want to see who can hold on to it the longest without blowing off a finger... and holds on too long.

Here's a shot of their... attempts?

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh4.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FTPB4RQk2vzI%2FAAAAAAAAA5s%2Ff_fV2_d9DJE%2Fs800%2F3a.jpg&hash=4c818a6ae3fd87684619ef089177c063c338b5bd)

Which brings us to the Mercy Medical Center.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh4.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FTPB4RROWU4I%2FAAAAAAAAA5w%2FG9p-k4NnLpE%2Fs800%2F4a.jpg&hash=85d2080acc75bfde3c21bcde4b50d4c87f0bbae9)

A rather large medical facility for the size of Chery Valley (now about 20,000 residents) to be sure, but the number of accidents overwhelmed the smaller health facilities that were set up.

The Mercy Medical Center is centrally located in the residential part of town.

The many different types of architecture found here truly underlines the diverse population that quickly immigrated to Cherry Valley when the Separatists took power.

For those individuals not hellbent upon doing scientific experiments to extract their limbs, the commerce beckoned.  Most notably the central marketplace.

Unfortunately, the shoppers at the market are very shrewd and are looking for a deal.  They pit one vendor against another for the lowest price and most merchants barely scrape by.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh5.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FTPB4RhP6ZAI%2FAAAAAAAAA50%2F4-GPXkzAr0g%2Fs800%2F5a.jpg&hash=e99645a0c6b0c43860b5c3477805850ffafad24b)

While the Separatists have been doing their best to become self-sustaining, Mayor Cabra and the rest of Ghiglieri have been doing some things to try to mend the wounds.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh6.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FTPB4Xk7j8nI%2FAAAAAAAAA54%2FANnAlGRQ82Q%2Fs800%2F6a.jpg&hash=d2ca8d2dc24680e8a2428f8e6d8e5fd229aa63b6)

Here you see a couple of different attempts by the southerners.  First, there's the giant statue of a mail carrier.  Mayor Cabra wasn't too thrilled with the idea... but a popular vote throughout Erehwon overwhelmingly approved the measure.  The statue lies just to the east of Highway 10.  Just west of Hwy 10, you can see the small attachment of "watchmen" who man the check-point.  They have not had any difficulties and actually have welcomed many Separatists who have come to ride the new attraction of Erehwon... the Liberty Eye.  This new hot spot in the night club district is the place to be on the weekends.  It has supplanted the hot springs of the north, which are now off limits to those from Ghiglieri.  The Separatists are welcomed and routinely enjoy the ride.

Erehwon has been growing quite a bit.  The population exceeds even that of the quickly growing Cherry Valley north of the river.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh4.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FTPB4XuB1eEI%2FAAAAAAAAA58%2F0dbLLA3kBSk%2Fs800%2F7a.jpg&hash=61153258d5fec45571e9ba5210e7938a934f1240)

The last pic is from the top of Mount Erehwon.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Flh6.ggpht.com%2F_QFpK53LUI-E%2FTPB4Xt-fcTI%2FAAAAAAAAA6A%2F04WcCPQwYdM%2Fs800%2F8a.jpg&hash=de8594d08e30d8c8aad91756de6415efabdcff13)

It shows some farms and the residential district, as well as the new conference center (large white building in the center of the picture).  This was built in spirit to house visiting dignitaries... but the real reason is that Mayor Cabra wants this location to be the place where Ghiglieri is reconciled... and could, in theory, become a popular historic place or even a future center of government.

He's the mayor... He's gotta think ahead... but he's got quite a bit to worry about in the near future.

Judgements for challenge 4.

We have been away from judgements for the summer, first because of some illness of Lynn's mother and then missing some free time, after we took an almost two month vacation, but now we're back judging. Most of these judgements were done since quite a while, but only on paper.
This challenge was a bit harder to judge than others, because orders were given by an adversary, so we will judge it so, putting ourselves in the shoes of the adversary. I must say that we also were very generous with points at this time, something that we will change a little bit for the next coming challenges. Don't worry, we won't start giving bad points now..... ;) Please go and judge my challenge 4 now. Thank you.

1.  The orders given were excellent and of good sense, so 5 points were added.

2.  The demands were well excecuted and nicely done with good effort. We gave you 5 points for this also. Also the description and story were entertaining.

3.  We don't know which statue to judge, so we chose the first one, which is quite nicely done. Another 5 points added here.

Very nicely done challenge which earned you 15 points that we added to your total. Good job.
