using custom maps

I have tried to download some maps but i don't seem to be able to do everything right, whenever i go to load a region only the regions from the game itself (berlin...etc) appear, i have no idea what i am doing wrong. I download the config file, and the greyscale area and put them in a new folder in the regions one, then i just start up sim city and try to load it but they never appear help!???

you should look here
And you should give a try to SC4Mapper which will be faster then SC4 to create a region
