hey i have a question i want to change all the tiles around my downtown tile (which is large like all the others) to four groups of four medium tiles, i am familiar with configs and understand that i can just paint those areas as green, however this region as you saw already has some stuff done, can i do this in SC4TF without reloading every tile in the region and planting trees again.?

thanks

Hey Alek King,

Here is the best way I can think of at the moment.... &idea

1.  Save an SC4M of your region using SC4TF

2.  Open your region folder find the city tile you wish to change and delete the save game file for it.

3.   Now open your config.bmp and change the blue pixels you need to change and make them green.

4.  Open the region in SC4TF, make sure you lock all tiles that have any cities.

5.  Now Import your SC4M you created, because all the data will have been lost in that large city tile when you erased it.  This will recreated your land in the unlocked areas.  It should not create a problem in a city that has been built and you missed when locking everything.  But, lock them anyways just in case.

6.  Save your region.  And you are set to build in SC4.

Have Fun!!

Hello all,

With Christmas finally out of the way, NHP can finally upload the Columbia River Valley map. You can see some of it on JPlumbley's page, and over at Simtropolis under the CJ Creation of Map Invermere Valley.

Anyways, I will now post my final comparison shots using that map.

I will be announcing this maps release, as we have well over 4 months put into it!

Bravo. Not only for what you made in the game but also for getting there by bike!

Thank you!!

I've also been to the top of the featured mountain by foot. What an experience. The air is pretty thin at 10869ft (3313m), at least it was for me... Plus I was glad to be wearing a helmet on that one!!

btw the Invermere Valley map has been released:

Great stuff, amazing how you can recreate all those maps. When are you releasing your secret? ;) And ALEK is right, I second that, snowboarding all the way down would be amazing.

Beautiful Map (what else :))

And no way I'd want to be hardtailing it down that mountain...too bumpy! (ya, I know I'm soft).

jplumbley

Thanks for the comments on the map guys!!  I put a lot of work into the valley that is for sure!!  :satisfied:

Good Day, folks!

I have a new creation to showcase. It's called NHP Pacific Rim National Park by me. Here are some images:

Currently, until I find out a little bit more about the LEX, this map is available to ST users at this address:

The map is 1793x1793 (7x7 large tiles). It is pretty easy to build on, and with some creativity, a pretty wild looking city could be had!

If you are a LEXer only, sit tight!
