That's great ! I have many memories of this beautiful bridge, In 2009 I visited this bridge for the first time and WOW !
The Eiffel tower looks awesome from this bridge, if you need any pic, please only ask me, ok ?

Hi Alex ,

These overlays especially made by Youcef69k for the T.W.Project could be proper , despite the fact I've no idea about what the transition with normal avenues textures would look like there ...

... but that's the ones I'm using for parisian avenues .  ::)

Well , let me know if you're interested  to test them , in that case I would send you the .Dat file By PM .
By the way , really impressive to see that famous AlexanderIII bridge is coming out . :thumbsup:

Matt,

Appart for the request for additional piece IDs I asked for in the PM, I think there is also something wrong with the avenue bridge ID you provided me. Depending on the bridge span length, the game either indeed builds my avenue bridge, or it builds a totally different avenue bridge (that I do not recognize, but I think it's a MAXIS bridge, see picture attached).

Overall progress is slow atm... it took forever to figure out how to deal with the multiple pieces of avenue bridges. It turns out that the problem I have experienced for 2 days now was caused by a bridge width property which I forgot to set at 2  :bomb: :bomb: However, it looks like the major problems for this bridge have been solved now. Now all that remains is the tedious solving of graphical glitches starts...  &mmm
And off course I still don't know how to get nightlighting working on T21 props on bridges.

Huh... that's interesting. I've not seen that before, but let me pull up the most recent NAM bridge controller and let me see if I can figure out what that ID is currently linked to. It a busy weekend ahead, but I hope to get back to you within a day or two.

That resembles the partly finished and never activated Avenue Cable-Stayed bridge by Maxis that Choco finished and re-activated (It was included in NAM 29).
I think Choco made a beam Bridge with the appropriate pieces too, but I'd have to go through the thread and I don't really know why you'd be seeing it, not that I'm any kind of expert on SC4 bridges.

Well, it was about what I thought (yeah, I went ahead and looked into it tonight). The main way you get other pieces appearing in your bridge is that you use a piece ID that is already in use. A while back choco made some adjustments to the bridge controller file to make what looks like RHW bridges.
; RHW4 steel girder bridge .cho. 07/09 Dirt Road Bridge
;901 = 0x33040000, 0xFFFF0000, 0x33370000, 0x0000000F
902 = 0x33050000, 0xFFFFF000, 0x33370000, 0x0000000F
903 = 0x33060000, 0xFFFF0000, 0x33370000, 0x0000000F
;904 = 0x33070000, 0xFFFF0000, 0x33370000, 0x0000000F

As a result, it looks like I gave you some IDs already in use. It's going to take me a bit to go through it all (mainly making sure where the unused IDs are, which means running through the ini (at least my list will be current when I'm done). Anyway, hopefully within a few days. Sorry about the confusion and delay.

I managed to get the night lights working for the tower bridge. After 20 different ways of trying to get it done I finally ended up merging 3ds files in the reader. This was the only way to get it done as T21 apparently don't support night lighting on properties.

There is still an issue with the support/center piece which doesn't show up in some zooms/orientation. I won't be able to fix this since I have tried everything I could think of. The only thing I can think of it that it has to do with an ID conflict (which I don't know how to test). Matt, are you sure 0x30380000 was free for me to use?

Alex

Pont Alexandre III is now on the BSC private lex for scrutineering. I just need to add T21 with night lights for the road.

Here's an in game screenshot.

Improvements on the nightlights. Now includes T21 nightlighting (uniform street lighting + customized globes).

***EDIT***: I posted a more recent version in the SC4D Bridge Engineering Dept - Bridge ID Inventory  ****

On a technical side, before I can releasing I need confirmation by Matt (or Tarkus) on the IDs I'm using. As soon as I have confirmation I can start releasing the bridges.

Here is the list I'm using (and the ones that Matt has reserved for me for future bridges). Matt (I also sent you a PM): I hope you can confirm these IDs are free. I do think there are some conflicts because of the aforementioned  behavior of some bridges in the game. Solving these will take a lot of time  :'(  so I hope there are not too many conflicts.
