Title: .ini files
Post by: Sorengaard on September 21, 2008, 01:19:48 AM
Hi all,

I am curious as to whenever I run DatPacker it lists "non-SC4 files" which have a suffix of .ini.  However there are no such files.  I was just wondering what they were, how DatPacker finds them, should they be deleted and if so how, since I can't find them?  The program works fine.  I may be wrong but the latest version seems to run slower than before is this so and if so is it because it is doing a better job than before?  Thanks,  Steve

The SC4 Startup Manager (SUM) places hidden desktop.ini files in every folder inside your plugins folder. They are needed for identifying them in the profiles (i. e. if you have several folders that have the same name). Do not delete them if you still want to use the SUM! For DatPacked files and folders, they are not needed, though.
