Here is a new project of mine. Something I have had my eyes on for some time, ever since it was moved to make room for a ferry terminal.
Frihavnen Staion:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FFrihavnenStation%2F1025-21-Frihavn-st-261069rs.jpg&hash=3ffbc19472ed49a5ee78893d06a47ff7c541b32e)
Here is how far I got so far:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FFrihavnenStation%2FKBHFHSr03b.jpg&hash=d2508be45e2ace7ee2b14380d9ee9fbf399e69dc)
Today it's places in a new devolved area with residential and offices and works as a cafe.
Here is an update:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FFrihavnenStation%2FFHSr04.jpg&hash=8ea0abae7a784c092d2294d534f2eb0b292c59ed)
Still a lot to do on this one, but it's starting to take shape.
Hi Vester,
Good work and choice of building. Looks like it is pretty close to the real thing. also, it should be very versatile in terms of usability ingame.
IRL I pass by this area often, and I like that this building is being preserved in the midst of all those new (some of them soulless) buildings there. If its being preserved IRL, then why not in SC4 too ;)
Looking great already, Arne! The recreation looks really good and I'm looking forward to another freight station :D
Looks great so far.
I am glad you like my work.

As you can see, I am trying out different textures for the walls.
Wow looks absolutely superb Arne.
Considering what you first showed me and now we have this - it looks amazing.
Really looking forward to having this in my plugins
Derry
edit:
Really like the texturing on the stairs, very nice detailing indeed.
Thanks Derry.

Looks really good ingame!
Wow, great station &apls &apls
Here is a small command post by the same architect as both Frihavnens Station and Østerport Station (Eastgate): Heinrich Wenck (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fda.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FHeinrich_Wenck&sl=da&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8).
As you can see he has a long list of stations on his c.v.

Hey,very nice job!Your stations are great, and this command post wouldn't be different
I have a request to you ::) .Could you make a maintanence center for the GLR?If you dont know what im saying, its the place where they fix the broken trains, change trains,do maintenance stuff...anyway,i hope you continue your impressive job.
Did a GLR-depot!

VDK Swan Mill Tramdepot. (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=332)
Does that count ? There is a maintenance center in the corner.
Might need to do an update of it for the new shorter trains.
Hum...that looks interesting, yes it counts  .And updates are always welcome
Enjoy your bat and nice attention to detail.. I'd forgotten in our (US) old rail stations (hardly see one anymore.. they are handled in private transfers now as they rarely are moved to trucks first as they used to be) that the doors were always GREEN.. especially all freight doors.. brought back memories that are over 50 years old. :) That station could just as easily be spotted repeatedly in Smalltown USA along the many miles of rails. In the US rail stations would also frequently be built "on a pattern" so you'd see the same station many times with little more changed than the station's name.
Almost all the numerous stations were wooden rather than brick.. you'd see a brick one sometimes near larger, older towns.
I really like your work, which is awesome. Very good BAT, what we can find in north of France too.
I wait for the lotting but it seems to be excellent ;)
Well the station was turned over to TheTeaCat, but he had a bike crash.
Hope soon to get this one out.
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FFrihavnenStation%2FKCPv12.jpg&hash=e446cfadf94483e4d8d497672e79e51e3b2cc4f0)
Have added some stairs to it.

Subway / stairs.
Arne, I thought I posted this last night, but found it saved on the desktop this morning. That's what I get for trying to post in my sleep!
Your workmanship is superb as always. I never cease to be amazed at the masterful architecture, though. We would never see a unique structure like that here - everything is built cheap and fast.
I hope this one will be available soon.
Yup! Classic signalbox design here in Europe. Very nice, sir, I'm eagerly awaiting.
Wonderful BAT, it looks very real and you put some nice textures on it.
I guess this is a good thread to post this in:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FCPHMetro%2FLindevangGLRv03.jpg&hash=1d5f36692ccc9a4e8d473bad17fa0370e7292a9c)
Revisiting the Lindevang Station, orignal released as a EL-station, now as a GLR-station.
Remodeled the station over and added some new details which wasn't in the original EL-station:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FCPHMetro%2FLindevang03PerE.jpg&hash=5913041a9bcaac1567a6babd337e166750a69b77)
Still need to model the glas roof. Well I am hoping the glass roof from the EL-station could be reused.
Models looks really good,
I am just asking if the length of the plateform is not a little bit small for hosting 4 or 5 GLR carriages
What would be a good lenght ?
5-6-7 tiles ?
A XL-version of the station:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FCPHMetro%2FLinidevangGLRXL04e.jpg&hash=74ba82a9065817539c34c5dc5b1f6559d88d992b)
The platform is now 58 meters, not included the area in the end with the screens on. Could get 2-4 meters extra there.
Last one is perfect
Even if the plateform is longer than the GLR it's not a problem but controversely it's really odd ()stsfd()
Time for doing lods:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FCPHMetro%2FLinidevangGLRXL05-2.jpg&hash=94bc33b4607a7815c93bb4d1b3586f470e7b764c)

Splendid, what can I say more? &apls
Great GLR station! &apls I agree with Giraffe on the length.
I can only agree; it looks really good. Lindevang is without a doubt my favourite metro station. As for length of the platform, both the Copenhagen Metro and the Dublin Luas use 40 metres long trains; using the Luas Citadis stock as a measure, it seems that most trams are between 30 and 43 metres. The Wiki article on the Combino mentions Budapest's 54 metres long trams as a "world record".
Started working on a new station:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FRail%2FHareskoven4.jpg&hash=daa1e13dc1ccdb27f4fba98f0148c235bf9fc4c9)
The old Hareskoven Station (torn down).
Still a lot of small details to add.
Mycket fina stationer :)
Good looking stations :)
Takker, megasmølf ;)
TY, metasmurf.
Time to do some lods:

Here is the night lights:

Looks great!
Though, i'm not quite sure about the lighting of the sign. I mean, are you sure it can make the lights go behind it and thus make the shadow of the wall behind ?
Maybe its a bit to strong. The light does't come from in-side the sign. That is just a plate of painted wood with a lamp above (http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e242/vester_DK/BATs/Rail/120-417I01Hareskov161969.jpg).
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FRail%2FHareskoven8se.jpg&hash=6dca38f7879e25efc1884269c0cdce76698a439a)
Better ?
Yes! Definitely better!
Here is another station, next one out the rail line:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi40.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe242%2Fvester_DK%2FBATs%2FRail%2FVaerloese3n.jpg&hash=ade6c2ab666d701f36babc9d668304e018371598)

Also done a platform for Hareskoven Station:

Definitely great!
Nice nice work, expecting ;D
Looks very nice indeed
Cough, cough, cough....
Where did all that dust came from ?
Started revisiting some of the old work. Here is the first:

Oh, looks great ;D &apls
It's great to see you getting back to work on some of these rail projects. I always liked Hareskoven Station, too.
Thank you both.
Hareskoven Station is in the pipeline as well.

The night lighting is beautifully done, especially the lighted stairs. But I happen to know you're an expert at lighting stairways. :)
Looks like the scripts are working OK
Nice little model and the fact it fits in a wide curve makes it even better!

better. Curved platforms can never be good ;)
Beautiful building, though!
Really looking forward to some FARR stations ;-)Cheers

Ah nitpicking, what's not to like?! :D
Guess you're right technically, though imho wide curve station
is better than an orthogonal station as far as sc4 is concerned.
Anyhow, speaking of curved platforms reminded me I'll be visiting here tomorrow. ;)
