In the old days you could stumble on signs like: Walking on the grass is strictly prohibited.

Nowadays the signs is a bit different:

This is good. Why have parks with grass if people can not lie on it?

Well, need to say that this is taken in the botanical garden.

No no, you'll still be fined if you lay down, only sitting is accepted.  $%Grinno$%

Cool pictures, the last two from Blue Planet are so strange yet beatiful, they really capture the imagination. &apls
time flies like a bird
fruit flies like a banana

Stunning as usual. I'd love to visit a botanical garden like that, but we don't have one around here. In fact, we have nothing like you have in your lovely country, so I must be content to look at your beautiful photos.

vester

Thank you both.

Just two pictures of some white flowers from the Botanical Garden:

Jmouse

Nice. Do you know what kind of flower they are? They look rather like day lilies.

vester

No idea, but I could go and have a look for a sign.
Didn't noticed any last time, but 3 years ago they did have.
The have been renovating the garden the last 2 years.

Jmouse

That sounds like a good plan. And while you're there, you could "accidentally" take some more pictures. &idea

Nice pix!

Our botanical garden is also next to the old hospital. It was first designed to provide herbs for the hospital. That true over there as well?

Cheers

Well this is the 4th botanical garden. Both the garden and the hospital is placed on the old rampage area.
The first was established in 1600. Garden is part of the Copenhagen University and have been part of it since the beginning.

Isn't really weather to take pictures today, especially of flowers.

Here is a two of the City Hall:

That is a city watchman and an icebear. Not we have it in Copenhagen, but Greenland is under the Danish Crown.
"Give ear, give ear !!! All is well, the city is still standing."

Jmouse

I've seen this building before, and it's one of my favorites. It's interesting to learn a bit of the history behind the intricate extras that decorate the structure.

... and you have just seen a very small part of them.

Arghh. This building has so many details!

Going up...

If you could spin your head back on, we will continue...

The man with the saw. The craftsmen and the architect that builded the city hall, is sculptured on one of the staircase all the way up.

Next to the stair case.

(1st floor, well in English that would be 2nd floor.)

Over an archway in a wall.

Last swin of the day at the Beach Park:

Returning from the beach a sunset over the city skyline.

Ended up had to walk back home from there. My bike had a flat :P
Approx 4.5 km on foot.

Jmouse

Beautiful sunset. I just might have to borrow that sky later on.

Flatron

Looks great, but is the water really warm enough to swim? ;D
