Thats some fast growth going on there! The city reminds me a bit of South Beach when I used to live in Miami. Great stuff.

Travis: The coves took some careful terraforming and a gentle hand to get right. Thanks!
nedalezz: I wasn't intentionally trying to make it look like the Miami area, but now that I step back and look at it, it kinda does!
squidi: Thanks, my friend!
suplado!: Ah, good to see you following over here, too! I know it's nothing you haven't seen before, but thanks for commenting!

Update 5- The Ever-Changing Skyline
Sorry about my extended absence; RL is a force to be reckoned with! Let's continue with our showcase of Jeylin City.

Another skyscraper is set to rise from this site along Ocean Avenue,

Watch how this tower takes shape. First, the early construction days...

The skeleton of the building is clearly defined here.

The finished product, a fine addition to the waterfront skyline!

The final, fateful night for this once prominent casino/hotel. Because, the next day...

Implosion! The site will be cleared for the next huge project in Jeylin City called...

The Project. (LOL!)

An updated overview of the city.

Very interesting MD.  I like how you did the construction pics and the last pic looks very good as well.

Great pictures of the construction there, Dan!

And wonderful tutorial!!

Haljackey

Nice to see a familiar face here.  Nice job as always, dsrwhat316.

Every time I look at that GLR underpass, I am fascinated. Great work!

Best,

rooker1: Thanks! You'll be seeing a LOT of construction pics in this update!
bat: Thanks, and I'm glad you liked the tutorial!
Haljackey: Ditto to you! I never thought that when I first made that pic that it would cause such a stir!

Update 6- Filling the Void
Hmm... pretty self-explanatory with the title  ;D

Here's a shot of a familiar construction site along Ocean Avenue.

Ah, the completed building! A new hotel for the boardwalk.

The hotel at night.

Here we have a new addition to the coastline of Jeylin City: simply known as The Resort. The next few pics are of this new area.

Onto yet another construction site. This one is along Jeylin Boulevard. Now let's see it completed...

A new condominium building has been built!
Budget issues halted the construction of the second building, but with the new revenue from the new condo tenants, work has begun!

The next update will be the conclusion of Jeylin City. Until next time...

Beautiful city! I noticed you had an MD and since you were so helpful I thought I'd check it out. Always good to see a player with a very different style than your own, you can find ideas to steal borrow.
The most astounding and unique aspect of the human race is our fervent application of our ingenuity to kill each other, thus completely defying the near-universally proven fact that the ultimate goal of a member of a species is to ensure the survival of the species.

bat

"The Resort"-area is looking really nice, Dan! And great day and night pictures of the hotel!

Another very interesting update.  Everything looks great, but I'm not too big on those colourful night lights on those palm trees in the thrid last pic, although they do seem to fit the way you have used them.   &apls

Nice new tutorial there!
And looking forward to more...

flame1396: So the old saying is true: give a little, get a little. Thanks for dropping by, and you have my permission to borrow steal.
bat (1st reply): Many thanks, my friend!
rooker1: Those palms fit in with my theme of a Las Vegas-type town with hints of Atlantic City, put in a tropical climate (if that makes sense!). Thanks for the comment!
bat (2nd reply):Thanks, I try to help others out when I can. I might have one or two more tutorials in me!

Update 7- The Dust has Settled
The final update for Jeylin City is now upon us! Let's go out with a bang...

New resort towers have sprung up at The Resort.

Same area at night.

The second building of this condo complex has been completed.

We'll take a look at how The Project is doing. Here it is, still under construction...

...and now completed! The final addition to Jeylin City's skyline is now ready for business.

A new waterfront stadium has been completed as well.

The new ballpark and The Resort.

The final city overviews.

Jeylin City is now completed! I'll have a brief update for one of the suburbs of the Capital City of Bevelle, Camden, next time. Until then...

Awesome baseball stadium. Is it MLB or AAA? Just curious. Rest of the city looks great. Later.
Best movie of all time: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. If you disagree, Cameron will send your car over a cliff.

Please, call me Leo.  I quote John Lennon now, a great musician and philosopher. Particularly, one of his songs: You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one. I hope someday you join us, and the world will live as one.

Godzillaman

Gah...only page two here? Man....set your priorities...:P
"With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound he pulls the spitting high-tension wires down..."

Your skyline looks fantastic, my friend! Keep up the good work!

bat

That are some great new pictures of Jeylin City there, Dan!
Wonderful work on that area! And fantastic night shots!

dsrwhat316

TopCliff: It is meant to be used as a AAA stadium, but since my country is not vastly populated, I use it for the pro teams.
Godzillaman: LOL, yeah, I have been neglecting this MD here, haven't I? I'm on page 20 over on Simtropolis, but only page 2 here. That'll soon change...
thundercrack83: Thanks, man! Glad to see you back here.
bat: Many thanks, my friend!

Update 8- The Porthole of the World
I've decided to skip Camden for now, and go right for the heart of industry in Bevelle; the Port at Darrington.

The most effective and cheapest way of transporting goods inland is by rail, evident here with massive railyards near the port.

The newest addition to the port, used to import/export grain.

The oil port imports and refines oil from Bevelle's Adrian Union partner, Jargeah.

Tug boats are needed for the bigger cargo ships to navigate the waters of the port.

The older parts of the port are preserved as a sort of "maritime museum", showcasing the early days of Bevelle's seafaring nature.

The hillside terraces overlook the bay and has distant views of Jeylin City's skyline out in the distance, located only 20 miles away.

Well, I'll leave you with these pics for now; don't want to give it all away at once! Stay tuned for more...
