Im learning to speak German here at home through a sell teaching courses of books, videos, cd's etc so I still try to speak German like I think in English so it looks like bad translator service. Ssssshhhhh, Plus I still have to look up many words in my study books to find how they are written. Sssshhh don't tell anybody. :P

I think you have a very promising MD going here, Andy2k.
That's an impressive mosaic in which you show off your skill with pathways and trails. Also I like the way you've laid out the neighborhoods -- the streets have enough curves to provide variety, but the layout is not outrageous (like mine tend to be! :D ).
You've made good use of PEG's wonderful streams, and created some very attractive park areas. Overall, Sinburg looks like a very pleasant place to be.
I would offer but one suggestion and that is to number your photos in some way so readers can comment on them individually. My good friend Paul (paroch) uses a system which works very well IMO. 01.05 refers to the fifth photo (05) in the first update (01) and so on -- I think he's up in the 20s by now. You can certainly get along without numbers, but as your updates get more numerous and complex, you and your readers might come to appreciate them more.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Sinburg in the days and weeks to come.

The overview (5.1) is great - a large inland lake is something I have not often seen, but it adds a very pleasing touch to the landscape. And anyone who knows me will tell you I like overviews!
The mosaic (5.4) is massive, and it shows a good variety of residential BATs and small commercial buildings. I noticed you have a lot of dead-end streets and would encourage you to take a look at the cul-de-sac mod here (http://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?p=details&id=379). Also, if you have the NAM, you can create street roundabouts. Of course, these elements may not fit in with your master plan, so this is just a little suggestion.
I like the way the road passes under the rail toward the end of the mosaic. I will leave comments on the rail junction to those much more experienced, though.
Buchholz looks interesting, so I'm looking forward to seeing it. And thanks for the numbers! Hope the idea works well for you. ;)

You are doing some great work on Sinburg, Andy. The city is growing at a good pace, and I see you have some nice BATs in your plugin folder.
I like the way you've surrounded the football pitch with curved pathways and provided a parking area. The transport layout in 6.9 looks good. The way that road dips down in front of the retaining wall reminds me a bit of the work I see in another MD I visit often. What is the population now, and how old is the city?
Over all I think you're doing a fine job. You present your work in a neat and orderly way (love the picture frames!), and it's clear that you do a lot of planing before posting. Keep it up! :thumbsup:

The Population in Waldesnau & Buchholz is 124.000
But the 2 districts are not done (Buchholz 1/4 - Waldesnau 3/4)
I can´t make specifics Dates, then 1 District is not 1 Area in the Region. Waldesnau is Build on 4 Areas .. and on the Areas are also other Districts.

Paul (paroch) pointed out a couple of really nice highlights, Andy, but I'm kind of partial to 7.3. Guess it's the flowers and park - you did a good job on laying out those paths! :) Also I like the green areas in 7.1. And you have, indeed, made good use of the ped tiles and retaining walls. That ornate building in 7.5 (on the left just above center) looks a bit out of place to me, but that may just be the differences in our visual experiences. It is a lovely BAT, BTW.
I'd say you've posted another well-crafted and well-planned update, and I look forward to seeing more and more of Sinburg.

Glad you're back, Andy! Nice combination of BATs in 8.1 - a scene I'm learning is rather typical of European neighborhood layouts. Like the canals as well - here I think they're more likely to be called "irrigation ditches," but "canals" sound so much better! ;)
The green spaces and park-like atmosphere in the next few photos looks great, and that corner park in 8.4 is very clever. I'm assuming 8.6 is a commercial area - sorry, I'm not good at recognizing BATs ::) - but whether or not, the buildings look good together and you've placed them in a nice setting. So, now I'm anxious to see more of Sinburg.

Well. I am very glad that I decided to check your diary out. I enjoyed looking at every picture. You have a very diverse plugin folder with a lot of custom content. Your aerial views are intereting because you spent time creating a non grid country side. You've done some creative things with ponds and canals. A good variety of pictures too. Some look like typical American suburbs, some look very European. You've mixed rural country side and bustling downtown districts. It made my time here enjoyable.

Hey - good to see Sinburg back and alive. You have shown great updates, and the region view is very nice: i like how the city sprawls on just one side of the rivier, with low density stuff and farm on the other side of it :thumbsup:

Another fantastic update. I like the parks in your city alot, but in some places I think you used too many walls. Maybe in certain places you could just place some trees to hide the slope. ;) But just a tought though.
I can't wait to see what you have done in the way fo a seaport.

You're doing a find job of developing Sinburg, Andy. The canal in 9.2 looks good, and I like the umbrellas you've used beside the water - nice place for workers to have lunch! The ped tiles in 9.3 and 9.4 work well with the parklike areas surrounding them, and T.1 and T.2 look very nice. Looking forward to seeing how you put your seaport together.

Great work on that update there.
9.1 has some interesting height differences in it, I really like the way the rail bridge works.
9.2 the canals - did you know how much I like canals? I love the little island with the outdoor cafes. Not sure if you've seen West End recently, but I have a few similar spots there.
9.3 & 9.4 that park is very simple but VERY effective. And nice choice of bats around it.
9.5 would be fun on a skatebaord!
The tourist pics look good (although have you tried the tennis courts with fences? can you imagine how long you'd spend chasing after balls)
And the mosaics are very good indeed. In fact I can imagine them as postcard for tourists to Sinburg to send home.

As for Sinburg, what an excellent Diary! Well built cities with lots of green space between developments, as cities should be. With the four-image mosaic, perhaps each one should be zoom-level-specific if you know what I mean - having different scales within one mosaic could become distracting.

Hi Andy! I see you've been hard at work on Sinburg, and it's been time well spent. 10.2 is especially appealing with that little park/garden by the water. You've done some nice PSing on the mosaic (10.5) - and the city must be doing a huge tourism business to rate a fancy building like that! :D
Those apartment buildings in 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8 create a sense of hopeless overcrowding which is a bit grim but very realistic. I've seen such sights before. Also I love Mum's Diner crammed in amongst the industrial structures. With a railroad so close by, a passing train would make the coffee cups rattle in their saucers. But what the heck, it's a small price to pay for the best burger in town!
I understand what you mean by, "...so much has changed. Sinburg are so big now!" Development in all areas is coming along well, and I hope to see more in the future.

Plainly wonderful, I really like the suburbanite setting and the nice creek in between the housing makes the picture even better. The overpass over the railroad looks really nice as well. Great work!

Hi Andy. It's always a pleasure to see a new Sinburg update! I'm not sure what the stats mean, but I'm sure you'll make it clear later on.
Looks like you've been working on neighborhoods lately, and you're doing a good job on them. Schools are hard (for me) to lay out - I never can get them to look right. You've created some nice big campuses, though, with plenty of recreational areas. The neighborhoods look good, too. One of the first things to catch my eye was the bridge over the rail lines in 11.6. Good idea and very effective.
What BAT did you use in 11.7? Don't recall seeing it before, so I'm going to guess you made it yourself. And that looks like a city college campus in 11.8. You must have some pretty well-educated Sims by now!
And we definitely have a date at Mum's Diner - see you there...

Images really very beautiful, that which I appreciate more is the last, I like much how you have to organize the space around the hospital and of the school .
Great set of stats and my favourite pictures are 11.6 and 11.7. The bridge over the rail lines is perfect and I just like Jeroni's BATs alot. ;)

You did a wonderful job here Andy2K. I love the way you present your picks. How did you get texture to go under the bridge like you demonstrate in pick 6.8?
You've really been hard at work on your waterfront and industrial areas, Andy! And "The (RL) inspiration" shown in 12.14 really brings it all to life. Now you have me wondering if those containers look like boxes of crayons because they're color coded, or is it just a coincidence! And those blue cranes in 12.16 - did you make those yourself?
Your industrial district(s) look really good. I like the open spaces for loading and parking which give it a striking sense of realism. I looked at the larger view of 12.24, and I like the way you arranged the loading area in the center. Employee parking is separated from it by a fence, and there is a separate entrance for large trucks. I can't say I would have thought of that small but important detail - good work!
Looking forward to more of the same...

Andy, this is probably the best container terminal ever seen in the game. Only when I reread the update for the 2nd time I noticed that there are some RL satelite images in there... they fit so well within your game-made pictures that I just took it for granted that you shot them as well in SC4.... Jawdropping gorgeous!

First a bad News: My PC is crashed and my Seaport is to 1/3 away :(
I make backups, but the last Backup is to Old, for the complete Seaport.
In the next Time i build the last 1/3 of the Seaport new and then I make a special Update to show the rest of it ;)
Now we go foward to the next Update. We go to the District "Zentrum" = the Central City
At the next Updates we see the Central Station, pedestrian Zones, and many more ;)
