One day Mayor Tom got a call from the Governor that he needed him to build a major highway and railroad through the Grand River Valley. After a lot of discussion, Mayor Tom and the transport committee decided on a plan:

It was decided that highway 10 and the railroad should be fairly straight, and avoid the centers of future towns so there is smoother traffic flow for international traffic. This route was also cheapest because it had the least amount of bridges out of all the options.

Even though most towns won't be directly on highway 10, the future town of Agria (tile H) is going to be built with the highway as the main road through town:

Now that you posted your pictures, you are not allowed to change anything anymore. We made copies and judge the originals only.

We also will not make any comments in this thread besides the judging once it is finished by Wednesday next week, but we will make useful and friendly comments in your regular thread of GRV. Points will be given 3 to 4 days after the challenge is finished and will be posted in the Pointage Sheet.
Also your points only, together with an explanation and comments why we gave you these points, will be posted here at the end of this challenge.

Can we have a picture each of Citytile A and M in Mayormode in view 1 please? Thanks

Hmm, simple and straightforward. I like it!

First of all let us congratulate You. You have made it through the first Mayor's test.
On the picture below, circles with letters will indicate what was importantin your region for this challenge. If we say we don't like or we like, it doesn't mean that it's the same for others. We are judging to our lknowledge and what would be the most logical thing to do in our opinion, remember this.

No need to go into details here. Although the rails could have been shorter, while starting and ending elsewhere, this presentation of the challenge is hard to beat. Lynn and I came to an agreement to give you 9 points, probably one of the highest score in this challenge. This is well thought, simple, effective and fitted right into a responsable Mayor's budget. Excellent work. Congratulations and good luck with Challenge 2.

Lynn and Fred
