After losing much of their industry in South Lester the Lester family decided to start over again.  But in order to set up their industries they needed some utilities.  Many thought they would head straight for the polluting coal power or maybe the dangerous nuclear generators and were pleasantly surprised when wind power was tabled.

Unfortunately many of the people didn't look to closely at the plans for the wind farm as they were so excited about the 'green' power generation that would power their nation and preserve their natural scenery.  You can imagine their dismay when the first trucks rolled in with the giant towers and the dozers began leveling the land around the bases for the erection of the towers.

A close up of the main plant shows the scars along the landscape from construction.  We are told that the area will be restored and you'll hardly notice the turbines but few believe them.

Next in their sights was water supply.  Fortunately (for the region at least, the Lester family may disagree) Newman Inc beat them to it and build a small wee supply at the Forks of Border River.    Pipes were laid to the neighbouring city and down to the river to draw the water.

Being the sensitive firm they are planting was carried out to hide the plant from the small workers settlement.  There were plans to provide some small commercial services for the workers but plans were scuppered by the Guv'ner who said Housing only!

Finally, with the blessing of the Guv, the residents of Cheviot were able connect by road to the rest of the region.  Route 2 was planned and executed following the line of the rail that ran through the city.  Fortunately the roading engineers were smarter than the rail engineers and managed to avoid the 'finger prints' of the rail line.

Your challenge 2 is well done according to the rules and the demands. You can now play on 2 more citytiles anywhere in your region. This will be a part of challenge 3. Make sure that you have at least 100 citizens in all three tiles you played in (no population max limit).

Sorry Fred, can you just clarify for me... is that at least 100 people in each of the 3 tiles (total 300?) or 100 total?

soulchaser

It's 100 in each tile, if I remember it the right way.

Judgement of Challenge 2

A.   Unusual planning of the new route but giving a lot of access to the middle region. We gave you 4 points for the route challenge.
B.  Excellent choice of energy, wind power is clean and always appreciated by the  Governor. The location and arrangements of the turbines are well thought. We gave you 4 points for the power challenge.
C.  Very good location for the waterplant, although looking a little big for 15K to 25K population, we gave you 4 points for the water challenge.

A Total of 12 Points were added to your challenge.

Congratulations, quite well done. We really like the locations of the windturbines. Good luck with the next challenge.

Lynn and Fred

Edit: An error was found in the calculation of the total points, it has been corrected. Sorry 'bout this.
