Hey guys, this is my cj from over at Simtropolis!
Ill start with my latest update, the city of Smyros.
It is the poor city of my nation. Soon I will also post pictures from my other updates.

Smyros is the third largest city in Georgiapolis. It is located on a coastal peninsular 345km north of Georgiapolis City. It has a climate of warm to hot summers with cool to cold winters. The city is currently experiencing a summer heat wave as is most of Georgiapolis.
The city has the highest Islamic concentration in Georgiapolis with approximately 12% of residence claiming Islamic heritage. The city is also one of the poorest in Georgiapolis and with very little history after being built along with the discovery of gold mines in the 1910's. Since then, the city has been the place for refugees of Barbary Coast to settle down and make a new living. This large proportion of immigrants has made this city one with a very low standard income.
Crime is not high here however it is slightly above the average of Georgiapolis.
Today we will showcase to you the part of the city with the biggest Muslim population where some 80,000 Muslim people work whilst practising their religion each day. They represent 48% of the suburbs population and work mainly in the factories to the west of the city. The area also plays home to the largest mosque in Georgiapolis and is one of only 8 operating in the country.

Smyros is my latest city. It was made to be a little lower class and realistic.

Salonique is an inland city in the north of Georgiapolis.
It is located 120km away from Smyros, the third largest city in Georgiapolis.
Salonique is a unique city because it is the only city in Georgiapolis to have a distinctive architectural style similar to that seen in parts of Europe.
The city has a population of 92,000 people and is home to the most prestigious educational institution in the nation, Kalamatonian University of Salonique.
It also has another university which makes this city a young and vibrant place to be. In the last census, 48% of participants claim to be between the ages of 18 and 35, the highest population of this age group in the country.
Although the city is very small, it has been influencial throughout history as an educational centre and today the top rated institutions pay homage to that important factor.

This MD is a really great ! The first city has that East Mediteranean , can I say balkanic ?; feeling ! Very nice , Giorgopolis has a "auto-sponteneous" layout that's great and you've find the perfect combination of BATs to get that feeling. For Salonic is a lovely work, love it, get it peculiar feeling with the arrangement of architectures , love the way you've ue W2W !
very nice pics...this is a great start to a MD, although I guess you've been doing this one for awhile over at ST. There is a great euro feel here, I hope you keep it going.

Another ver nice update. It does look very poor with barren ground, nice modd, by the way. Good use of customcontent to acheive the run down look. But the pallace kinda stands out in my opinion as being not so poor, if that makes any sense. At any rate, great pics.

Founded at the foot of mythical Mt. Olympia, this modern port city is one of the most affluent in the nation.
It is the most pure city in the nation with a 98% of the population claiming Hellenic-Georgian descent (compared to 91% in Kypakos and 83% in Yiannopolis).
The city has a cool climate in the summer and cold, wet climate in the winter. Summers can still reach as high as 36C, especially in the August months but generally the temperature is pleasantly in the mid 20's.

Giorgos, very interesting pics, I really like them. I can't put my finger on what it is exactly, but I like them. They seem very realistic. All the buildings are similar in height, nicely spaced apart and very good choice of custom content.

I love your use of Photoshop (I assume $%Grinno$%) to create the sort of depressing, sepia effects on one update then the next time around you create bright, colorful images. Both effects pull me in and give life to your pictures. The old photographs are also amazing.

Excelent work, very realistic and beautiful city center. I have reservations for w2w buildings - often it end with a blank wall. You've got wonderful diagonal street.

I have produced this update in the hope of promoting awareness of the devastating forest fires that have destroyed half of Greece and that have killed many people over the past week. I have watched in such horror as Greece has burned, such a terrible thing to watch on TV and the worst part is these fires did not start naturally, such a disgrace and showing a total lack of respect for ones nation as well as murder. Terrible indeed.

But now I have the bad news...the village town of Asproli which you saw surrounded by flames has now been caught on fire. Unfortunately there was wind blowing in the direction of the town and the towns 19th century hotel and a new house has caught on fire.

It looks like there is not much stopping this fire and the townspeople have gathered in the church for saviour.
We appreciate the aid from Atlantis and all other nations. ()sad()

As for the fires in Georgiapolis, Qumma would love to send help your way, but we are too poor a nation :(

WoW ive missed a few updates here, The PS of the flames are awsome!!!! The nation of Castia is willing to
send aid in rebuilding and brand new equipment for fire fighting, along with some airsupport to contain the

Sanctuary of Heron archaeological site under threat!
The Sanctuary of Heron archaeological site which was one of the first ever SWESCO Heritage sites has caught on fire after several days of being surrounded by flames. The site caught ablaze early this morning while aerial and ground fire crews have tried desperately to protect the 3000 year old site from further destruction.
The sites automated emergency sprinklers are active but authorities say they are not doing much to save the century old ruins.

i have never seen anyone tie RL events to SC so perfectly. The photoshopping is just stunning. is there a tutorial somewhere? this morning i was try to make fire in photoshop but it came out more like ice lol. I also love how you had the fire plane in there.

Great and strict choice of BATs , realistic city planning (for an euro feeling) .You know what you want and we are seeing your precise vision . Having myself tried some of these mixes of BATs , I know that without your photoshop skill , they shouldn't fit so well . I should try again ...

i don't think simcity fires were like that so you must have made them up for a great effect. i think some people would wish that it would be made into a working modd.

You created a great atmosphere here - cities layout, the couple of buildings, very good photoshopping - everything is in harmony. It isn't easy to do!
As for the last fires - it's a great tragedy, I think especially about these people who worked hard all their life and loved their houses, farms and gardens and they lost it all.I wish them to receive a necessary help and rebuild everything in an even better shape :thumbsup:

The flag carrier airline of Georgiapolis, Ionic Air has just re launched itself after years of financial difficulties.
I first created this airline in October 2006 so its almost been a year! Here is the new livery which will be seen in-game very soon!

Very nice pictures of Smyros, Giorgos, poly omorphia One building in particular has drawn my attention: the one in the last picture, just left to end of the canal. It seems to grow very frequent in your cities. It fits very well in Greek cities! What building is that?
It is one of the middle eastern buildings from frogface. :D
