Title: Dependency List - Update 11/07/07
Post by: Diggis on July 04, 2007, 06:10:31 AM
This is an update to the list that was previously released on the STEX.  It lists all the available (read, that I could find  :P) Prop, texture and essential files that are on STEX, BSCLEX and PLEX, plus any others that I personally have downloaded.

If there are files that you find are missing please let me know and I will add them to it.

Files with an MMP beside them have been Merged into a Mega Pack.  Clicking the MMP will take you to the pack, but clicking the link will also take you to the latest available version.

Please post any issues here and I will keep this file updated as often as possible, hopefully about once a week.

Please note that you must be a member of any of the sites that are links to access the downloads.

Edit: Updated List: 11 July 07 - Fixed Links 16th July

Diggis, until you have sorted out any other format with Colyn, would you like me to post it to the LEX for you?

I am sure a lot of people could benefit from your work - but they are not reading this forum, for whatever reason.  I am sure that if posted in the LEX this would be a big hit (at least for those who read the readme's ;)

For me its posted in the right place. My first location when I enter the site is to first check out the forum and see whats happening then go to the LEX. I just need to express myself more so you fine people know that I do care about what your doing. Its only because of your great work that my experience with all this custom content dowloading and maintaining clean files and data packing, creating readme's when there are none has been a pleasent experience. So again I just need to express gratitude more so that you know people like me are out there. This site has really made my simcity game play dream come to.

I have stickied it so that may help, Diggis.

I put it up here cos I don't have access to the LEX (not much need really) and there may be issues with keeping it current.  But please feel free to put it on the LEX.  The more people see it, the better.  Could you just link them here for any issues with it.

Diggis, what is it created with?  If it was in a format that was convertable to HTML it would be possible to include it as the master dependency list on the LEX, as Goober's one is a bit out of date.

I did notice some files missing, Diggis. I have the following files:  PEG_ Offset-Peeps_PROP.dat; PEG-MTP_RESOURCE-2_b101.dat; PEG_WaterPlants_PROP_205.dat;  PEG_Navy_PROPS_vol1.dat; PEG_Navy_PROPS_vol2.dat. As a result of the way I keep my files I have no idea which upload of Peg's they are in apart from the Navy ones.
Some more investigating for you ;D
It is in pdf format, Cal.

Cal, it's in excell, so can be output to HTML too. I'll email it through to Barby as I have her email, and she can send it on to where it needs to be.

Barby, I realised that I didn't go back and check Pegs site for new stuff so it might be a couple of days till I get the chance to polish it off.  I've also realised I didn't do the textures at ST either.   &mmm

The MTP one is supersceeded I think, and possibly not still available.  I can add the name though.  I think Offset peeps is part of another pack though.  I'll check with the man.

I've updated the file to add some missing textures, and new packs.

Barby, I'll forward you the Excell file for Cal.

()what() ??? I'm confused. diggis said it's in Excel format but the file in the zip file is an Adobe pdf file. I can see where it says the files can be located, but I can't click on the links to go to where the files are located. I thought the locations of the files would be click through. Can anyone shed some light? %confuso

Hmmm, the links are clickable in my file. I'm using Adobe reader 7.0. Maybe it's a security setting?

My apologies.  The file is a PDF, but I created it in Excell.  Cal wanted the Excell to create an online version.

As for not being able to click the links, I'm sorry, I seem to have messed up when I updated it.  I'll fix it this afternoon.  ()sad()

The original version worked OK, so not sure what I did wrong.

Thanks for this.
The links work fine for me except a random few and some SC4D links open to Simtrop, no matter but.
They open in IE and not FF  ::) A bane on you Microsoft imperialism.  ;D
(although its unrelated is there a way of getting them to open in FireFox by default?)

What's your default browser?  The links open in the software assigned as the default, which in your case is probably IE

Could you please let me know what links are broken, or to the wrong site?  As this is a live document, and changing regularly I'd like to get it as accurate as possible.  Obviously I didn't check every link (I do have somewhat of a life) so will have missed some.

Sorry, I was just randomly clicking and a few of those things happened, I'm sure there is not issue with Simtrop and not SC4D aslong as they open for the same file and anyone with specific problems will come back here.

BSC BAT Props BLS Floral Vol 01

Link non-existent

I don't know whether I'm helping or subjecting you to more work.

Helping, most definetly helping.

If you need that file it's part of BSC mega Pack misc, so you can click on the MMP and get the link from the Mega Pack.

But it will be fixed next time.

Wonder if the document can physically be posted on a forum topic? It'd mean one less download. :P

Thanks for this Diggis.

One of my questions was to be about such a list for returning and reinstalling types such as myself.

Kudos.

hmm... i'm presently rebuilding my plugins and encountered the following issues when d/l dependencies:

BSC BAT Props MJB Vol 05           LEX     - the link brings me to a STEX file named Weighbridge
BSC BAT Props MJB Vol 06         LEX     - the link points me to another STEX file named Wildwest Megapack Vol1

I'm just wondering if these are the right files 'cause I really don't like brown boxes.  ()sad()

@DIGGIS, FYI:

BSC BAT Props T1 Vol1 - erroneously linked to BSC MEGA Props - RT Vol02 (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=228 (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=228)) instead of this: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=180 (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=180)

DIGGIS:  I have to say thank you for your hard work on this.  This list will help me out a lot.  I just wish I saw this thread before I posted a topic asking for help looking for a texture pack.  Boy do I feel dumb now. &ops  I guess I should have read more.

Thanks again Bro.
