bat: Firstly, congrats on being our first hero!  &apls Thanks for your continuing support of my MD.

Update 9- The View from Above
This update will wrap up my 2-part series for the Port at Darrington. For those of you who missed the first part, just go back to the last post on the previous page.

This setup was necessary so that passenger train traffic wouldn't be snarled by the many freight trains going in and out of the port railyards.

A couple of bottling plants provide tasty beverages for many parched throats.

A close-up shot of Darrington's small, but quaint downtown.

Here we have Darrington's City Hall.

Some of the apartments shown here reflect on the port's rich history.

And now, for the overviews:

The railyards and the city.

The Naval Base (will be shown in a future update) and the downtown area.

The port itself. Hope ya'll enjoyed this!

bat: Thanks, my friend! That was my first serious attempt at a port, so there is still room for improvement.
squidi: I thank you very much!
warconstruct: Thanks for visiting; hope to see you here again!
Pat: Thanks! I'm glad you like the tutorial; I never thought it would garner this much attention, though....

Update 10: Old School
Here we have the first full update for the Historical City of Dunham

Dunham Central Station is the largest train station in all of Bevelle.

Here we have the theater district.

This is the lower downtown area; locals simply call it "LoDo".

Another shot of LoDo.

A unique feature of the elevated rail system in Dunham.

A real space saver is the elevated rail tracks running directly overhead the road.

Here's a different area around the theater district.

One of my favorite shots in Dunham; the infamous "Ritz Roundabout".

A close-up of the church area.

A lovely park during the fall months.

An overview of the downtown area.

Earth quake: Thanks! I tried to landscape the area around the cathedral to really make it stand.
bat: I love that station; it's so incredibly detailed! Thanks for your comment!
The_Hutt: I was almost against using it, but after placing it in the city, it seemed natural enough for me!
bat: Thanks! That city won't be showcased for a while, so call that a very early teaser!  :P
Schulmanator: Thanks, man! Glad you liked it.

Update 11: Dream Maker
Let's get things rolling again, shall we? Here's more of the Historical City of Dunham.

An upscale neighborhood displaying some of Dunham's finest architecture.

A bevy of stores and apartments in one of Dunham's oldest districts.

Some modern buildings are making their way into Dunham's Financial District.

Now let's take a look at Olympic Park, a possible candidate for the Simlympic Games:

One of the outdoor stadiums in the complex.

Twin tennis stadiums are essential for the Games.

The centerpiece of the complex, Olympic Stadium.

Impeccable landscaping is found surrounding the stadium.

An indoor pool complex for numerous swimming events.

The roundabout at the south entrance of the complex.

A night shot of Olympic Stadium.

A sign of things to come...

Heblem

There are too many details to describe in your wonderful updates, im sorry for not to following your MD before, or not sure if i did before  ;D Even this MD is unique you know why? because you use different styles of buildings, a mix of European and American concept i see here.

I like the area around the stadium and gardens, the avenues and streets shape you made in your city is interesting, also the ditch/canal its interesting tho

Excellent work, keep on

dsrwhat316

Pat: Thanks, Pat; so do I  $%Grinno$%!
bat: Thanks, my friend! Only a couple updates left for it, though...
Heblem: That's exactly right; the purpose of my building style is to try and seamlessly blend new and old. If you like seeing gardens and such, wait till you see my next showcased city!

Update 12: The Air Up There
Now let's tour the newly completed Dunham International Airport! This was my first decent attempt at an airport, so no snickering  &cry2

The main entrance for Terminal 1.

The air traffic control tower is strategically located in the center of the terminal.

The eastern branch of Terminal 1.

The southwestern branch of Terminal 1

Ample parking is provided for those traveling the skies.

The train station that services the airport is located at the top of this hill.

Here's a shot of the smaller Terminal 2, used primarily for private jets and other small aircraft.

The main entrance to Terminal 2.

An overview of Terminal 1.

An overview of Terminal 2.

Hope that wasn't too boring; the final shots of the city will come on the next update. Enjoy!
