Note: Hi I decided to make a journal after a long wait. I can't seem to find the message that somebody sent me a while back about the picture format. So can somebody tell me how to change the picture format again? I don't want somebody getting mad at me for it again.  &ops
Thats part of the reason I stopped updating my last MD. It was because I felt overwhelmed by school and didn't have enough time to figure it out. Then I just forgot about it. When I came back I found that somebody was angry that I wasn't doing it so I just left the MD. I hope that doesn't happen this time.  :(

Category: Liberal Democratic Socialists
Civil Rights: Average
Economy: Reasonable
Political Freedoms: Excellent

The Republic of Levause is a large, safe nation, renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its intelligent population of 11 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and some of the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. The petroleum tax is 15%, GST is 8%, Corporate tax is 20% and the average income tax rate is 35%, but  higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Woodchip Exports, Furniture, Crafts, Fruit, Grain and Basket Weaving industries.

People reciting Shakespeare have become a common sight. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Levause's Main language is French but it also has abit of english and an even smaller amount of German. Levause's national animal is the the humming bird, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Abel.

Hey Daniel,
Interesting start.
Your pictures should be jpg and you can do this with several programs out there.  I use IrfanView, it's a free down loadable program and it has some basic photoshopping tools as well.  If you have any other questions feel free to PM myslef or any other staff member.
I look forward to seeing more of this city of yours.

Robin

Bonjour, I am Sylvain Foucher and I just moved to Delphi. I came here to enrol in the Delphi Arts Institute. I am taking The graphic arts diploma Course. We mainly are designing posters and advertisements on the computer and then printing them out.

I have just moved into my apartment 2 day's ago. It was small but I have decorated it with my paintings and moved my furniture in. My Parents helped pay for some of the furniture and appliances, but the rest is from what I earn from working at Ruby Tuesday as a waiter.

It is nice that the state pays for all of my education so that I don't have to work full time while studying to afford all of this. I can even out my study time and recreation now because I can work part time. Personally I am quite content with my apartment and I enjoy having a cafe and Bakery near by. I especially enjoy the Australian latte.

Signed,

Sylvain Faucher

Cluu96: Yes but I manipulated some of the statistics a little.
metasmurf: Thanks.
rooker: Ok well I tried downloading it and it apparently its not compatible with my MAC so next time I log onto my windows side I'll download it. As of right now I'm tiered and I just don't have time so I'll try it again tomorrow.

There are at least two ways. Here is one:
Find the images in the explore and right click on it

Click Open with... if you don't see IrfanView click on Choice standard program

and here you find IrfanView on the list or browse to select IrfanView

You can alway remove the mark for Always use this program to open this file type.

The other way is to open the files from IrfanView.

(Some of the wording can be be different as it translated)

Tomas Neto: Thank you.
RickD: Thanks for the link.
bat: Thanks! I love making flags, seals and emblems!
vester: Thanks for the help. I hope I got it this time.

Hi I put the pictures into Irfanview and then uploaded them into image shack. So I hope that they're the right format this time.

Hey danielcote.  Nice start on your MD.  Your presentation looks promising as an MD to follow.  I love the greenspace in your last teaser image as well.  Very nicely presented.  I look forward to seeing more.

UPDATE

It has been 10 years now and much in the city has changed.

As you can see there are many new office buildings and apartments. The city has recently been instituting a city revitalization project. This project involves rebuilding some of the buildings that were destroyed during the second world war by the Japanese assault. It also includes improving the infrastructure of the city and improving the many facilities of the city.

Here is a night picture. The boat launch on the right side of the board walk caught on fire recently and is undergoing repairs.

Here is a picture of the newly constructed Delphine Condo Building. A new shining monument to the cities current economic prosperity.

Here is an example of some of the buildings that the city rehabilitation project has reconstructed. You can also see a fancy new fountain at the end of the road.

The city rehabilitation project has also brought a new office aria along with afew new apartments and a new tower for the city offices. The old city hall in the middle of the city centre plaza was getting too small for the amount of services the city was needing to provide so the city constructed a brand new city hall with a helipad on the roof. The old city hall now serves as a library.

As part of the city revitalization project a brand new state of the art hospital was built in the western suburbs. It specializes in chemotherapy, artificial limbs and Surgeries. As you can see there is also an outdoor concert hall. It is being prepped for the first concert that is going to be held there celebrating its opening.

Here is another picture of the western suburbs. In this part of town you can see Rochelle beach which is a very popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Speaking of tourists you can see along the shoreline the many luxury hotels. Further along the shore on the far left you can see the Layson College technique (Layson technical college). The picture also includes The Delphi Professional Tennis courts. Tennis is a very popular sport in Levause.

Here in this part of the eastern suburbs at the bottom of the pictures nuzled against the rail tracks you can see a branch of the Banque Nationale du Levause. Beside it is an apartment complex and at the top of the picture is the Levause Old folks home. In front of it you there are two 2ww spitfire monuments. The picture also includes some holes of the golf course which are scattered along the top of the eastern suburbs.

The easturn suburbs also include a small commercial and CBD aria along with a boardwalk aria along the coast. On the bottom right of the picture you can see the Eastern Delphi Library.

Another addition the city revitalization project has brought is this new Modern Art museum which is located in the Eastern Suburbs. It does not have all of its displays open but when it does it will have 21 exhibits.
